Recommitting
Been a longtime MFP member. Had lots of success many times, but always fall off. I need to figure out a way to make this a lifestyle, not a DIET. Looking for friends so we can help each other. Feel free to add me.

Joining Again
Had a lot of success with MFP back 5 years ago, but then I let life creep back in. I've tried to start a few times over the last few years but can't seem to stick with anything. I am back again and hoping if I am accountable to myself and others I will have success again. I'm getting older and my health is declining due to…

Healthy Wage
Hi, everyone. Just began for the millionth time. Was wondering if anyone has used Healthy Wage as an incentive to stay motivated? Just popped up on facebook for me today, so I am now curious.

coming back to MFP after a long break
I am so discouraged and upset with myself, so I am coming back here to try to make the changes necessary to make myself healthy once and for all. I'm not expecting a miracle, just looking for support and encouragement to help me stay motivated and make this a lifelong journey. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying…

Calories
I've been with MFP before and lost 70 pounds on 1200 calories, but I had a hard time sticking to that calorie amount. I'm restarting again and am so confused on where to be in calories. I don't get much exercise at the moment and my blood sugars have been out of control, that I want to do this the right way this time to…

50 year old needing motivation and friends
Hi, all. I've been on MFP before and had success, only to fall off the wagon hard. I'm turning 50 in a month, and I looked at myself and realized I need to make permanent changes this time so I can enjoy life. Far too many years letting weight hold me back. So I'm on the hunt for friends for motivation and accountability.

Back at it again
Definitely not new to MFP, and trying not to be ashamed of having to start over once again, but I'm here, and that's what the positive in all this. Looking for friends and supporters to help this almost 50 year old succeed for good this time.

Striggling
A year and a half ago I was 70 pounds lighter and was doing 6 mile walks in less than two hours and 45 min strength training. Today I could barely do 15 walk aerobics. I'm so upset. This starting over is torture. I didn't think it would be this bad. How long do you think it will be until I get some stamina back?

calories
MFP has me at 1200 calories. When I followed it two years ago, I did lose quickly, but I think it may have been too low for me. What is everyone's calorie intake? I know it's personal, but I think 1200 is really low. Thoughts?

Onederland
So excited, yesterday I hit under 200 pounds. It's been ten years since I've seen a 1 in front of my weight. It was a goal I was hoping to obtain by November, so ahead of schedule and so happy!

First 3 month A1C results
I am so happy beyond belief! I was diagnosed in March with diabetes. I had an A1C of 7.3. Just got my first three month test results and it is down to 5.9. Great news to start the weekend.

discrepancy between MFP and fitbit
I did 47 minutes of zumba at home last night. I worked up a sweat and was out of breath, but pushed through the workout. MFP said I burned 691 calories and my Fitbit said I burned 292. That's a big discrepancy. I am not sure if the Fitbit picks up all movement or just leg movements. I'm so confused and want to know which…

kettlebells
Anyone have any idea what I would take my kettlebell workout as for fitness? There isn't a category that I can find that fits that, unless I'm missing it somewhere.

MFP calories vs. nutritionist's calories
I am so confused on this subject and any help is appreciated. MFP has my calories at 1200 and my nutritionist set my calories to 1600. I've been doing the 1200 plus exericse calories because I track on my phone and that's what MFP has me at. But now, I am afraid from what I have been reading, that I can actually stall my…

diabetes
I was just diagnosed this week with diabetes. My doctor said to continue on the path I am on right now and it can be controlled by my diet and exercise. It is not extremely high, but nonetheless, it's still "diabetes". My question is, I am so confused by the amount of carbohydrates that a diabetic should consume. I…

daily calorie goal
Here is my dilemma. I've been on MFP for 4 weeks now. I've been doing good sticking within the calories MFP set for me. Here comes my problem. I have also been seeing a nutritionist and did metabolic testing to see where I actually am for calories. The nutritionist came back with about 400 calories more per day that I can…

strength training
I do strength training at a fast pace and straight though the reps. Is that considered circuit training for calories burned or just strength training? Any input is appreciated.

Help - gained alot
It's been three weeks since I have been binging. I have been exercising, but not as much as I was and not as intense, but still moving. I got on the scale after three weeks and it says I gained 19 pounds. I did start a new medication and did eat quite a bit, but that seems unrealistic. I am just so upset right now and…
