Can I go to the gym?
I've recently (last Monday) had a toe operation, and have been advised against gym running or vigourious exercise or using gym communal shower by the podiatry nurse. Thing is, can I still use the bike or walk on their treadmill do you think? I can't get through to the podiatry team at the moment and I'll only be able to…

Christmas Day is going to be a diet free zone
OnlyChristmas day mind you But to be fair Turkey, roast tatties (in trex), boiled veggies and a couple of trimmings aren't going too overboard. Christmas pudding I avoid anyway as I don't like it, and favour a cheesecake or something similar instead. I've got about 9 people coming over so I'll be stuffed if I can be…

How do explain...
How do I explain to my MiL that the diet she's following (slimming world) is very different to the diets I'm following (WW and MFP)? For instance yesterday she cooked us all a wonderful meal and dessert, even a dessert especially for me and her, but it was 13pps or 817 calories in total! But for her was just 3 of her 15…

Hi, I've got a fairly minor operation due (full removal of toenail - big toe), and the nurse has told me to start with I'd have a comedy bandage then I'd have a normal but still fairly large bandage and closed shoes or trainers were out of the question it'd have to be slippers or sandals until healing is complete. Thing is…

A reason to celebrate?
I think so ???? A couple months ago I was a UK size 20, going on 22, a few weeks back I fitted a size 18. Today I tried on and could comfortably do up, albeit with a bit of a muffin top, a size 16! It's coming off!!!! ???? My goal seems ever closer

Am I now on 3 diet plans simultaneously?
I knew I was already on two: MFP and WW, but my new Fitbit came this morning, I've set it all up and set the goals on the calorie counter. This gives me a deficit of 750 cals a day, which is lower than MFP Have I just gone and joined another diet plan inadvertently? I don't mind but 3 at once goodness me lol

Omg! The best thing I've tasted in a while now
Crunchy peanut butter on a rich tea biscuit Mmmmmmmmmmm Peanut butter due its terrifically high calorie content has been (self imposed) banned by my diet since I started so for the first time in 5 weeks I gave in and crumbled a little

Dis it possible for someone like me to learn how to swim?
For a start I'm 41yrs, secondly I had my head held under water by my elder sister as a child and as a result have an immense fear of the water I've been trying adult swimming lessons at my local pool, but still the stigma of getting in the water is there and holds me back, I'm stiff and rigid as a board once in the water…

Fitbit or jawbone up?
Which is better? Which would you recommend? Why? I'm after getting a decent pedometer as I do a lot of walking.
