Huge NSV!
My weight has still not gone down, but I'm over it  For those of you who are 'suffering' from 'it's not working' syndrome because the scale has not been going down, I have had some awesome NSV's that prove to me this is worth it in the long run. When I started in January, one of my physical goals was to be able to…

Week Off??
OK, so I am eating around TDEE this week (2650-2750 per day), after March and the first week of April on deficit. I am at the weight I started my deficit at, although it went down two pounds for about a week in there, then I started lifting, and it went up and has stayed up. I am currently five pounds heavier than my…

Very worried!!
Quick stats Female 19 5'6" 149 pre-reset 154ish end of reset and currently Macros: 40%c 30%f 30%p (roughly, and I always get more than my body weight in protein on workout days, usually on others as well) TDEE 2600-2700 (I am not exact about measuring food, therefore leave some extra room when counting, also why I went to…

Kinesis Wall Weight Question
How much does each block weigh on the kinesis wall? For example, I was using it for lat pull downs, and had the pins on the number 7 on both sides, what weight was I pulling down? Thanks!

NROL4W Stage 1, Workout A1 Complete!
I did my first lifting today!! And I really liked it. Workout A took me about 30 minutes to complete. Question 1: Do you all warm up before you lift? I did about 6 minutes on an elliptical. Good/bad? Question 2: I was unsure about the weights I should be using. I am reasonably strong, but no superwoman, that's for sure. To…

Encouargement Please
So I did about a 6 week reset, then started my cut at 154.6 two weeks ago. Last Friday I weighed 152.0, which was more than I expected to lose with my deficit (18%ish), but not impossible because of water weight, etc. Well, this morning I weighed 153.4. Very disappointed  My exercise has slowed down a little bit, but…

NSV: I finished my meal at a restaurant!!
Weird one, I know :) It makes me happy to say I had wonderful pork tenderloin with red potatoes and spaghetti squash. I finished it all and was not feeling stuff to the gills! No after Thanksgiving dinner feeling to speak of  I have had an awesome day in many aspects!!!

Thought for today!
You are closer to your goal than you were yesterday!!! That is my goal at the end of everyday, whether because I ate well, exercised right, or felt good about myself :)

High Calorie Day vs TDEE every 4-6 weeks??
So, I was fiddling with the spreadsheet again, and noticed it recommends 1 high calorie day and 6 deficit days. Should I be doing this, rather than eating at TDEE every 4-6 weeks for a week? Which way did you cut?

Mental Success!
I started my deficit yesterday, and survived eating 2130 (2128!), and went to bed and woke up hungry, which I assume means my metabolism, as of yet, is not going back to VLCD mode (although I wouldn't expect that to change overnight :) ) I already cannot weight for my return to TDEE though!! My success --> I did not touch…

Heavy Lifting
I am convinced. I need to start lifting! I am planning on starting the week of March 18th, as I have a sport season championship the weekend before that, and I shouldn't switch up my routine right before hand (my coach would go nuts  ). I was reading the thread a ways down the page about beginner strength training,…

Reset- How Long?
I have been reading all the EM2WL literature, here as well as on the website. Most people say 8 or so weeks for the reset. I have been doing EM2WL for a little over 3 weeks. I have not gained much at all (149/150 to 151/152), and am now eating 2300-2400, although my TDEE is supposedly more like 2500-2600 (I might not be…

TDEE recalculation
I need to recalculate my TDEE for this week because I am not exercising as much as the past few months and I am not sure if I was totally correct before. Average daily exercise is now 80 minutes daily (five days worth divided by seven, plus a little for races on weekends) including a mix of strenuous, moderate swimming,…

I need motivation to continue!!
I upped my calories three weeks ago (and am continuing to up them to get to TDEE of about 2500), and I gained two full pounds this past weekend, while having gained three pounds in the first week. Five pounds up and am almost back at my starting weight from a few months ago :( It is really hurting me mentally, I know I…

Two Weeks In
I have been EM2WL for two weeks now, and weigh two and a half pounds more than I did when I started. I had also dropped a few pounds right before starting EM2WL, so I am the same as I was three weeks ago. Is this about where I should be? And how long can I expect this to last before I lose some weight, and will I likely…

Sugar Intake WAY To High According To MFP?!
I know I am not the best at keeping my sugar intake down, but isn't 30 g a really small amount? Also, MFP counts ALL sugars, not just added sugars, so it's like eating an apple punishes you, because it has such a high amount of natural sugar in it. Also, would you count honey as a natural sugar or added sugar (I like to…

Questions from a Newbie
So, I posted yesterday about eating 1200-1400 and exercising somewhere around 15 hours a week for the past 4-5 months. I decided to try this since low-cal was not working. I upped my caloric intake to 1500, but I ended up being sooo hungry! It was kind of nice to actually feel really hungry again :) I ended up eating more…

Intro
Been using MFP for a while, but decided I needed some extra motivation. I am 5'6'' and weigh 150 lb. I wan to get down to 130-135 lb in the next three months. I exercise a fair amount (14h+/wk), am an athlete, but definitely have some extra fat that would be wonderful to be rid of to improve performance and be able to do a…
