How to calculate calories on homemade broth?
Hi, I just made a pot of homemade vegetable broth. I didn't blend in any of the veg and just strained them out. 300 calories worth of veggies and oil went in, plus water. After straining out all the veggies, I got 14 8-oz. servings. That's 21 calories per cup. I'm calling it 25 just to be round about it. Thoughts?

New to Keto, Old to Calorie Counting - Friends Wanted
Hi, all, 35, Arizona. Looking for keto and non-keto buddies. Got about 75-100 to lose. I joined MFP back in 2010 and lost 85 lbs. Quit eating right and gained it all back these last few years. I'm completely confident in my plan and ability to be consistent. Now it's just a matter of time. I started counting calories again…

225-125 - friends wanted! :)
Hi, all, I've been a member for about 10 years but closed my original account when I lost 85 lbs., rejoined, fell off, signed in, fell off, etc. Welllll, I gained it all back, so I'm back! And I'm looking to friend-up. I'm 34 now so done with the yo-yo thing. I'm going for long-term sustainability and to finally reach my…

Yo-yo'ers, my people...add me!
I joined MFP in 2011 at 235 lbs. Over the next few years, I lost 85 lbs. Then gained it all back. To the ounce. My ultimate goal is 125 but I'm not hyper-fixated on that number. Just in the ballpark would please me, as long as I look and feel good there. I'm 33, 5' 3", live in Colorado, am engaged, and work a lot. I have a…

How did you get into weight training? Video recommendations wanted.
Please read the post before commenting. Specific request. :) I've always wanted to get into weight training. My strong-as-hell mom used to lift weights and tried to show me a few times but I never stuck with it long enough to feel any strength. I'm super weak right now, though, and my gym has free weights. I'm starting…

Not losing on 1200?
Hi, all, Not sure what to do here. Been stuck at 195/194 last week and a half. I know it's not a long time, but makes me impatient. Counting accurately, weighing my food and including all calorie sources from drinks, condiments, extras of any kind. Not working out quite yet, so no muscle gain or anything like that going…

Anyone else doing an x-#-of-days challenge? How's it going?
I'm 2/3 of the way (so 66 days) into my 100 day challenge. The challenge is simple: net as close to goal calories as possible for 100 days. That's it! I make a note of any substantial exercise, but it hasn't been a priority. Getting there, though, as it warms up, I've started hiking again. I love hiking! I've managed to…

31F, 5'4". 235->152->235->201...
Hi, all. I joined MFP in 2011 under a different username. Over the course of the year, I lost 85 lbs. by counting calories and irregularly working out (mainly bike rides). I maintained that loss for three years. Then I started bar tending and for all sorts of reasons, gained all the weight back over another two or three…

Can I burn off 1200 calories then eat a pizza?
Seriously. I'm going hiking all day tomorrow and I want to know if I can immediately eat as many calories as I burn. Alternatively, can I eat half a pizza and THEN burn it all off? Is it linear like that? And I plan to actually burn closer to 1800, but I can't eat that much pizza. ;) Thanks for any help!

What 101 lbs. Overweight Looks Like (Animated GIF)
I just took these photos this afternoon. This is the real deal. I've lost 20 lbs. in the last 2 months and am much less "lumpy" but I have a long way to go. Sometimes the static images we see in the mirror and in photos don't really tell the whole story. Motion does. Anyone else losing 100 or more? If you're in a state of…
