I just got a Garmin 410 HR monitor and did one of my super challenging hill workouts. My average HR for 55min was 176bpm with a max of 187. I ran 5km and 2500ft of elevation. Can't seem to loose on 1300-1500 cals per day
I am a bit stumped. I recently put on a few pounds and would like to get back down to my previous weight of 108. I exercise very regularly burning between 400-900 calories a session. How many miles per week? Anyone running trails?
Just curious...how many miles are you running per week? I run about 30-50 on trails. I usually just log them as 6miles/hr but I know I'm likely burning more with thousands of feet elevation gain and uneven surfaces. Anyone else out there running trails? If so, how do you log them?

Best heart rate monitor for calorie burn and distance
I'm curious what peoples experiences are with HR monitors. I want a good one to track calorie burn (so I can make sure I eat enough) as well as track my distance when I trail run or go out rowing. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Can't net 1200
I can never seem to net 1200 calories on days when I'm active (most days). Today I'm barely clearing 400. I've been doing this for years and haven't gained or lost weight. If I eat more, I'll gain. I work as an on call obstetrical care provider. If I get called at 0300 and eat breakfast then should I be eating an extra meal if I don't get to bed by 2200 at night? Should I increase my caloric intake to account for the extra time spent working on my feet? Just wondering?
