Any other really tall women out there?
I'm 5'11'' so my weight is bigger, my calorie intake is bigger...everything is just...bigger aha. My goal weight is higher than many people's midway and that can be discouraging from a mental standpoint. How much I weigh is a HUGE number and it's partially because I'm taller...Anyone out there feel like I do?

The Society's Traitor
Now, I don't read young adult or teen novels all the time. I do find that sometimes I enjoy them because they are quick reads, and you can let your mind take a break between heavier novels. Two of my favorite series geared at this younger demographic are Artemis Fowl and Percy Jackson. Both fantasy, with younger…

First real NSV-my mom can hug me again.
I'm not one to toot my own horn usually, outside of my friend group, so I tend to only post on the boards in response to others, and not for myself. I look at the Success Stories daily and it brings me so much motivation waiting for the day I can post my success story. But then I realized, life is ongoing, and whether it's…

Ankle Issues
So question. I have tiny little ankles for how tall and heavy I am. I also have tibial torsion (which means my shins are crooked and my toes point in) which makes things hard for me to excersise. I am just now getting to a point where I can jog without shin splints through a combination of good shoes and focusing hard on…

Chia Seeds?
A coworker told me to check out chia seeds because of the omega 3 content and that they act like an appetite supresent. Does anyone know anything about this/have experience with them?

Grocery List Time!
I'm making my grocery list, and I'm looking for tips on not-so-expensive ( I am a broke college student haha) foods to get. I am only learning to cook and sometimes am not so good so easy to make foods, and foods I can keep in the fridge at my work would be great. Any ideas?

Fitbit vs. Nike Fuel?
Hey guys, I've been considering a pedometer, but not just any simple step counter. I know a lot of people on here have fitbits and love them, but I also know a bunch of people that have the Nike Fuel, which seems similar, that also love that. The price difference is pretty big so I was wondering if anyone had experiences…

charlie horse?
Hey there, so sometimes (especially in the morning) if I stretch too deeply or move my legs a certain way they completely seize up and it's incredibly painful. I think I remember reading somewhere that this could be caused by a potassium deficiency, but I'm not sure. It is so painful and usually leaves that calf sore for…

Weigh ins, how often should they happen?
I've read a lot about how your body weight fluctuates a lot day to day given lots of different circumstances, and I know I don't want to weigh every day. Right now I have weigh ins set up for every other week but I get anxious about six days in. Would it be realistic to weigh in every week or will I get a better picture of…

I don't like the word "diet"
My friend brought up an excellent point the other day: why use the word "diet" when you mean to say cutting back, eating differently, etc.? A diet is just what you eat in a day, it has nothing to do with changes. I am not a rabbit. I will not eat rabbit food. I am an omnivore and I will continue to eat meat, it's all about…

Self motivation is the hardest thing
My name is Erienne and I joined this site over a year ago but never used it because I just wasn't ready to make the commitment. Now, I am the heaviest I have ever been and I decided this is the heaviest I ever will be. I'm only 21 years old but already starting to exhibit health issues due to my weight. My friends are…
