Momentum?
A girlfriend of mine just posted this quote on her Facebook: "If you took all that energy you put towards hating your body into changing it, you would be amazed with the results." That's all fine and dandy, but the hatred I have toward my body doesn't feel so much like energy. It feels like a weight, keeping me down.…

Weight Training
I prefer weight training to cardio, and I know it helps burn fat, but when I enter it into the diary here it doesn't add any more calories back to my daily allotment. Why not? Am I not supposed to eat any extra?

I am so unmotivated! I need a workout buddy in the Denver, C
I really need some accountability. If you're a woman in the NW Denver area (around 84th and I-25) and can work out with me, I'd love it. I'm working on C25K now, but am finding I'm not really into it. Right now I'm trying to work out T, W, and Sat. So we could run together, we could weight train, we could do other cardio.…

Yee haw!!! :D
I just reviewed my weight loss goals. Holy crap! My goal was to hit 165 by 8/25/10. I hit that today! Almost two full weeks early! Yes! Now... do I revise my future goals? Hmm...

Rewards!
When I hit certain weight loss goals, I want to be able to reward myself. But rewarding myself with food seems to miss the point and rewarding myself with a purchase (I was thinking new shoes) while I'm trying to get out of debt seems frivolous. Ideas?

Day 1 of C25K and I didn't die!
I usually have to decide days in advance when I'll be working out, tell my accountability partner so I can't back out, and psych myself up for it right before. And then I still usually don't make it to the gym. Today I went spontaneously, did the Week 1, Day 1 workout of Couch to 5K (which I'd tried and failed to do three…

How do I work out for me and not him?
I want to be in shape. I want to be sexy. I want to feel good about myself. Blah, blah, blah. All that is true, but my husband just told me he no longer finds me attractive. He wants me at a ridiculously low BMI (17-18%). I know it'll be nearly impossible to motivate myself to stick with a workout and lose around 25 lbs…

Calories
I'd love to find a place that lists various exercises and how many calories they'd burn. It would be helpful if they're listed in order from most to least calories. Seeing that might motivate me to step it up to the next level. Anyone know of a place that does that? Thanks.

Ow! Help!
I'm entirely too sedative for my own good. I was walking a 2.56 mile path around a lake and afterward the outside of my hip felt really sore. It's on the side, so definitely not my hamstring or any adductor muscle... (See? I'm trying to sound smart.) I did some Google searches and the closest thing I can find to tell you…

Getting started again after a miscarriage.
My husband and I lost the baby with our second pregnancy in March. I had a D&C on April 1. It's over a week later, my body feels like it's pretty much back to normal, but whenever I start working out I have no stamina. I'm actually in physical pain as I work out. I've had to go home after a few minutes each time I've gone…

Doing crunches correctly
How do I do crunches without putting so much tension in my neck?

After a crazy workout, do I still need to eat all my calorie
My average daily caloric allowance is around 1420 but today I worked out like crazy and the computer said I could eat 2566 calories. I've heard it said over and over that we still need to eat our calories to prevent our bodies from going into starvation mode, but I've gotten used to eating smaller portions and healthier…

Hey, ladies! Full figured workout clothes?
Any ladies know where I can get workout clothes, specifically a running bra, for very full figured women? I hate ordering online, but I think I'm going to have to. The only bras I can find are nursing bras and they are oh so condusive to a good workout. (Not!) Thanks, ladies!

Take that, gym! I showed YOU who was boss!
I HATE working out. As a grown woman, I've cried and had emotional breakdowns in gyms. Good times. Well, I haven't seen the scale move yet, but I've been working out since November and am almost to the point where working out feels good and not sucky. I can tell I've got more stamina. Here's the cool part: Thursday night…

Eating healthy on a budget?
I am seriously broke. Like, no joke, I may overdraft my bank account if my baby needs more formula before payday. I'd love to eat more fruits and veggies, fresh meat instead of processed, and whole grains instead of cheap, value-priced breads. What I can afford now is a packet of instant oatmeal for breakfast, maybe a PBJ…
