strange effect

an update-tryin to run and giving up booze
so i've been managing to get up early, still not running, but baby steps people :) plus soda of any kind is now banished from my diet which is good. tomorrow i'm going tee total. no weight loss, but an inch has gone!
I'm quite proud of this, my weight is the same, well i lost 1/4 pound, but my chest, neck and waist have each gone down an inch. no change on thighs or arms but whatever I'm happy :)

random question for the ladies
I've been talking to my females friends and found that many dont like the 6 pack over muscular approach. I'm single so the work I'm doing is for me, but I'm aiming on dropping my body fat to 10-15% and build the muscle. My question is, and i understand its a broad one, but what do you consider an attractive body?

swimming success
i managed 3 widths of my local pool today back to back. to put that into perspective i really can't swim at all so this is awesome for me :)

starting P90x
wish me luck it looks intense but worth it In a eating related matter im trying to build mass and making sure that i eat keep my protein intake high, is too much protein as bad as too much fat/carbs? I ask because i don't want to end up shooting myself in the foot

plus i pushed myself on the cross trainer and hit 7km even with 3 days less then perfect due to illness :)

9lbs lost :) i'm expecting the weight loss to slow down, or even stop once i start weights properly but so far i'm really proud of myself

trying to lose weight and gain muscle
At the moment i'm focusing on the weight loss more then the muscle build. Just looking for advice really I'm focusing on weight loss through cardio and diet, trying to lay of the weights for now. Is this the best option, any ideas, advice gladly accepted :)
