Got my first charm
So having got a pound a day for keeping to my calories and another pound if I exercise, I've now earned my first charm. My OH is getting me a a Thomas Sabo bracelet for Christmas. My first charm is a pig. I love pigs and it symbolises the piggy bank I used. I find the STRIIV app very inaccurate. You can by the new STRIIV…

Think I've had an epiphanie
Think I maybe wrong to worry about walking a few extra steps during the day and getting a Fitbit. I'm within my healthy weight range and not much to lose so probably need to put the emphasis on upping my exercise. So going to look at getting a HRM instead. It's difficult taking advice from people who have a lot to lose as…

Bodymedia fit vs fitbit with HRM
After lots of research, I'm still debating whether to get a Bodymedia fit to measure general activity AND my running/ walking/DVD exercise or use the fitbit for general activity and put on a Polar FT4 for running and exercise DVD. Any comments would be great.

Fitbit negative adjustments are now opt-in
Just saw thus on the Fitbit group, Dear Fitbit users, We've been looking closely at the question of how best to incorporate the calorie data from these devices. While we have further improvements on the way, we're announcing an update today that will let you customize the way your tracker's data affects your daily calorie…

STRIIV app on iPhone and ipad
Are you able to sync your data between the two? I just did steps using my phone but it then seemed to go back to the lower number of steps shown on my ipad.

Newbie 'charmer'
I just read about this idea on another forum and found your group by doing a search. My target for a charm is different- input money in a jar everyday I keep under my caliries and everyday I do my Body Revolution workout. What makes of charms do people buy? Don't want to spend £30 plus per charm like the pandora ones are…

Fitbit/ pedometer/BMR/calculations
Instead of buying a Fitbit I want to manually add the calories burnt from my accelerometer pedometer. I don't think I should add this to my TDEE or my BMR as one will be too many and not enough. Any advice please.

Anybody got STRIIV 'Play' yet?
Wondering how it compares to Fitbit.

Why so hard to lose 10 lbs
I'm towards the top of the healthy BMI range but want to lose about ten pounds. Why is it so hard?? I am constantly losing and then gaining the same pound or so. I've just started running and Jillian Michaels Body Revolution and have read that the water retention by repairing muscles can prevent weight loss but I'm FED UP…

Does anyone wear HRM all day to track activity
I was just reading a post about someone who does and it made me think that this would be better than a Fitbit- especially as calories could be seen on a watch and you don't have rummage around your boobs like I do to see the fitbit reading.

BMR etc
Is it ok to do this:: Manually set my calorie allowance to my BMR minus 225 ( to lose half pound a week). Wore a pedometer all day and added the calories it gave me as exercise. I'll try to eat about half of these.

Striiv and new striiv 'play'
Hi I've seen the new striiv play which is like a fitbit but think I prefer the idea of the original striiv as it sets targets on the device itself. Those if you girls who have this- is it a nuisance to wear. It's always easier for men as they have pockets in their clothes.

Striiv app vs striiv device
What's the difference. Is the device the same as the app but obviously smaller than a phone and better battery life. Can anyone compare this to the fitbit.

My cheap motivation source
Sounds daft but I've got an app called vertical calendar. As the name suggests, it's an agenda type calendar with one line for each day. I putt in my workout ( I'm doing Body Revolution) each day as I've finished it. Today I REALKY couldn't be bothered but did the workout as I didn't want to see a blank line in my…

Just got my fitbit. Got back from walking my dog and that's what it's put into MFP as a adjustment. In MFP I have my activity level set to sedentary as I like the idea of seeing an adjustment. I am 5ft 7 and weigh 150pounds. Could this walk burn so many calories???

Not much to lose/ exercise/weight loss
I only have about 10lbs to lose. I'm 5 ft 7 and weigh 150 lbs. acoording to my scales i am 37% fat). I have read lots of posts about losing weight loss to determine a more accurate BMR than just using the calculators but also read lots of posts about lack of weight loss ( not fat loss) due to exercise due to water…
