Decided to resurrect the group, as I am working on step 1 to put my abstinence out there into the universe! https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/101992-overeaters-anonymous

It's been a long while, but today I claim my seat in the OA room!
-
Day 1 was a bit rough, but I made it through!
-
Checking in today, haven't been doing so well. I had the flu, but not trying to make excuses. Today I will do better. Still at 171lbs, but no gain, which is great. Sugar has been lowered, but exercise has been dormant. I'm putting out in the universe that today will be a better one~

Oops, I haven't been checking in, but better a late start, than never! My daily commitment for this month is to: - Eat Low Carb/low Sugar - Check my blood sugar daily - Exercise at least 3x per week - Drink 64oz water at a minimum - Log my food This is a lot, but I know that I need to be vigilant in order to reach my goal!…

I usually do a monthly check in and will start that back up, it's been long overdue for me to focus on my health again!
-
I just tune into my Christian rock station through itunes radio when I'm working out, and it definitely keeps me motivated. Now that we're experiencing winter weather, I'm finding it tough to stay motivated.

https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/129744-sugar-addicts I'm recommitting, please join me!

End of week result 171.8, so I lost a little this week, but not sure if it’s enough to get me into the 160s by the end of next week, but here’s to hoping!
-
End of week result SW: 174.8 CW: 172.2 GW: 168 by end of August So I didn't gain, but I know exactly why my progress is slow, as I haven't been 100% keto. I aim for a better result by next Friday.
-
I'm starting a week late, but better late than never. My goals for the remainder of the month is to: - Eat Keto - Fast a minimum of 16hrs per day - Drink enough water to stay hydrated - Engage in prayer and meditation daily My stats: SW: 174.8 CW: 172.4 GW: 168 by end of July
-
Forgot to weigh-in today, but plan on doing it tomorrow. I'm in damage control after my Vegas trip this week, so I don't expect to lose, but I'm hoping to at least remain the same. So we'll see...
-
I've been on Keto before, but doing mostly Carnivore at the moment.
-
My stats: SW: 174.8 CW: 174.8 GW: 169 by end of July
-
@NotAsThick, great plan! I will start a July check in.

Hi Jason, it may be a challenge finding a male sponsor in OA, which is why you may see males with female sponsor. I think as long as what that person has that you want, you will find a match.

I think it depends on your lifestyle goals. When you do a Whole30, in part it's restrictive to eliminate a lot of the junk from your body. Also, dairy causes inflammation and some folks are affected more than others. I typically follow Primal Blueprint and consume heavy cream, which has a lower insulin response than milk.…

I can open it back up, but can't make any promises that it'll be more active than this forum. Here is the link to follow: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/101992-overeaters-anonymous

My goals for this month is to: - Eat low carb - Step a minimum of 5k steps a day - Fast a minimum of 18hrs per day - Drink enough water to stay hydrated - Engage in prayer and meditation daily

I was thinking of resurrecting this private group, if there is still an interest, vs. posting publicly. If so, please let me know. Thanks!

Checking in to claim my seat in Program. I've been on and off, but re-booting my food plan and working the steps to remain abstinent, by the grace of my HP, of course. Wishing everyone out there a great, abstinent Day!
-
I haven't been good at checking in, but I plan on re-booting tomorrow, on Memorial day. It's a great day to be on point and on track!
-
The group isn't active, but I do check in periodically. It's great that you've identified what triggers you. but you may want to also address what resulted in your "diastrous eating." This can be accomplished through working the steps.
-
Checking in to claim my abstinence, just for today, for the next 24 hours. I won't be checking in as often, as this forum appears to be inactive. Wishing you all a great recovery and program experience. Please reach out to me personally (IM) if you're looking to connect with a fellow OAer, otherwise, I won't be spending…

We have room for many more! Come and join us: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/129744-sugar-addicts[/quote]

I am also aiming to lose 1lb per week, but I really need to step it up with the exercise. Today, I'm hanging out in bed, just got back home from work travel, so being home feels great!
-
Yes, please join me! It looks like you have a great plan!!
-
This group used to be super active, but it looks like folks have moved on. I’ve been eating VLC, or LCHF mostly primal, but some days I’m at keto level. I fast (or at least try to) for 20 hrs, with a 4 hour eating window. Glad to see some activity on here!
-
Yes, definitely!
-
Got through successfully and moved to Keto and IF to continue on my health journey. Being fat adapted has been helpful in keeping me on point!
