Homemade eggbeaters... are they any good?

I have fallen in love with eggbeaters. My food budget is pretty tight (just like a lot of people) and I found a recipe for "Homemade Egg beaters". My questions is if any of you have your own recipe and how does it compare? I can't stand food that tastes like diet food. So please be honest. I would rather spend the extra on the pre-made stuff than to waste money on a nasty substitute. Thanks.

I googled the recipe and it sounds like it would be good, have not tried it tho. What is the calorie count on the homemade?

If it's with powdered milk it's 30 for .25 cup. If it's 2 whites and 1 yolk then it's over 100.0
