what's on your walls

I was just looking around my cube and what do I see? Pictures of my 2 yo, no (although he is my mouse pad), the hubs? no, my to do list? no. pinned on the wall to my left is an article about increasing oxygen saturation and to my right is the group fit schedule at my club.

So, what's on your walls?

UMM.. I look around me a see compression therapy stockings and posters, rollators and walkers and power chairs advertisment, four HUGE windows and a really pretty picture of a lake it's a HUGE oil painting and behind me is a wall of STUFF, walkers, canes, crutches, gel pads, walker accessories, and etc.. on and on my desk there is an like the privacy thing it come up about a foot over the top of my desk and and a shelf on the top so under there i have some pictures my little cousins drew for me.

i used to have pictures up but took those down!

now i have my insanity workout schedule, my old p90x schedule, some codes i use for work, a coworker b-day list, a friendship plaque thing that was a gift.

oh and a picture of me and my bff looking like hookers at the Lady Gaga concert! :bigsmile: everybody here thinks i'm a good girl (which I am) but i needed them to see another side of me. many people will stop and look at that picture! haha

I'm in an office, but I have pictures of my husband and children on one shelf behind me. I work at a Catholic school, so I have a crucifix on one wall and an abstact piece of art on another.

to the left, all my neatly color coded UPS Mad, Rate Sheets, Unit Sheets, 2 thank you cards from customers, in front of me my "weight loss elephant" my hubby got me for losing 30lbs, and to the right a 3 year old picture of my niece with the Easter bunny .. all work, no play for me

but i also have 4 water battles, a coffee cup, diet snapple, bag of cauliflower and an apple ON my desk

I've got a TON of pics of my 2 year old, a few of the hubsters, a couple of my dog, and one of Hugh Jackman that my co-worker took when he saw him at the Philadelphia Union game! Yay for cool co-workers!!!

I didn't get to put anything on the walls of the office I work in, but I have a gorgeous 5 foot-wide oil painting of Catalina on one wall and a big print of a pretty ocean scene on another wall. I would love to be able to have pictures of my family, but at least the owner's wife has good taste!

A picture of my dog, a couple of certificates, lots of motivational/positive vibe-type posters/pictures, clock, some mardigras beads, flower push pins, a picture of my nephew and his new wife, a picture of the Englishtown Ferry (I used to live right next to it), and vines from one of my plants...

I really do LOVE my cubicle!!! It's so MEEEE!

Ohhh…. Found something not work related, a little article about some frozen yogurt place in the Financial District of Toronto where I am that contains protiotics and a bunch of healthy low-fat stuff. Haven’t gone there yet, hmmmm

OH, I have a lot going on.. i have black and white polka dot wrapping paper that I cut in squares to cover my drawer fronts. They are held on with pink magnets. My cabinets have the same wrapping paper cut into a border and i taped it on there with a pink magnetic mirror. I took more of the wrapping paper and cut it into sections and put it on my walls and pinned it up with push pins. I have a pic of my two kiddos, a picture of my hubby and I when we started dating, I have a black and white flower calendar, I have two hooks to hang my jacket and my purse... I also have polka dot flower shaped coasters made of foam that I pinned up as a border around my cubicle... LOL like I said, a lot going on.. but its purdddy

I have a huge Calendar with a picture of when I was younger and slim.
On the other wall a bulleting board with My Daily food plan, healthy posters, etc.
I'm in charge of benefits for staff here, and I have to lead by example
On my desk, pictures of my kids, co-workers, nieces and nephews and quotes of inspiration

On the side wall is a bulletin board with a picture my granddaughter made for me and another picture my grandson made for me, a calendar and an "I'm At Lunch" sign I made because I eat lunch at my desk. Also on the side wall there's a coat hanger that has three hooks that the maintenance man put up so I could hang my coat up.

On the back wall is another bulletin board with a little souvenir mask someone had brought back from New Orleans for me, a 10 Commandments plaque, a One Million Dollar bill Bible tract, a birthday card my son made for me for my birthday last year, A magnet from Puerta Vallarta someone brought back as a souvenir and a couple miscellaneous sheets of paper.

I want to work where you do! We're not allowed to have much more than one personal photo on our desk and everything else has to be business related

Let's see, here in the Man Cave I have a poster of a VW microbus my daughter gave me, a poster of a VW beetle (old one), a letter from the Bishop of Portsmouth that says it was ok for this Canadian to marry an Englishwoman, a picture of the Englishwoman (my lovely wife), a framed selection of pictures taken at the Isle of Wight Festival of 1970 (The Who, Free, and Jimi Hendrix), a Toronto Maple Leafs thingy, a poster of a Harley Davidson Fat Boy my niece gave me, a Rubber Soul LP cover, and hanging from the curtain rail is a Maple Leafs sweater (circa 1975), and two Toronto Blue Jays jerseys, one from when they first entered the AL and a second generation away jersey in grey.

This isn't home, I leave my cube every chance I get... I can be bothered to decorate it since I don't like it lol

In front of me is this weeks agenda, extension numbers, BOS names, ect ect (BORING) and to the right of me is art work my 3 year old made in preschool and some pictures of me and him. There are no pictures behind me bcuz its cupboards.

I've got photos of my kids and hubby, my kids' drawings, 2 paintings done by a good friend of mine in college (who just happens to be a great painter), and on my bulletin board -- magnets both inspirational and sarcastic, "Pearls Before Swine" comic strips, a calendar, some Elvis stickers, a Marilyn Monroe dress-up doll magnet with magnetic outfits to swap, a picture of Jeff Bridges (mmmmm, Jeff Bridges), and a photo of Oliver Sacks (he's the real-life neurosurgeon who inspired the movie "Awakenings" with Robin Williams playing him) who is a hero of mine.

I have strangeness on my walls, since well I am strange.....there are numerous pics of flowers in all stages of decay...a Victoria Frances calendar, our telephone speed dial list framed in bats, and a clock....I really hate that clock.....

Then on my desk I have a lamp, (there are florescent lights, but I unhooked mine, those things are horrid), a sign that reads "Beware", a black rose (that one of my bosses gave me, gotta love her♥), a plant, and numerous office stuff like staplers, tape, phone, blah blah.....

I don't have anything fun or personal here at work. Oh wait, I do have a Dilbert strip taped on my desk.

I work as an admin assistant at an engineering firm, which makes Dilbert hilarious, when I used to just not get it. :laugh:
