How to Fry an Egg
I tried googling how to fry an egg, but I came up with a million different methods and I'm not even sure that half of them are what I'm looking for. How do you fry an egg, like one you'd put on top of a burger? Hubby made me one, and it was awesome, but now he's out of town and I have leftover burgers that I want to eat.

_____ wrapped in bacon
I love dried apricots wrapped in bacon. What would you suggest I try out that would be much lower carb? I'm looking for something snacky I can munch on.

Transition to Fully Keto-Adapted?
I was listening to Abel James' latest podcasts and he was interviewing a friend who went full-on keto. The friend mentioned that about 9 days in, he hit a "wall", where he was suddenly weaker & more tired, but it sounds like it wasn't the actual keto flu. Is this a thing that actually happens? Does it make you want to eat…

Temperature Sensitivity?
I've always gotten cold easily, but the last few years, the heat has killed me too (which is bad when you live in a Texas desert - it's already been in the 90s). I seem to be fine in a still room between 70 & 75, but if something starts blowing, I freeze. If it goes above 75, I start feeling tired. If it goes above 85, I…

Immersion Blender Mayo (no drizzle required!)
I'm sure this, or something similar, has popped up here before. http://picketfencepaleo.com/3-minute-mayo/ Mayo, made with an immersion blender, where you don't have to drizzle in the oil. I made mine with half light olive oil and half MCT oil, and it seems thinner so far than the stuff I made last time with straight up…

Cream & Calories
Completely not sure if this is related or not, but when I quit putting 1/4-1/2 cup heavy cream in my coffee in the morning, I also quit being hungry for dinner. I'm using about 3 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp MCT oil in my coffee right now. I haven't been eating much cheese either, so the butter and any butter I use for cooking…

How to Improve Insulin Resistance (MDA)
This might be of interest to many of you: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/25-ways-to-improve-your-insulin-sensitivity/ I don't think I agree with ALL of them, but there are quite a few that may be actionable.

Stress
What do you do when you have the crazy weeks? My life is intentionally pretty low stress, until I do crazy things like volunteer to do a BUNCH of sewing that HAS to be done by Saturday morning and my husband picks THIS week to be sick. I've already succumbed to one carb craving today, plan to have coffee with cream for…

Did You Start Taking Antidepressants?
That's what I was asked at church camp when one of my friends compared me last year, stuck in my little shell & having issues with large crowds and noise and people, to this year.

Somebody kick my butt
So, we went camping. I did mostly alright there, only fell to the siren call of candy bars once. And then we got back home. I haven't felt like fixing anything, so I didn't bring anything for lunch yesterday or today. I ended up eating junk food yesterday, then making pork chops, gravy, and mashed potatoes (because they…

Butterscotch?
Has anybody tried this stuff: http://smile.amazon.com/Frontier-Natural-Products-Butterscotch-2-Ounce/dp/B000WR4PKW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426700049&sr=8-1&keywords=butterscotch+flavor If I add a few drops to cream cheese, would it tasty butterscotchy, or would I still need to add sweetener? I want pudding!

Buckbooks.net has organized a paleo ebook event tomorrow, with a lot of books that have been on my list, like Zenbelly and The Paleo Cure, and one of the Against the Grain books that I bought a month ago... You can register to get an email, or just go to this page tomorrow: http://buckbooks.net/paleo-books/ (15 books total…

Camping & Food
We're going camping later this week (big church camp), and I figured it would be easiest to bring my own food instead of trying to figure out what to eat in a cafeteria-type setting. It'll be a bit chilly out. I'm planning to take my kettle and figure my best options are: 1) Do a fat fast of sorts, surviving mainly on hot…

I'll Call That a WIN!
So, I was just noticing today...I can't grab the double chin anymore. And I hardly ever get heartburn, and I'm getting fewer headaches. Woohoo!

Keeping Lunch (and sometimes dinner) Cold
My freezer packs seem to be woefully inadequate for their duties when combined with my little soft-sided lunch bag. I have a PlanetBox, but even it would be warm by dinner time. What do you use to keep your food cold when you're not near a fridge?

Side Effects - So Tired (4th day)
So, today, I am COMPLETELY wiped. All I want to do is take a nap. My brain is tired, my muscles are a bit sore (no wild workouts - a whole 5 minutes on an elliptical yesterday, but it's mostly my arms that are sore), and it seems like a lot of work to even keep my head up. I don't think I'm low on salt (I add it to pretty…

Keto for Broke People
With a sudden decline in the economy in our neck of the woods (y'all like low gas prices - we don't), my grocery budget is about to get pillaged, burnt, and razed to the ground. Granted, it was probably excessive to begin with, but still. I'm going to be trying to feed 2 adults and 2 part-time kids (ie, stepkids, every…

Caloric Intake/Not Eating Enough
We're doing more of a low-carb version of Primal. That's the best description I can come up with. However, I'm just not getting hungry right now. I've been hovering around 1100 calories the last 2 days, and very little of that is vegetation because it just doesn't sound good. Should I be worried, or is my body just…

Help me with Portion Sizes (Fat bomb)
I want to make a half batch of this: http://wholenaturallife.com/2012/09/17/cinnamon-butter-bites-gaps-friendly/ This is the info for the whole thing: Calories: 3800 Carbs: 40 Fat: 418 Protein: 0 Sugar: 17 So, how big would you make your portions? 1tbsp = 11 g fat, 100 Cal, and 1.25 g carbs, if I did everything correctly.…
