I missed this place!

I went away for the holidays and went all out and jumped off the MFP wagon...and even though I gained a few pounds, I'm not beating myself up over it like I always used to do. I worked out a few times at my dad's home gym, and played with my neices and nephew a lot for exercise (my 6 year old neice would hold on to my leg and allow herself to be dragged on the floor, and she'd say "Walk faster! Go! Now the other leg! Do your exercises!" Then she'd lay on the floor and I'd use her body weight doing arm curls and she'd go "Ten more, five more!"  And I'd be so sore the next day!)
I think I'm not beating myself up over gaining a few pounds because I know I'll get back on track and kick *kitten* again. It's like somehow over the last year it's clicked. I am able to go away and enjoy myself because I know I can do it all again, and do it better, and continue where I left off. I don't know how it's finally clicked, but it did...and I am loving it.
When I was away, I kept thinking, "I can't wait to get back home and eat right and oh I miss the gym and logging food and keeping track of everything...!" All the compliments I got were a great motivator too!
I hope that for those of you still struggling that somehow, it clicks and you realize that you can do it even though there are slips and ups and downs and life sometimes gets in the way...you can do it!
