That being said I have specific reasons for wanting to bulk slowly. Although I am planning to continue the Stronglifts 5x5 plan I started in…

Pectoral Implants
Has anyone considered this option for an easier solution than the gym? I have been lifting regularly since January 1st but am not yet seeing the definition in my pectoral muscles that I desire. As of right now, I am happy with the (gradual) progress in most of my other muscle groups but my pecs are slow to develop. I know…

Favorite Fitness Gadget
What are your favorite fitness gadgets and why? I love my dip belt and HRM the most. 1. Pull Ups/Chin Ups are great, but doing them with added weights is even better. 2. I am not always a great judge of my own heart rate. Running with my HRM allows me to run at close to my ideal pace for increasing my aerobic capacity.

Help! Is my dog is starvation mode?
First off I admit that I have a spoiled dog. He usually eats whatever I do just in slightly lesser portions (typical American diet). Recently my friends, cousins babysitter (who is dating a veterinarian) said that she thought it was selfish for me to focus on my health while ignoring the health of my dog. Since I joined…

2013 race schedules
I thought it would be cool to put our 2013 anticipated race calendars in one thread. That way we can motivate each other to train for/participate in more events and perhaps learn about a few races we were not yet aware of. Set your goals early so that you have time to properly train! The only race I ran in my life prior to…

Red Wine and the Heart
To those of you who like to read studies published in reputable Medical Journals, what are your thoughts on the following? Not trying to lose weight?
Anyone in this group not trying to lose weight? I just completed the first diet of my life (lost 25 pounds since August) and now am back to the lower/middle end of the healthy 19/25 BMI range instead of the upper end. Potassium
Looking over my nutrient intake I seem to be in my target ranges of most every day. Potassium is the big exception. I rarely reach 2000mg and am never close to the 3500 recommended intake.
