Happy Sunday!! :D Once again I slept in although I went to bed late. I am like a kid on the weekends, stay up late sleep late. I went to Mass by myself, then tried to win some more money but alas did not. The place I like was filled so went somewhere else bad mistake.
Oh well I really can't complain I am still ahead. Today will be a stay at home day with more catching up on my TV shows. And I will ride my bike today with no excuses. I have stopped taking Aleve and need to exercise my knees more to keep them pain free. The weather doesn't help, we are expecting more snow tomorrow. Florida is definitely in my near future.

Jeri, so sorry about your foot, is it possible that the foot doctor could get a custom splint for your foot? I bet your grandchildren just adore you, too bad the two boys live further away but it makes it even more special when they see you.

Patsy and Anne, such talent you both have, I would love to see some of your paintings, can you share them??

Lin, still as busy as ever, you make me feel so lazy. I am glad you got to spend time with a friend and got a beautiful top in return.

Barbie, sorry you had to miss the meeting but alone time is always great. Enjoy your day.

    Marie, good morning.

Have a wonderful day, after all tomorrow is Monday.

    GOOD MORNING ALL:

So here are some Saturday photos of 1) my “Star” nephew with 2 of my sisters & relative; 2) Canyon Climb Adventure area where the event was held; and 3) montage of a few other pics (including me)

I’m not crazy about heights etc., but if I can get in shape I want to try the Canyon Climb…we’ll see.

    Burned 258 calories doing 45 minutes of Walking treadmill gym 3.2. mph;

Heading to store to try and find some sweat pants my size. The ones I wear are XXL down from 5XL – but need a plain XL before they fall off during a workout…of course, if that happened a lot of people in the gym would be so afraid of the visual, I’d probably have the place to myself (LOL).

Sandy – I hope things go well for your husband’s daughter especially having many physiological problems. I have 2 people close to me that had surgery – 1 had (and continues to have) great success and the other person essentially failed after a very brief period of time (they didn’t change their habits afterwards). Thanks for the weight-loss comment. I try to stay in check realizing that as far as I have come – the key will be “maintaining” – I’ll really judge myself in a year or 2.

Marie – Good going on the carbs. It is probably the main thing I watch…I’m a carboholic at heart.

Lin – It’s amazing how fast the time goes by. Some days, I feel like I just got up and its time for bed. Good luck with the taxes etc…never my favorite thing to do.

Patsy – It is amazing how those challenged with Down Syndrome can be the nicest people. His brothers car died on the way to the event with him in the car. I had to go get him. All the way to the event he kept saying “thank-you” for the ride. He can’t walk very much due to physiological issues, so a wheel chair is necessary many times. As I pushed him through the parking lot he continued “Thank you for pushing my wheel chair uncle bob.” Like your Dave, even under difficult circumstances he has been able to experience much of life.

OK – time to hit the shower & then the store for those sweat pants!

Enjoy your Sunday everyone! Bob :)

Anne ~I'll return to the woods with my camera when the bluebells are out as they spread like a thick carpet throughout.... just a shame I can't capture the scent!

Now have to watch the return of King Richard III to Leicester cathedral for a special service before he's laid to rest later in the week. A piece of history and who knows where we'd all be if he'd survived that final battle!!

love the wonderful Country you live in with all that fabulous scenery and mostly I love hearing that wonderful English accent. You have made my day!!!!!!

Bob, love your photos and agree the love from a Downs person is just wonderful, they are special and it takes special people to help raise them. The love is contagious.

Marie, you are making me blush and if it weren't for you none of us would have gotten together on this forum. We have you and only you to thank for that.

I have to say our leaders Marie and Sandy are the best! Love you gals.

We had a nice dinner last night and I stuck to my menu but my hubby ordered a few appetizers
and I learned another lesson, take one and leave the rest alone. Too much food. Ken, the guy who
was retiring was very pleased with everything and they gave Dave two bottles of wine for his retirement. So a great night all around.

We had a light breakfast this morning of fruit and toast and coffee. We all went to visit my MIL so she could visit with our friends from London, ON. Now they have left to visit some of their family and they will come back and pick up Annie their dog. We are babysitting their Australian Shepherd.

This is my day off of exercising so i have to be mindful of calories today.

Yesterday I talked to my oldest daughter, Kristina, who just got back from California volunteering at the Byron Katie conference. She told me all her stories and in the meantime I mentioned how I would like to go on a Yoga Retreat with her. So we have decided on one on an island in Kingston, On. for a long weekend in July. It really sounds interesting and I am getting excited and so is she.
Something to look forward to which mother and daughter can do.

Anne - Yes I will share my two stories next time.

Jeri - I always like the grandchildren outings you do and I am so looking forward to it.

Bob -A wonderful thing they did for all the down syndrome children. We also have an Aussberger's
child in our family. He is actually very funny. Love your photos.

Jackie - Your video was awesome. So peaceful and reminded me of an enchanted forest.
George was having a great time sniffy around and playing with the fish in the water.

