Where are you in the program? What else do you do?
I'm still in stage 1, I haven't been able to get in as many workouts per week as I want with everything else I have going on and had to take a break from the weight room last week. I'm a part time aerobics instructor (Les Mills BodyStep and BodyPump), which some times gets in the way of my NR progress (last week I had to…

olympic bar versus smith machine
I lift without a spotter most of the time, and my gym doesn't have a squat rack, but they do have a smith. So, for my squats when I don't have a spotter I use the smith and when I do I rack on one of the machines (the name is evading me right now, it's the one that you can do hanging reverse crunches, dips, and it usually…

is there a stretch for that?
So I have what the hubs and I have affectionately deemed the baby shoulder. My son is 2 and I hip carry him on the left, the consequence is that my left shoulder is a field of knots, especially in the front. I wouldn't much cafre but it hinders me in pushing any exercise that work the shoulder directly(shoulder press) or…

Started the group, let me know if you want to mod
I wasn't going to do it because I've been a mod on another chat site and it can be a pain, but I figured this was a topic with little controversy. Let me know if you want to help out!

what's on your walls
I was just looking around my cube and what do I see? Pictures of my 2 yo, no (although he is my mouse pad), the hubs? no, my to do list? no. pinned on the wall to my left is an article about increasing oxygen saturation and to my right is the group fit schedule at my club. So, what's on your walls?

Macros?
That's it, curious about where you have your macros set and why. Guess I should give mine. 40/40/20 because I wanted just over 1 g of protein per pound (I'm 123 - 127 and this gives me 140), and I wanted my carbs high enough to allow for ice cream and fruit and not just ice cream.

What to do with a packet of chicken breasts
Getting bored, give me ideas. My general go-to's are fajitas, tacos, dry rubbed and grilled or baked.

How do I find a female friendly boxing gym?
Not a pansy boxing gym, just one that I would feel relatively comfortable walking into? I've never boxed a day in my life. Is it expensive?

What do you think of this in brownies (warning not healthy)
So my brownie recipe calls for adding chocolate chips. I usually use a mixture of 2 chocolates. Last weekend I had a chili chocolate, you couldn't taste the chilis it just sort of gave you something spicey to think about on the back of your throat. Fast forward, I have a dinner party tomorrow and for dessert I'm making…

Question to other group fit instructors
I'm a Les Mills BodyStep and BodyPump instructor. I'm in week 3 or 4 of nrolfw and I'm trying to find a good pump and lifting schedule. Pump is endurance lifting, nrol is definitely not. I only teach one Pump class per week (Wednesday's) and I thought when I started nrol that would be enough, but I'm finding that I need to…

skin fold calipers
I was looking at amazon for calipers. I've decided that since I'm so dependent on bf% to monitor my health as opposed to the scale I really need to buy a set instead of begging the pt at my gym to give me a free reading every couple of months. In particular, the hubs and I got into a discussion about my look this weekend,…

what to do with muscles
So now that I'm starting to get some, what do I do with them (other than get more). It's not like I'm going to walk around all day showing people the way to the beach, so while I may do a cheesy pose now and again for mfp, what do I do with these bad boys?

Creepy guy in the weight room advice
My lifting partner and I just started lifting together last week. I've been lifting with my trainer for 3 months on and off on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Partner (another woman) and I had to go in yesterday instead of T & T this week because of scheduling stuff. After lifting we went upstairs for my step class that I teach…

a rooster flying into the hen house
Hello! I'm a team captain in flying the world game and we've had one person drop out (boo)! We're down to 6 women, we need one more person and I thought it would be nice to have a rooster in our hen house. Either post here or pm me if you're interested.

food and gas
We all has it, none of us wants it. The healthier I eat, it seems that the stinkier my house it. This week the culprits are beans and broccoli. 2 nights ago the hubs said that he thought it was the dogs, but he took them out and came back in the bedroom and the smell lingered so he figured out I had been sleep farting. For…

weight loss, work out, plastic surgery
I was talking to a girlfriend this morning who has an amazing weight loss story. She lost her weight using WW and exercising 3 hours a day. The weight's been gone for 2 years and some of her frustrations came up in our discussions this morning that I just couldn't answer: 1) 2 different surgeons told her that she now has…
