Obese RA-Worrier fighting for normality
I will be 61 years old soon but don't feel like it. The numbers in my head and on paper don't match. I was diagnosed with RA 14 years ago, and I had my fair share of ups and downs. Do not use it, lose it.
I am in my 60's, I have been heavy for the better part of my life. Having diabetes, fibrillation, painful knees, long covid - now on oxygen & obese moving is painful. New Member Introduction
Good Morning, About 30 years ago I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane and then trusted an army doctor. Two lifestyle changing mistakes. Now I weigh 474 lbs at 5' 10 and the only consistent exercise I can get is walking in a local pool. I thought I'd hang out in this group a while to remind myself I'm not alone in…

Hi everyone! I’m once again trying to do something about the weight I’ve gained since being diagnosed with chronic migraine. Since June 2017 when my migraine became my constant companion (yes, constant zero days pain free) I went from 180 to almost 250 in 2019. Since 2019, I went off one med which helped me bring my weight…

Lifestyle change
A year ago I made the choice to switch to whole foods plant based eating. It has decreased my chronic pain immensely. I was even able to start physio again after years of being unable to progress. I can now do a full squat without support, something I thought was impossible. I'm not perfect and occasionally eat refined…

Anti-inflammatory diet
I started going to a new doctor last week because my former doctor always related my pain to my weight. I was sick of being fat shamed and stopped talking about my pain to avoid it. So, this new doctor is big into integrative medicine and suggested making small changes to my diet over time to create a more…
