Ready to finally do this...
Howdy! I've been on MFP for a couple months but just now getting into this whole posting thing. I have refused to be on any diets for the past 8 years. My weight had been steady but admittedly morbidly obese. In the last 2 years I lost control and found my self closing in on 400 lbs. I have never been open about my weight…

Extra long year...
I have had such a hard year with homeschooling. In Oct. I had a hysterectomy. At Christmas my mothers companion, who was like a granfather to my children passed away. In January we came down with the stomach bug that wouldn't leave. In Febuary my oldest tried to break his arm wrestling with a cousin and was in a cast and…

For those who weigh their food
I was wondering how many ounces you eat in a typical meal? I have been dieting since March, I am feeling full sooner all the time. I am curious as to how much it take for other people to feel satisfied.

Hello TWODERVILLE!!!!!
This morning I stepped onto the scale with an anticipation that I haven't had in years. I knew I was close but didn't expect it quite so fast. I can finally say that I no longer weigh 300 lbs!! It has been over 9 years since I weighed under 300. I am so excited!!!!

Twoderville or Twoterville... I need to know!
I am getting ready to enter into this new land. Before I get there I would really like to know what you feel the name of this "village" is. I have heard it referred to as both Twoderville and Twoterville. So, where am I going?

Boca VS. Morning Star veggie burger
I recently tried my first veggie burger (MorningStar garden). I was quite surprised that I liked it as much as I did. So here is my question... Which do you like better Boca Burgers or Morning Star Farms? I can purchase a case of Boca's at a warehouse but don't want to waste my money if they arn't as good.

What was your REGULAR worst meal
OK, so for fun I decided to look up one of my old fav's and count up the calories in it. No wonder I weigh so much! Here it is... Philly steak pizza with triple cheese (including blue cheese on top!) My hubby and I would split it! 2800 calories each! The good news is we have lost 100 lbs between us so far this year! Still…

Calling all dips!
Hi! I am attending a ladies function this next week and we are suppose to bring a dip, and something dippable to share. It can be savory or sweet. They all know I am on a diet so I want to show them that I still eat food that tastes great. Any suggestions for either?

Homemade eggbeaters... are they any good?
I have fallen in love with eggbeaters. My food budget is pretty tight (just like a lot of people) and I found a recipe for "Homemade Egg beaters". My questions is if any of you have your own recipe and how does it compare? I can't stand food that tastes like diet food. So please be honest. I would rather spend the extra on…

Summer eating habit- need suggestions!
OK, I hate to eat when I am hot. In years past I would spend my day chewing ice and eating popsicles. At the end of the day once it cooled down I would PIG out! Well, I am changing my lifestyle and that includes summer. Here is the problem: I still hate to eat when it's hot. Suggestions please.

When to change my activity level
I currently have my activity level set at sedentary. As of the first of this month I have started working out. 30-40 minutes 3 days a week, weight lifting, walking, and steps. Plus I am doing the Hundred push- up challenge. I am a stay-at-home mom and so I am still not as active as a person working a job. So, any…

My first NSV!!!!
I went shopping today for summer clothes for my kids. We went to K-mart. I was standing there just waiting for them to try on their outfits when I saw a new rack of pajamas. I haven't bought anything from a regular store in years. But I thought, why not give a pair a try. I figured I would know how close I was. Well...…

Calculating Marinated Foods
I was wondring how to handle the calorie count on meat that I marinate. Example: If I make chicken and marinate it over night in a dressing, do I count all of the dressing in my calculations? Or do I guesstimate how much really goes onto the meat when it is cooked? Any tips?

First Day of Exercise
Today was the first time in YEARS that I officially exercised. It had been my intention to wait til I had lost 50lbs. However, I decided that if I could do it today with temps in the 90's then I wouldn't have much of an excuse the rest of the summer! It kind of made this whole weight loss thing feel more real, if that…
