I have issues...
Ate a sausage link, giant meatball and gallon of spaghetti w/ homemade sauce from the little old lady in the kitchen 4 hours ago. I'm ready for seconds.

Plague of Midges...
Not that any of you care, but this is so freakishly cool. I work on the shores of Lake Michigan and this amazing plague of nasty is seriously remarkable. I can't walk outside to my car without these little *kitten* covering my face, getting in my mouth, hair, car... It's nasty. Yet so fascinating.

Athletic Beer Drinkers
Let's hypothetically say you signed up to run a half marathon (which is a long distance for you, but do-able). When do you STOP drinking in preparation for the race? 5 minutes? 2 days? 1 week? 3 months? Where is the beer vs. athlete line drawn?

Curious, How many of you met your SO on MFP?
Bear got me thinking... How many of you have met your current SO or perhaps a past SO on MFP? Any of you actually get hitched? Any of you actually have restraining orders now? Tell me your story.

Is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable?
Cause... Bob the Tomato, spokesman for the VeggieTales, is a total conundrum. My child is not accepting the fact that Bob is actually a fruit. Help. I don't know how to handle this. The cartoon is winning.

What is the proper etiquette for children's sleepovers?
I had a recent invite for my son to have an overnight that caught me off-guard. So, I'm wondering, in YOUR opinion/experience, what is the proper etiquette for sleepovers, or how would you handle this situation? “Nikki” (the mom) called me last week at work. She found my number in the school directory. She sounded “rough”…

Should we just break up?
Every morning I come on MFP to dutifully log the Miller 64 I consumed the night before... and every single morning I see this slore named "Iceberg_Simpson" talking to my manfriend for HOURS before we've even been able to exchange a goodmorning. Why is he talking to her every morning before he talks to me? I mean... rude or…

Seriously... What the??
I don't know what to do with this ad, MFP. But it looks dirty. Very Very... dirty.

Help me settle an argument

People that care about weddings...
I am hosting a bridal shower and bachelorette/lingerie thing. The bridal shower has 100 formal invites costing my silly broke self a couple hundred bucks in design/printing/postage, but they're damn cute. Anyhow, is it proper etiquette to also send real invites in the mail for the bachelorette? Or is an evite acceptable?…

19 Hard Things You Need To Do To Be Successful
I don't normally post such *kitten*, but I really liked this... http://luthas.com/2014/01/15/19-hard-things-you-need-to-do-to-be-successful/ You have to do the hard things. 1. You have to make the call you’re afraid to make. 2. You have to get up earlier than you want to get up. 3. You have to give more than you get in…

The coolest things I've learned on MFP
1. Mayo is a dairy b/c it's white. 2. The stuff that's floating in your pee is the fat coming out. 3. Beer has twice as much fat content than McDonald's French Fries. 4. Eat Protein. It creates muscles. 5. The only time that muscle weighs more than fat, is if the pounds of muscles is higher than the pounds of fat. (I've…

Insurance Debate.... Liability vs. Full Coverage
My girlfriend and I are discussing the merits of having Liability only vs. Full Coverage Auto Insurance on my vehicle... Age: 11 Years old Value: $2000-ish. I've always had full coverage just... because I always have. She's telling me it's pointless. Someone smart, tell me what to do.

Lingerie Parties (Women Only!)
OK, without giving any opinion... What do you think about a Bachelorette Party that is a "Lingerie Party." Meaning... everyone is to buy the bride to be undergarments, yo. Only women attending said event. Is this normal? Appropriate? Is there an age distinction on these parties? Discuss. Also, I've always wanted to put…

Christmas "Adopt a Family" - Crafty people help?
We have a program in our town to "Adopt a Family" for Christmas gifts through our Homeless Assistance organization. One of the kids on my list is a 14 year old girl that would like "Craft Things." That's the only description I have... I do not craft! At all... The idea of scrapbooking makes me nauseous just thinking about…

Do you celebrate Saint Nicholas Day?
Apparently, I've been suckered into this "holiday" since I live in the land of Germans... And my child is very excited to leave his shoes out this year more than ever before. When I was a kid, we'd get candy, fruit and nuts (in the shell, naturally) in our shoes. However, per the kid's at school, St. Nick is leaving…

HELP! How do I introduce a guy to my family?
So... we've been discussing the proper way to introduce the new guy to my parents. IMO, when you're pushing 40 and already divorced with kids, I feel the old rules are out the window and it's time to get real, right? Some suggestions so far... "This is the guy that's buttering my bread." "Daddy, this is the guy that I met…

Which would you rather fight to the death?
Your standard question of Shark vs. Bear is still in the equation... But I propose two new opponents as well. Help me argue this point.. Bear, who may maul you, drag you around, and play with you until you die of a gangrenous infection from it's filthy mouth that's fed on feces... Shark, who may munch on you repeatedly,…

My Mother Can't Be Trusted... At. All.
True story... on Wednesday this week, I met IPAKing from MFP at a local bar. He lives here. I licked him... but that's not the point. My mother knew we were out.
