Anybody still play DDR?
Just dug out 2 foam dance pads from years ago, and re-bought all of my PS2 games to get me back in the game. I'm hoping some of this at home to get more cardio into my life will help! So... anybody still play this?!

Help! Cardio or Weights?
Hey everyone. I figured I'd toss this out there. I have a lower back injury from 2+ years ago, and my muscles are still recovering from a fractured tibia from April 2013. I have found it difficult to try to strengthen my core muscles to aid my sad back, and strengthening my muscles in my right leg after babying it for so…

Best way to log hospital food?
I've been in the hospital since yesterday, and I really don't know how/what to log for what I have been eating. I know this isn't really a priority, but I have NOTHING better to do while I sit here bored out of my mind. Think it's cool to ballpark off of stuff at home or brand names from the store?

Pre and post workout snack/meal ideas please!
Hey everyone. I'm getting bored of the small meals/snacks I eat before my workout, and the typical yogurt or protein shake afterwards. My personal trainer said absolutely protein afterwards to help muscle recovery, but she said that before working out, just make sure it's a healthy meal and not a simple yogurt or protein…

Filling snack ideas needed!
Hey guys. I am on my feet all the time... working anywhere from 8 to 17 hour shifts (sometimes more), barely getting to rest/sit down/sleep, and always on the go. I work 60-80 hour weeks so I don't get much time at home to cook or to eat well, to say the least. I need some snack ideas to help hold me over in between meals…

Need Gym advice after a leg injury!
Hey all! I am almost finished healing from a tibia plateau stress fracture in my right leg. I was supposed to start PT this week, but of course they had no appointments available for me. I leave for vacation this upcoming Friday where I will be gone for 8 days. My current doctor is taking this very slowly. I went for a…

Some Tips for Memorial Day weekend?
Hey everyone! Any good recipe ideas for grilling this weekend that sticks to a lower calorie/higher nutrition value? I can't be active since I fractured my leg so I would like to be able to grill and eat with everyone without picking at salad the whole time! I have the 100% pork ball park hot dogs (which I think are pretty…

Things to do when you have a broken leg... anyone?
2 days home from not working and I am going crazy. I have a TPF so I'm on crutches for now until I get a brace. I can't even walk my dog... so she's with my parents since I can't even care for her appropriately. Any ideas of things I can do to burn off energy that doesn't include my legs? lol By the way... swimming is out…

My positivity has been completely crushed. :(
I posted some things here and there about how I was doing 30DS and felt a little pain in my leg. Went to my doc who did a cortisone injection that did nothing. Went to a specialist last Tuesday who took x-rays and found nothing but my patella being a little bit more slanted than the average woman - still nothing…

Meniscus injury... alternate workouts?
So my previous thread on here from about 2 weeks ago... I hurt myself probably from doing 30DS over 5 days. I went to my PCP and he gave me a cortisone shot, to no avail, along with meloxicam (also to no avail). I went to see a knee specialist this morning, and he has localized the pain and suspects it is a lower meniscus…

I think I injured myself during 30DS.
So I'm only on Level 1... I have a lower back injury, asthma, and glaucoma so as for now, I am on day 5 of level 1 and I am not sure how much further I can go. This morning, while doing jumping jacks, I felt a strain out the lateral/outside portion of my right leg. After I was done, I functioned just fine. I went upstairs…

Safest energy supplements.
Hey all. I work 40-45 hours at one job, 25-30 (sometimes more if I cover a shift) at another, and go to class 2 days a week enrolled in 3/4 time. As you can tell, my life is nuts. Kind of why I joined MFP in the first place... cutting my calories might be the easiest way for me to lose weight if I'm always on my feet and…

3 weeks dieting/exercising and I gained weight. :(
Somebody help. While I don't eat the best, and I have no way to eat 3 square meals a day or eat 5-6 small meals a day... I have tried to cut my calories down to 1200-1500 daily (whereas before I was eating well over 2,000 a day). I try to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I try to hit the gym 3 times a week but with…

This is my last ditch effort!
Hello all. I'm 26, soon to be 27, female, living at the Jersey Shore (literally). I'm a certified veterinary technician in an emergency veterinary hospital, and I work part time in a general practice veterinary hospital. I also go to school part time for Nursing (working on RN/BSN at the same time). I have a dog and 2…
