Fattest/Fittest cities in the U.S.
I found this list pretty interesting. I lived outside of Philadelphia for the past three years and now that I've moved back to the western part of the state near Pittsburgh, I def see a weight difference!! I never felt really HUGE (even though I am!) in Philadelphia like I do here in western PA. Now I know why. Where do…

Only lost 1lb in nine days
Good morning MFPs! I've been dieting for as long as I can remember, trying to find lifestyle changes that'll stick forever. Since I had my son a year ago, I haven't beening modifying my lifestyle as much. I took advantage of burning a lot of calories breastfeeding and I hadn't had the energy to exercise. Well, now I'm back…

Plastic surgery after major weight loss
So I have 53lbs to lose to my goal. After getting a "mini" abdominoplasty after c-section complications, the results have me thinking. I would love a breast lift and I have always had the fat "apron" the skin would be terrible looking. Does anyone else plan on getting surgery when their weight loss goals are achieved?

Tired after donating blood?
I donated blood on Tuesday afternoon (two days ago now) and I'm really feeling tired today. I took Tuesday off from exercise and had a night high iron meal of extra lean beef and broccoli. I went to my normal Zumba class last night and when i came home, I was wiped out! I barely had energy to get a shower. I went to bed…

Best Films you've seen (1995-Present), IYO
Everyone always says the best movies are the classics, but I can think of a ton of box office hits in the past 20 years that have made film history. A lot of the time, some films go unrecognized in their greatness. If you go to: http://www.imdb.com/features/15thanniversary/staff , these folks picks some of the movies they…

Watching carb/sugar intake but need more fiber
Hello mfp!!! Ok, so I follow a reduced carbohydrate diet (less than 100g per day). It's working for me (I have an insulin production deficiency) however, I'm having trouble meeting my daily fiber needs. I know that fiber is so important to a balanced diet, however most fiber is in some form of carbohydrate usually…

One year with mfp 30lbs gone!(pics)
This may not look like much of a weightloss, since I was so heavy to begin with. I have PCOS which makes weightloss more of a challenge. It's been one year since I've joined MFP and I've lost 27lbs that I am happy to say have KEPT off! More to come in 2012!!! I gained 3lbs over the holidays, but I'm back in the game and…

Condiment Thievery
I'm guilty of "hoarding" the remaining unopened condiment packets from to-go places especially if they're relatively healthy (e.g. hot sauces, light mayo, mustard, lemon juice, etc). I'm not saying I grab a handful, just one or two more than I'm going to use for the food I got. Also, I have trouble turning down a free…

Is your diary public or private? Why?
My diary has always been viewable to anyone who becomes connected with me on MFP. I see this site as a tool for consumption improvement, and your "pals" are here to help by critiquing your diary. I know personally if there are ways my friends feel I should improve, I'm open to suggestion. Also, I don't really feel like I…

Random Facts Time!
I used to be a lot of fun, but now I've fallen into a boring routine. My co-workers have the sense of humor of a wet bag of kittens. I anything that can make me laugh is good in my book I think Family guy and the Chappelle's Show are totally epic, and it will be hard to top shows so amazing. I think other languages and…

Waiting on the world to change
I know this sounds like I'm a beauty pageant contestant or something, but are there some things out there that you can't help, that you really wish you could change? I know I tear up when I hear about another young person who is a victim of yet another gun crime, all because they thought that was a way to make money. Why…

Pennsylvania Workout buddies
There's nothing I enjoy more than my friendships I've aquired on MFP. However, I think it would be awesome if I could get together with some of them in person and have a good ole workout with 'em! I'm currently residing in western PA But I travel often through out the state. So PA people, also some MD, OH, WV, or Delaware.…

What is there left to eat?!
Trans fats, cholesterol, carbs, sodium. Calories, fat, sugar, soy. All are things I personally should cut or dramatically reduce from my diet. But I'd like to know, whats left besides leafy greens? How would I obtain adequate nutrition??? Trans fats include: Butter, baked goods, breakfast cereals, animal fats, dairys, oils…

GNC 7 day fast flush
I was thinking, I haven't been quite as successful with weight-loss since before the holidays. I was thinking of changing my diet up a little bit, restricting it a little more, etc. I was thinking of jump starting it by doing one of those 3-day liquid diets or trying GNC's 7 day fast flush. I would love to hear all of your…

Motivating Song Lyrics
I admit. I have what I call "power songs". It's music that gets me hype. From Break ups to work outs to just a night out with the girls. Usually there are specific lyrics that really hit home for me. Heavy guitar riffs or a good beat help too, but it's mostly those lyrics! What are your favorite song lyrics from your…

Help! I'm taking in too much sodium!
The main problem with light/fat free foods, is that they are nearly DOUBLE the sodium as regular fat food. This wouldn’t be a huge problem for most people, however, I experience pre-hypertension. How can I cut down on sodium and not compromise extra calories? Also I'm a working woman on the go, so fast and easy call to me!…