Marie- So it seems that gluten is a culprit in your diet. That is great that you are going on
    2 months gluten free.

Patsy- Seeing the sea lions close up and not in the zoo must be fascinating. I hope you can
get back to painting, a peaceful thing to do.

Jackie! That IS the woodland path on which I saw my dad, and I can't wait for the bluebells in May!
What a lovely treat to come back home to for we went to see the little puppy, and boy is she EVER little. Such a sweetie and now she will soon have a new home with my Mike and Sandy. Her name is changed since we've seen the wee girl. She is now called Cinders which seems to suit her much better.

P.S. JACKIE, I was hoping they would lay poor Richard 111 to rest in York Minster. Any idea why they didn't? Things would have been very different if the battles outcome had been different! No horrid Henry 8th for a start and his poor unhappy wives, no change in religion, no destruction of all the beautiful abbeys and their treasures stolen etc, etc. ah well!

    Enjoyed the posts, and photos.
Jeri, I went thru Achilles pain. Have you seen shoes by keen? The pair I have are river walk sandals. Well, that is sort of the name. The strap around the back of the heel hits just right so that it supports the Achilles . No other shoe feels as good when it is hurting. Also, wearing my vionic walkers has(I think ) helped my tendonitis to heal.. it's been about 6 months since I took physical therapy for my Achilles pain, and it has started to return. I blame myself for not keeping up the exercises.

Bob, I got dizzy just looking at the photo, no climb for me! Wonderful photos.

Jackie, great video! George does a great job of ignoring you, when he chooses. I didn't realize the little pups would like the water.
Anne, congrats on your new grandpuppy, Cinders it is!
Sandy, it wouldn't hurt to have some bloodwork done. Adult onset diabetes can cause weight loss. Not to paint a dark picture♥

    Lin,safe travels.
    have a great week

Marie – Of course it’s the woman behind the man…. You made me think of a time before we got married and Jean mentioned things were so good there had to be something… I said “to tell the truth, I can sometimes be a slob.” She said, “That’s it?” I said, “pretty much.” --- that was the best confession I ever made…LOL –

Jackie – As usual – after your beautiful video – I had to “Google” and find out more: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g528850-d2355468-Reviews-Golitha_Falls-Liskeard_Cornwall_England.html Golitha seems to have impressed a lot of people. Thanks for sharing.

Glad I could join you and Anne – Richard III –

BOB, once again I am in your debt, thank you. On St George's day, patron saint of England, on 23rd April I shall go out and buy my white roses. White because I was born in Yorkshire and white roses are for York. If you are from Lancashire, you would buy red roses. The war of the roses of course, when poor Richard met his fate from the Tudors. I love all these celebrations and will be just as enthusiastic about Canada day. At least one doesn't have to buy maple leaves, they are in the back yard! ANNE

Another busy day. Up very early this morning, got the soy yogurt put away and the relish tray ready. Then off to pick up a couple of things at Trader Joe’s………zipped to church and the other lady didn’t show up to help prepare communion so I did it. Church went kind of long and then afterwards I did the cleaning up because she was so upset about hearing that one of our young ladies in the Army has just received notice they will be deployed overseas. She is very close to the girl and it hit her hard.

Home to get some veggies cleaned for me and made a big salad. Walking, sorting out what I’m taking tomorrow, slugging through email and lining up lunch for tomorrow. One more look over what I am taking to the tax appointment tomorrow.

I loved the video Jackie. And thanks to Bob for the additional info.

I’m sorry but I’ll have to pass on comments. I am just too exhausted to carry on this evening. Once I get back from tomorrow’s trip I hope to try to catch up a bit. Meanwhile, best wishes to everyone and good night.

:D Jackie, I loved the video of George and his walk in the woods.

:D Bob, great photos and stories about World Downs Day...yes, definitely invest in smaller workout pants.....my secret about maintenance is to keep doing what's been working with a very occasional meal that deviates from the old plan.

    >:) Sandy, be careful that the lure of the casino and the Bingo table doesn't take back all your great winnings.

<3 Lin, be safe on your trip

<3 Jeri, I hope you find some relief soon for your foot problems.

:D I had a great visit with a group of friends this afternoon that included pizza. I decided ahead of time to have pizza but didn't touch any of the other "goodies", It was probably a week's worth of sodium so my weight will be high tomorrow and probably for a few more days.

:D Had a fun day today that included laundry, 20,000 steps of dog walking and a nap with the pets. Life doesn't get any better than this.

<3 Barbie from beautiful NW Washington

Hi there! Still having difficulty posting photos. Decided to start out by showing you our sweet old furry girls, Amazing Mazzy, (age 10) white headed old english sheepdog and MoMo the wonder dog (age 11) the black and white mix. Posting photos on the iPad isn't duck soup, as they say. I have been wanting to share images for weeks. I have so much to learn. I learn with great difficulty.
Have a restful night, we have a busy week ahead.
