iOS 7 woes
I just upgraded to iOS7 only to find out that my app no longer works. Anyone have any ideas to fix or replace the app?

gripless weightlifting
Yesterday, while taking down a shade tent, my hand got caught in the mechanism and got kinda mangled. I can hardly type and my grip is going to be useless. I don't want to completely stop lifting though. Any ideas?

bench press fail
I'm not sure what happened and a post in the StrongLifts forum didn't yeild any responses. I have been doing SL for a bit. Last session I failed at 65lbs bench and required assistance. So today, since I didn't have any helper with me, I decided to use the smith machine rather than free weights. I loaded a 25 lb, a 5 lb and…

Grip Instruction with photo or video?
I'm guessing that someone here can easily direct me to something I can't seem to find myself. I would like to :noway: see:noway: how to grip/hold on to the bar while weightlifting.

Losing Muscle
For a while I was losing fat and gaining muscle – in the past few weeks however I’m Gaining Fat and Losing Muscle. I’ve recently added in more protein and started regular and hard resistance training and heavy lifting. Are there any other tips out there? I’m also going to do a rest day because I’d rather stop losing weight…

Running The Numbers ...
When I got up this morning the scale was UP -- weight up, body fat up (which means lean body mass down). I decided to grab a cuppa coffee and pull some numbers together. I’m a geek – admittedly. I can work a spreadsheet. Here’s what I’ve learned this fine Sunday morning. I’ve endeavored to answer each of your questions…

Empty Bar Is Too Heavy ...
Per your suggestion I'm starting StrongLifts. I've read the book and watched the video(s). I totally understand the reasoning behind getting away from the Smith Machine and other machines. Here's my thing: my gym only has 45 lb straight barbells. The only bars that weigh less are the curved ones. Do I modify the exercises…

thank you in advance for any advice you provide
1) What's your current intake of calories gross, on average? I’m a bit of a geek and have been tracking/graphing this: It seems that I’m eating an average of 9912 calories week or 1416 on an average day. I am generally a sedentary person but I do work out hard 4-5x per week. I burn about 12975 calories a week or about 2129…

Honest (and Kind) Feedback Please
I am not fishing for compliments or looking for false reassurance. I’m seeking honest feedback because I think I have a history of not seeing things as clearly as maybe I should (both too positive and not quite positive enough). I’ve been losing weight. I can see a bit of a difference in my face although I’m sad that my…

A WAIST is a terrible thing to mind ...
Today it’s too cold to run outside so I decided to find a YouTube video of a dance class for me to do for my work out. I found my old belly dancing skirt and since no one was home I pulled up my shirt, moved the mirror and decided I'd focus on seeing if I could find any of my old form. To my utter surprise I noticed a…
