New OA private group
I know some of you have stated an interest. I have created a private group and I'm soliciting interest. Any outsiders can only view the group game, but not the content. Anonymity is important to many of you, so please send me a private message if you prefer not to post interest here. Once that occurs, I will send you an…

Any (refined) sugar addicts?
During this time of year, it's difficult to stay on track and focused, so I started a group for like-minded folk to share their experiences, strength and hope (as well as gain support) in their struggles with sugar. If you can relate, please stop by: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/129744-sugar-addicts

Today is day 1 of IF at 20:4
Howdy! I'm starting today with the guidance of my doctor (yep, my Doc recommended IF!) My goal is to reverse my T2 diabetes, and release 37 pounds in the process. Although my Doc recommended 16:8, which I've been doing for almost a month with an 8lb weight release, I feel that 20:4 is doable since I usually feed within a 4…

New Overeaters [Anonymous] Group
A new, Private group has been created to discuss the OA program through the 12 steps and tools of recovery. Because the group is private, the content of discussions is only viewable by those who have been invited into the group. If you are interested, please message me and I will extend an invite. Whole30 2016
It's time to get back to basics, as I've fallen off the wagon, and have been miserable since. I know what I need to do, just have to get off my *kitten* and do it! I couldn't find the Whole30 group from last year, so if there is a newly formed group, please let me know, otherwise, i'll just post here. I plan on starting…

Private Group
I mentioned starting a private group sometime last year, but didn't have much takers. So it's time to revisit. To clarify, this group was set up to supplement OA, not to replace it. Most people prefer to remain anonymous, which is why posting publicly is problematic. I planned on starting a private group, where people can…

Happy Holidays Fellow OAers!

What's for dinner?
Need an idea for tonight. I have to go to the grocer to pick something up to put together. I usually eat the same ole pot roast with cabbage, peppers, or a kelp noodle stir fry. Would like to mix it up tonight, nothing is off limits. Any ideas??

For Today Dec 8th
“Laugh and be well.” – Matthew Green “For today: Bless the comedians and humorists in our midst.” It’s been a while since I posted For Today, and really liked this reading! I truly believe that laughter is the best medicine! I try not to take myself too seriously and I’ve noticed that sometimes when I share in a meeting,…

The Holidays dun dun dun....
Just curious to know how you all are planning on staying abstinent and binge free during this time of year? For me, it'll be more meetings, and being more active in the program, but I know they'll be times when it gets really tough, so my Higher Power (HP) will have to be busier than usual :)

Check in
How is everyone doing? I’ve been thinking really hard about the upcoming holidays and as we are fast approaching, I am feeling a bit apprehensive about remaining abstinent, as I do every year. If I’m able to abstain from binging on forbidden foods, this would be my first holiday season. I plan on remaining close to…

For today Oct 8th
“The man who acts the least, upbraids the most.” – Homer “For today: I pray to be less critical and more helpful toward others, especially children.” Had to share the For Today reading because it speaks on courage and self-confidence. It reminds us that the words we put out, mainly to children, shapes who they become as…

One Day at a Time
Lets make a pledge to abstain from compulsively overeating (or binging/purging) for the next 24 hours. We can do this one day at a time!

For today Sep 18th
“No passion so effectively robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear.” – Edmund Burke “For today: The courage to reach past my fear is within me, but in this Fellowship, I do not have to make the trip alone.” I really needed to hear this today. Early on Fear (False Evidence Appearing Real) was a major…

Having one of those days - arghh!
Monday stress at work where I want to slap somebody, or eat a box of (insert trigger food here)!! I will remain abstinent and won’t eat over it. I can’t make it to a meeting, so I’ll tune into a podcast. I hope everyone is having a better day than me!

Food Allergies :-(
I've discovered that I have an allergy towards eggs, chicken, tomato, and avocado by way of elimination and a couple of these foods have been my staple on Primal B. My symptoms have become stronger after slowly adding them back to confirm. Have any of you taken a medical allergy test to confirm, or just listen to your…

For Today Sept 2nd
"Noble be man, Helpful and good! For that alone sets him apart from every other creature on earth." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “For today: I am an instrument of my Higher Power. I carry the message, but I do not interfere with it.” I love this reading, as it reminds us of our purpose in the program. When reaching out to…

As anyone here?
I noticed that it's been quiet lately. Just checking in to see how everyone is doing? Have a great, abstinent day!

For today Aug 12th
“A theorist without practice is a tree without fruit; and a devotee without learning is a house without an entrance.” – Sa’di “For today: It has been said that no one is too “dumb” to work the twelve-step program, but there are some who are too smart. I pray to God to keep me from being too smart.” Love this ^^ It’s all…
