Cardio before lifting?
Whenever I Google 'should I do cardio before or after lifting,' nearly every source says to do it after. I always do it before--nothing major, just walking on the treadmill for 20-60 minutes. I don't need to lose weight, I'm a newbie (2.5 months in) and just doing recomp at least right now...I'm 5'1 and 109 lbs. I'm just…

Need help with my saggy butt.
I am 20 years old, 5'3" and 109 pounds and I work out (strength training of all kinds--kettle bells, free weights, glute trainer, 15+ different strength machines, bodyweight exercises, medicine balls) 3 days a week. Being so young and so active, my butt should NOT look like it does! It is my worst feature! I've tried…

I'm afraid of being stronger than men.
I'm female obviously. I recently started strength training after making tons of excuses not to haha. Guess what? I love it!!! LOVE it! It feels great and I'm looking great, and I love the whole lifestyle! However, I do have this nagging fear of like, being stronger than men. Wouldn't that severely limit my dating pool?…

About how many calories do you think this workout burned?
Mostly strength and circuit training as you can see. The whole thing took about an hour. I'm 22, 5'1 and 109 pounds. Reps x sets Abductor (the opening and closing thighs machine) - 70 lbs 8 x 3 Arm curl - 5 lbs 5 x 3 Total abdominal (ab curl machine) - 40 lbs 5 x 3 Low row - 50 lbs 5 x 3 Shoulder press - 10 lbs 5 x 1 Chest…

If lifting is the way to get that 'toned' look, then why...?
I keep reading that the only way to get that sought-after 'lean, tight, toned' look is in fact to lift heavy and that muscles cannot be 'toned' or 'tightened,' they can only get bigger. But if this is true, then why do the women who lift that I know have bulging arm muscles, big thighs (muscular, but still), big butts,…

Reached 'UGW' but not satisfied; more to the story?
Hi, First of all, this is my first login in years. :/ So ignore my food diary and all of that. I just thought this would be a good place to come to with this problem. I am 5'1". I started out at 138 pounds (years ago!) and now I am 105 pounds after slow, healthy weight loss to get to this point. This was supposed to be my…

I'm genuinely hungry for 3000ish calories/day?
I'm 20, female, 5'1 and currently 127 (UGH) pounds. I eat healthy foods, mostly fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and occasionally a GMO free oat based bread. However, I seem to be genuinely hungry--as in, I get hunger pains, I get lightheaded, I shake--for well over 2000 calories. It's not emotional eating, I really don't…

Net calories
I just don't know if I can really get myself to believe in net calories. Basically what the claim here is is that if I were to eat 3500 calories/day and burn 3000 at the gym (not even that hard, I can burn 1000 in 2 hours) I would eventually end up emaciated? I just can't picture myself actually losing weight on 2000+…

New here - Natural set point hell.
I am 20 y/o, 5'1 and 104 lbs right now, looking to be 101 lbs of mostly muscle. This is supposedly within the 'healthy' weight range but I have a huge issue with natural set point. Whenever I go below 110 lbs, I lose my period! At 5'1"!!! In the past, I didn't get to 109 by starving, I ate 1800-2000 (yep, seriously) and…
