Trail running...in MUD...?
I’m about crying. We’ve had so much rain the past year that the trails are muddy creeks. When it was cold enough, I could run them, but now...? Is there any way I can make trail running work in these conditions? Anyone have ideas? Otherwise it looks like I’ll be waiting a really long time. :(

90 lbs today!
I’m so excited!

Transition
I’ve lost 94lbs and I’m at about 24-25%bf. I’d like to get a little leaner, closer to 20-21%bf. I am not vegetarian, but I limit animal products because my body doesn’t digest them very well. So my diet is predominantly vegan/vegetarian. I’ve been lazy about transitioning from major weight loss mode into maintenance/muscle…

Handstand Question
I’m just starting. I’m doing a wall handstand for 10 seconds at a time. Is it normal for my wrists to hurt? Is there a way to strengthen them?

Overcoming runner’s knee
I really miss running. I used to go five miles, but now my knee starts hurting at 3/4 mile. I’m stretching and working to strengthen my legs through training. But is there anything else I can try?

Calisthenics buddies?
I’m a few months into my calisthenics training and feeling alone. It’s part of my shift from weight loss to maintenance too. I’m hoping to find a friend or two on here who are also into calisthenics. It would be great to share challenges and victories.

Loose skin?
Talk to me about your experience here. It seems like I’ll have a steady loss and my face looks almost worse for a while until my skin adjusts. But my body (belly, arms, thighs) is probably going to take another year for it to really settle? When do you know it’s going to take more than toning to deal with the flabby,…

Nutrition for calisthenics
I’m looking for input from people who are doing calisthenics training. I’ve switched my entire workout routine to focus on 3 or 4- 2 hour calisthenics sessions/week (and I still walk/run 3-4 miles on the off days). I had been aiming at 1500 cal/day (still have around 20 lbs to lose), but I think I’m under-eating, just from…

I’m still working on the last 20. Size 22 to 6, but in that one picture I’m wearing size 4 jeans!

Last 20 lbs
I’m feeling stuck. I’ve lost 70 lbs in the last year, 60 in 8 months, but it’s really hard to get the last 20 off. I’m running/hiking/climbing at least 10 miles a week, and also doing a solid strength training program. I eat clean, and I do intermittent fasting (for spiritual reasons, but I feel the health benefits too). I…

how do you count weight on a barbell?
I'm used to doing dumbbell lifting, and I've always counted the weight as the weight of one of the dumbbells I'm lifting. But how do you count barbell weight? If the one weight says 25 lbs, does that mean that you count 50 lbs? Do you add the weight of the bar? I'm wondering how to keep records. Thanks!

what are your avg lifting lbs in NROLFW?
I'm trying to figure out how to plan to build up my weight room. I was doing BFL-style lifting, and I only have up to 30lbs, which with NROLFW I am already pushing past in some moves, easy. Can anyone give me an idea as to how heavy and what kinds of weights you would get to continue through NROLFW? thanks!

protein help-- need non-refined PWOP
Hi! I've been having trouble with processed protein sources like whey protein shakes or bars affecting my health due to the sugar alcohols and processed junk (and I want to avoid the soy as well). I'm wondering if I can use other protein sources as post-workout protein. I like shakeology, but I can't afford it. I make my…

Lifting and pregnancy
I'd like some of your thoughts on lifting while pregnant. I'm not pregnant at present or anything, but I've been many times. I've often wondered why people get freaked and warn so much about not lifting weights while pregnant. I mean, there are workouts for pregnant women. So why can't they lift weights? Or is it just like…

Can you eat too much protein?
What do you think? Within calorie limits, does eating heavier on the protein side have a negative effect that I'm unaware of? Eating more protein helps curb my cravings and also gives me more substance for my workouts, I feel. I do eat other things-- veggies, complex carbs, fats, but I eat a lot of protein with it. I try…

Insanity now or later?
I'm wondering if I could manage Insanity now at 217lbs, or if I should wait about 6 months until I've lost some more weight? Has anyone tried Insanity at 80 lbs over their ideal weight and stuck with it with good results? I'm wondering if the impact would cause injury at this point. Or do you just modify it until you are…
