Measuring eggs to log with or without shell?
The nutrition information for my eggs is measured in grams, and I always put the egg on my food scale and log it before cracking it into the pan. However, it just occurred to me - am I overestimating my cals since I don't eat the eggshell? Basically, should I weigh my eggs to log before or after cracking them? I had this…

Going from Barbells to Kettlebells
I used to lift heavy 3x a week - I did starting strength initially, then after ~6 months modified it to suit my purposes. Squats, deads, bench, rows, pull ups, etc. However, in March I had chest surgery (breast deformity, so, not open-chest surgery thankfully) and again in May. Due to the geometry of handling a barbell,…

Eating back your exercise cals... When you've met dietary li
On days I do cardio, I have no problem sourcing a couple hundred calories to eat back and keep at my 1200 budget. However, if I was already at or close to my fat/sugar/carbs limits (I don't care about overstepping protein) then how should I go about doing this? Should I just ignore the numbers and eat back exercise cals as…

Counting the time you do cardio?
How precisely do you count it? For example, I like to jump rope for 30 min, but between every 60-120 jumps I like to take a breather. Should I count this as 30? Or estimate how many minutes I'm spending resting?

175 (or less!) calorie Mocha Frappuccino!
I looove frappuccinos at Starbucks but they're like $5 with more sugar in it than you should have in it a day! This is modified a bit from a recipe I found online. Also, I use skim cow milk - if you use various unsweetened non dairy milk, the calories could go as low as like 45. Check what ya have! 2 cups milk 1/2 tsp…

Natural Chocolate Spread!
While this is still isn't super low cal or low fat, it is made of natural delicious ingredients and is lower in calories and fat, and higher in protein, than nutella! A healthier source of a high energy morning spread :) 2 parts natural peanut butter (I use Pic's Really Good PB from here in NZ) 1 part raw honey (Earthbound…
