For those who weigh their food

I was wondering how many ounces you eat in a typical meal? I have been dieting since March, I am feeling full sooner all the time. I am curious as to how much it take for other people to feel satisfied.

i eat an embarrassingly large amount of food per meal. haha... like 12-16oz of meat for dinner and about 10+oz of broccoli and cauliflower (6oz broccoli, 3.5oz cauliflower). 4oz of lunch meat on sandwiches... 4 servings of oatmeal... plus everything else i eat. sounds piggish but i still come in under all the time...0

It depends on what I'm eating. I usually eat about half a cup of carbs (couscous & rice), 56g of pasta, 3 ounces of potatoes, 3 ounces of meat, 1/3 of a cup of steamed veggies and lots of water.0

I probably eat 12 to 15 oz of food 4 times a day. It just depends on the food and the caloric value. I always feel satisfied after meals and rarely get hungry, but I do have cravings. Who doesn't though, right!0

so generally about 4 oz of meat, 4oz quinoa (or a carb such as potatoes or pasta) and as many fresh veggies as you would like without butter or added salt or modifications. I would say I usually eat about 3-4 oz of veggies at dinner.0

tough question because we are all so different....but for me:
meats/proteins - around 6 ounces is enough to feel satisfied and get enough protein
veggies - 100-200 grams
rice/potatoe - picture a cup of those.
best of luck on your journey!0 -
depends on what i'm eating as to what i weigh.
i don't weigh an entire meal... i read labels/nutritional info and eat whatever the serving size is or slightly more.
take breakfast for instance... a serving of cereal is usually 3/4 to 1 cup and they include the weight in grams
so i will weigh the cereal.
If I'm making a salad, a serving of the carrots I buy is 85grams. I use maybe 2-4 leaves of lettuce (head of iceburg)
and weigh out my other veggies (cukes, peppers), chicken (about 4oz.), and 1 or 2 hard boiled eggs, if i add them.
I always weigh chicken, beef & fish (4oz).
If I have a burger 1 burger is a serving. (cooked on my GF grill so most fat drains off).0 -
Not sure total volume but I eat about 17-20 oz (475-480g) worth of macro nutrients per day. I assume a lot of the rest is vitamins, minerals and water.0
