Does anyone else find it hard...
...to eat right on their you days from the gym or exercising? I find that when I take a day off, it's super hard to eat right. I know it just basically comes down to making the right decision, but man I find it tough!

Does this happen to anyone else?
So I find that on my days off, when I work out longer and harder and really kick things up, I'm usually up a pound or two the next day. I know that weight fluctuates and I usually weigh myself just once a week, and I know that in the end it will all come out in the wash...I was just wondering if this happens to anyone…

I JUST realized...
...I FINALLY weigh what my driver's license says I do! As a matter of fact, I'm a pound less that that! I must have shaved off 60 lbs when I lied and wrote in my weight.  But I'm not a liar anymore!! :drinker:

What's the best fish to eat?
I feel like something other than chicken or turkey for dinner tonight. I am out right now (at the gym! lol) and don't have a lot of time to research what's the healthiest to eat. I'm sure it's probably salmon, and I'll eat it because I know it's good for me, though I don't love it. What are some other good healthy kinds of…

Are sneakers washable?
Mine are a mess! I want to put them in the washing machine but don't want to ruin them. Any tips for me?

Every number I go down...
...is a new number for me! The lowest number I remember myself being in recent years was189. That was about 10 years ago. I weighed in this morning at 186! I've never seen myself weigh 186, so it's exciting! I can remember at one point in about 1996 I was on a diet and I was about 170, 175. Aside from that, I have no idea…

"A Cleanse That Isn't Crazy"
I read this in Women's Health magazine, and found it interesting. I know a lot of people here have posted about doing cleanses, and thought this article might help someone out: http://www.womenshealthmag.com/nutrition/detox-diet "How's this for insane? One in 20 women would rather give up a limb than be obese, according to…

Roller blading
Are there any roller bladers here? I am interested in leanring more about blading. I can roller skate sort of okay, but how different (and how much harder) is blading? How much does a decent pair cost? How does it compare to skating, fitness wise...better, not as good as...? There is a long trail by my apartment that I…

Breakfast calories question
How many calories do you normally eat for breakfast? Is it better to eat allotted calories evenly throughout the day? I find that I usually have the lowest calories intake in the morning. And I think I am finding that I'm not eating enough for breakfast. I usually go to the gym afterwards, and by the time I'm done…

Egg whites
Okay, so I usually have an egg and an egg white for breakfast a few times a week...and I feel bad throwing the rest of the egg away! The cartons of egg whites, are any of them good? I tried one years ago, I don't remember which brand, but I was NOT a fan. But then again, I did not really eat healthy then, and would…

When am I going to learn?
When am I going to learn that if I eat junk and don't treat my body right, it's going to revolt and wake me up miserably at 4am? When is my body going to learn that I'm not going to treat it like that all the time, so maybe once in a while it can handle it?

Question about portion sizes...
Okay, so I was eating some Hormel Turkey Chili. According to the label, a serving size is 247 grams. Servings per container: 2. So I weigh out my 247 grams...and decide, "Ah, I'll just have the whole can." I go to weigh out the second serving (because I'm anal like that), and heeeeey, that second serving isn't the same…

Store brand vs Name brand
Do you mostly buy the generic store brand, or name brand food items? I'm just curious. I've found that, at Kroger's, their store brand items (Private Selection and Active Lifestyle) are really good. Wal-mart too has some good generic products. Do you prefer to buy generic because it's cheaper, or name brand because you…

Sketchers or Reebok Easy Tone sneakers
Has anyone tried the new Sketchers Shape Ups? Or the Avia Avi-motion, or the Reebok Easy Tone sneakers? What do you think of them? I wear sneakers to work 8 hours a day, and I need a new pair...so does anyone have any recommendations? I'm interested in real reviews from people who have tried them, not people who have never…

Anyone NOT like their POlar F6?
I am in the market for a new HRM...I;ve heard all great things about the Polar F6/7, but wanted to do a bit more research before plopping down $110 or so. Is there anything that someone doesn't like about their Polar? Is there another brand that you think is better?

Sneaky diet soda!
I love orange soda, and I always drink diet Orange Crush soda. Now, thinking that it's diet, I just always assumed it was 0 calories...but the label today happened to catch my eye, and it's got 15 calories, not 0! I know that's not a ton, (and i don't drink a ton of it either) but still...:grumble: Lesson learned...just…

Mmmmmmm butter!
I rarely let myself have real, full fat 100% butter, but when I do...Oh my goodness! I just sit and savor the buttery creamy-ness of a tablespoon or two on some whole wheat toast and marvel and the deliciousness of it. Sorry, I'm on a butter high right now.

Oh I'm so close!
So close to the 50 lbs mark! I know on here my ticker says like 28 or so, but that's since I've started here in May. I lost an additional 18 before I started here, so 46 lbs since January of 2009. I moved just before starting, so a lot of my friends haven't seen me almost 50 lbs lighter...I hope to get rid of more, and to…

Carb question
How can I look at something and be able to identify it as a bad or high carb? I mean, I can look at most things and be able to identify it as mostly sugar (jellies, juices, condiments, etc.), or I can look at something and tell if it's bad fats (sauces, creamy dressings, etc). But I don't know how to look at something and…

Natural peanut butter
I am looking to try different natural peanut butters...I have tried this one http://www.naturallymore.com/nutrition.html and while it was really good, I don't like the separation issue. I can never mix it properly, so one spoonful is all oily, and the other is dry and hard as a rock! Are there any tips on how to…

How far in advance do you log your food?
I'm curious. Do you log it as you go? Or log it in the morning, planning what you're going to eat for the day? Does anyone here go as far as logging and planning for the week?

I missed this place!
I went away for the holidays and went all out and jumped off the MFP wagon...and even though I gained a few pounds, I'm not beating myself up over it like I always used to do. I worked out a few times at my dad's home gym, and played with my neices and nephew a lot for exercise (my 6 year old neice would hold on to my leg…

Gym pet peeves
So we've got a thread going here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/70440-pet-peeves about general pet peeves...Every day I go to the gym I see tons of pet peeves: Women who don't wear shoes (not even flip flops) in the locker room. Today I was in a bathroom stall and someone walked in to the stall next to mine…
