So far so good w/pics
So I started a little heavier than the photo in the pink. Sorry had to blur out a couple people. In the first photo I was about 220 and was actually 241 when I started this journey. The second one was Thanksgiving and I’ve lost another 10 pounds since then, currently sitting at a maintaining weight of 120 pounds. But this…

Your opinion on my activity level?
I started my journey at 241 pounds. As of right now I’m about 120 pounds. On top of my daily activities like housework errands etc. I have a job as a laundry attendant at work. I work at a hotel, winter is slower than summer of course. Daily activities include lifting sheets, towels ( wet and dry) each load probably…

What should my activity level really be?
So right now I work 4 days a week cleaning houses and Saturday and Sunday I work anywhere between 5-6 hours at a hotel doing the laundry. At the houses I do everything you would expect when paying someone to clean your house. At the hotel I do laundry for usually 64 rooms, which all include washing the duvets everyday plus…

So far
Well so far I have went from 240 to 178 since January. I have went from a size 22W jeans to a 14 and from a mens size xl shirt to a womens medium. I am not done just yet, although I feel so much better. I walked passed a mirror yesterday and thought to myself that I was looking good. Nobody really noticed my weight loss…

Journey not completed but so far 47 pounds down.
Figured I would put up my photos so far. This is hard for me to do, I am a very private person. So here goes... My journey started when I realized that I wasn't comfortable in my body anymore. I couldn't do things like I used to so I wanted to make myself healthier. I'm nowhere near where I want to be but for now I'm…

Sodium
So I went to the doctor for dizziness upon standing. After we had a conversation she asked how much sodium o was taking in a day I told her about 1500 mg. She was surprised and said no no no you should be getting way more than that. I asked her how much and she said 4000 to get sodium levels back up and then no more than…

The things you do when your kids/husband is away.
I've been on this weightloss journey for almost 3 months. I have been doing really good and I get comments from my kids and husband on how great I'm doing. Tonight the kids are at a sleepover and the husband is at work. I'm telling you, I NEVER get a day or evening alone. So I could eat my face out on all the yummy snacks,…

Scale not moving, normal?
I've been eating the same, doing the same amount of activity, drinking the same amount of water and the scale has been in yo-yo for a week. One day I'll weigh 196.2 next time it will be 196.6 and so on. I was losing a pound about every 6 days and then bam, it just stopped. I would say it was water retention from this last…

What would I put my activity level at?
I've always been curious about this question. I work Monday through Thursday cleaning homes for the elderly. Usually I work anywhere between 5 to 7 hours a day. On Friday through Sunday I am usually busy running doing different things probably only sit down an average of 2 to 3 hours a day. I don't ever know what to put my…

Who eats lighter through the week?
Let's say that you have a night out coming on Saturday and so to stay under your weekly calorie goal you eat fewer calories through the week. Does anybody do this? I don't do this but I have been curious about it.

What stretch mark cream have you had success with?
I have tried a couple and it takes a little while to see results. I start to see results but then no matter if I keep using it like recommended it never works past a certian point. What do you use?

Sodium and potassium
If i eat a meal higher in sodium but also high in potassium does it help to counteract the sodium water retention? I have heard that potassium helps with sodium because it helps to neutralize it in your body.

Net calories
Another poster got me thinking. What exactly are net calories? I'm alloted 1730 calories right now but my net calories says 909.

I'm in Onederland!
I have always been heavier. Even though now a days it seems even if your at 160 people still say your fat. I was always at least 30 pounds heavier than my older sister but she is small and skinny. Anytime we would get into it she would call me a fat sow and 160 was how much I weighed at that time. I got married, had a…

Besides calories what other things do you limit?
People ask me what I limit. I tell them calories and sugar. I also feel better when I limit my sodium, don't feel so bloated. A coworker said she is losing weight just by portion control and having a very strict limit on carbs. I feel like everyone I hear from says limit this, limit that. I have lost 38 pounds so far…

Food package has two nutrition labels
I went to a whole foods store and bought a pack of strawberry crackers. The nutrition on it looked decent so I bought them. Tonight I was looking at the package and noticed that they stuck a nutrition label in top of the original nutrition label. I had two bags so I took off the extra label to one to compare the bags. All…

Fat burning zone
Okay so let's say I work out for 15 minutes. When does your body start burning calories? I have researched that once you get to your fat burning zone you start to lose fat. If you go below its just calories, same for if you go over the range. So my question is, do you burn calories as soon as you start, but only burn fat…

How many grams of sugar a day can you have and still lose weight?
I'm alloted 1700 calories a day. How many grams of sugar do you eat a day and still see weightloss? Usually I don't go over 20 grams of sugar a day and most days I don't get close to that. Just a curious question.
-
How do you get in your calories?
At the end of the day I have between 600 and 900 calories left for the day. Everything I eat has sodium, some more than others. Sodium isn't good for my body, and I say that because my body wants to hold water weight even if I only eat 700 mg a day. I have heard that if you sont eat ebough calories a day your body will…

Difference between petite and regular sizes
The jeans I was wearing before my weightloss journey was a 22w regular. I recently bought a size 20w petite and they fit pretty good. I have lost 35 pounds so far and the 22 are pretty big. They fall off if I don't have a belt. Thing is, since they were so big I figured I probably lost at least 2 pant sizes yet I've only…

Roller skating
I am taking my kids skating today. I plan to log it in mfp because I don't skate often, use to but not anymore. When I put it in mfp it says for 2 hours it's over 1000 calories burned! Is this right? Does anybody do this and use the numbers mfp gives you or do you put in your own numbers? Answers are appreciated.

How many calories do you really burn?
Let's say I go indoor skating, haven't been in awhile so this might be scary ha ha. Since I don't use skating as an excercise because I don't ever do it I planned to put something into MFP for calories burned. I'm taking my kids so it will be 3 or more hours that I'm there. I know I won't be skating the whole time but…

Sodium
Soo I have been pretty good at exercising lately and counting my calories seems to be pretty easy. I excercise 5 days a week mostly 2 times a day because I'm in the beginning stages of weightloss. One thing that is almost driving me crazy is my sodium intake. I do everything I can to keep my sodium at a minimum but it…
