I hurt my back last Wed and have not worked out since then. I've been on some heavy meds to help with the pain. The scale is starting to creep up and I'm freaking out. What do you do when you start to see a gain??

I think its important to preface any advice we give with "what works for me is..." Too many people on this site become experts too fast. TAEBO
I can not rave enough about taebo. I am only able to do the class one night a week but it is by far the best workout I get! It's not easy and I feel like I am going to die but it so worth it! I am not disciplined enough to do it on my own but I highly recommend you give it a try!

I don't believe in food rewards or cheat days where you just pigout BUT I have decided today to just enjoy the day with my son and to try not to obsess about food. I may have some ice cream, I may not. I may go over my 1300 calories, I may not. EITHER WAY ITS OK.

I just tried the ElPaso tortilla stuffers. They come in a pouch and microwave in 60 seconds. I had the garlic chicken and it was good; the chicken is mixed with rice an beans. 1/3 cup has 80 calories. I made a burrito using 100 calorie flat bread. Added some guac and salsa and it was under 220 calories.

OK, we are having take out tonight. I know for sure I will have Hot and Soup (with tofu no pork) but not sure what else to have. I usually have szechuan or garlic shrimp. I just watched last night's Biggest Loser episode. As I sit and watch all I can think is how most of the girls look smaller at me. I started at 195 and now weigh in at 165. Still the girls in the 170's and 180's look smaller to me. I just can't wrap my head around my true body image!

After completing my diary I notice that MFP tells me "If you ate like this everyday you would weigh X in 5 weeks". For me this number flucuates +/_ 3lbs. How do they calculate this number and is excercise a factor?
