Your standard question of Shark vs. Bear is still in the equation... But I propose two new opponents as well. Help me argue this point..

Bear, who may maul you, drag you around, and play with you until you die of a gangrenous infection from it's filthy mouth that's fed on feces...


Shark, who may munch on you repeatedly, but chances are you've already drown, so really... aren't you just completing the circle of life?


Chimpanzee, known for ripping off testicles and ears...


Portuguese Man of War, known for paralyzing it's prey with it's expansive tentacles....

Definitely Bear for the greatest chance of survival. A bear can be outrun (downhill), scared by loud noise and gestures or simply punched in the nose. I understand the possibility of actual survival is pretty slim, but at least the possibility is under my control. The Shark and MOW are just mindless killing machines. And that chimp... I don't fuc* with animals who consciously acknowledge the shear pain and terror inflicted on a victim by directly removing testicles. That's just a level of crazy I don't mess with regardless the species!
