How do you get in your calories?

At the end of the day I have between 600 and 900 calories left for the day. Everything I eat has sodium, some more than others. Sodium isn't good for my body, and I say that because my body wants to hold water weight even if I only eat 700 mg a day. I have heard that if you sont eat ebough calories a day your body will hold onto your reserves which makes it harder to lose weight. However, what can I add to my diet that is low in sodium so that I can eat more of my daily limit of calories. I've been given 1770 calories a day but sometimes because of excercise and what my calorie untake is I have soo many calories left for the day and sometimes feel hungry before I go to bed. I want my weightloss to thrive and I want to learn to keep it at a healthy weight so I need all the education I can get.

Food you make yourself from scratch so you are in control of the sodium.
But your body does get used to it, the bloating is probably coming because you limit it so much so when you do have a lot your body is like woah nelly! You also have to be sure to get enough fluids (and food also counts in that, along with coffee, soda, tea).1 -
Eat more whole foods...processed foods and restaurant foods have a lot of sodium as it is a preservative.2

How much sodium do you have left? I made a non-dairy frittata last night by sauteeing veggies in a small sauce pan in 1 tsp olive oil. I then added 3 beaten eggs (depending on the size of your sauce pan, amount of your veggies, amount you want to eat, you could use 2; I was just hungry), let it start to set on the bottom, and stuck it under the broiler for about 5 minutes. Depending on how high the sides of your pot are, you might need more or less time. I just don't own small skillets, this was a 1 qt sauce pan.
Sodium content for 3 eggs (213), 1 cup mushrooms (4), 110 grams green beans (7) 81 grams onion (3) and 26 grams cherry tomatoes (2): 229. Calories: 343. Now I did add salt and pepper, but you can use other seasonings. And I had 2 tbsp salsa with it.1 -

That makes sense. I was getting less than I am now and I'm slowly adding more. Right now I'm at about 700 mg a day and would like to increase to no more than 1200 a day. You are right on about the " woah nelly" comment. My body screams it to me then it says, "Here you go have a fat belly and fat thighs for a few days." Ha ha.0 -

On my current limit I have about 400 mg left for the day. If I go over by a little I can deal with it but if I go over by too much then I just feel so bloated.0 -
to up your calories try to add avocado, bananas, raisins to your plan, they all have good amounts of potassium(and calories)_which should help balance out the sodium as you increase it,also all natural Almond butter with no salt or sugar added is higher cal-low volume.2
