Sandy, Love the cute kittle picks of Robbie, He is a little darling.
Lin, Your mother did a great job painting them. They are so sweet.
When I was in college I used to paint those little figures also. I loved doing that. Once year for Christmas I remember making a character for each of my sisters and parents. Many of the sisters still have them . They were about 12 inches tall. I also have some little mice that I made and I'll attach a picture of two of them. I made three but don't know what happened to number 3. While I am at it I'll attach a picture of the clock that I am making with shells I collected at the beach. I have not glued the shells down yet but wanted to have your opinions of what I have laid out so far. I was trying to put the number of shells for each number on the clock. I painted the round board and my husband attached the clock part in the center. I like dong little projects like this.

So sorry to read your friend lost her battle... just hang on to the thught that she's in a btter place and who knows, one day you'll both meet again.
Lin ~ Goodness, I can see why your dad was in business with this friend.... alike or what! Marie hit the nail on the head about care homes; you can only do your best in choosing and certainly upsetting the staff will not help your dad's situation, something the friend should grasp. Also, going through his possessions and even turning up at the property for a nose round is just plain rude but I do appreciate you don't want to cause more friction if your dad enjoys his company.
Phyllis ~ Your clock is amazing and so creative... what a lovely idea. Once upon a time I used to find time for crafts as well as working full time, renovating my property and clearing the neglected garden and it's something I miss but have to accept I'm slowing down so when day to day tasks shout at me I have to listen!!

I'm still swimming weekly, walking with George of course and watching my diet but gained 3 lbs last week so it seems the goal I reached isn't going to be easy to maintain. Oh well, a clear blue sky and relatively mild temperatures are calling me outside and because the forecast isn't great from tomorrow I'd better go. Perhaps an afternoon gardening will help.

That's me---running around again today. I am going to visit my dad tomorrow so need to get a few things done and get packed for the trip. The nurse says may dad is very anxious all the time now---so anxious he isn't sleeping all the time and they think it is because they have to use the Hoyer lift all the time now and he really doesn't like it. I think it will be a very long day.

Jackie - you are right. That friend of my dad's is A LOT like my dad although I've always thought of him as more extreme than my dad but they probably were like two peas in a pod.
Sandy - thanks again for the pictures. I hope you were able to help Bryanna straighten things out.
Shirley - I hope you are able to get some rest.

Cleaning up the 'cat room' which involves vacuum mop wash and launder. Then it just leaves the rest of the house! . Jim is painting, rain coming tonight, and he must return the lift thing this evening. Lol, his plan was to rent it for one day, this will be the week! So he gets it for a better rate at weekly. it has helped when he has been able to avoid the ladders, his hips and lower back have been hurting.
I love seeing your craftworks, whether it is from past or recent times. Phyllis, the mice look old fashioned, I love that! I also like the bowl behind the mice. The clock is a great way to display your collection and i like the color. It dawned on me we had our daylight savings time end, do you have anything like it in Egypt? You'll have things to pass on to your descendants. Better get more shells!
Jackie Ive been watching a series called 'Rosemary and Thyme'. The best thing about it is the scenery, just gorgeous. One episode was about allotments, so many different types of people and vegetation. Even squatters! The glitter graphics has been working, maybe just a glitch in copy and paste
I hope our phone rings less now that the elections have come. I just answer and hang up! Thats if it isnt a known number. The 'Do not call list' Does Not work!
Back to work, and I do consider it to be work!

Lin, cant they have the dr. Add some sedative? That anxiety is very common I believe. My father in law was on xanax for about 20 years. He used it when he stopped drinking, then didnt do well when he tried to stop taking it. His doctor told him to stay on it.0

Happy Wednesday!!
Another busy day. Going with Bryanna to the DMV, I think a visit with Donna and then to bingo. Robby was good for a lot of pictures but once he had enough he was done. The photographer got some great shots so I bought the CD so we can choose the pictures we want printed and have them done cheaper at Walgreens. Once I get the CD from Lisa I will share which I have chosen. Bryanna met us at the studio with her little sister and we all went to lunch, it was a fun few hours.
A good friend of Babe's died and we will be going to the wake and funeral next Monday and Tuesday. He told his son about the death and he said if Sandy is going then I will not be going. Thank goodness, less stress for me.
Babe has asked me to order flowers which I will do later this week. 
Lin, exactly how far is the drive to visit your dad? It is so hard to go through this with people we love, although my visits consist of negativity from Donna I go because I love her as you do your dad. The good news is that they didn't arrest Bryanna but she has another court date on the 19th. At least her license wasn't suspended and hopefully the judge will let her go to traffic school and not have it on her record. I just hope she has learned a lesson and doesn't be so irresponsible again. 
Marie, too bad you couldn't go to England to watch your cowboys with Jackie.
Jackie, not sure but you might have missed part of the code because glitter graphics has been working fine for most of us. Clicking on your link shows the cute graphic so I am sure Shirley will still see it. I also had gained 3 pounds but it is gone now, I think I had way too much salt and paid the penalty.
Phyllis, I also love the clock and the mice, you are very talented.

Hello Ladies,
I just got back from my yoga class and it was just what I needed. (Mind,body, and spirit)
Just wanted to say hello and try to stay in touch this week.
Lin - Safe travels to see your Dad. You might want to ask about a sedative for your Dad just to help him relax. My Dad was on some meds for that to keep him from getting agitated.
Phyllis - Love the crafts. I used to do crafts years ago and ceramics was one of them.
I attended classes and made many things and gifts for other people. I called it therapy.
I have a few things left including the Christmas tree with the lights glued in. Mine is a white tree with green lights. I put it up every year.
Sandy - You are one busy grandma. I hope to be that soon.
Jackie - Thanks for the graphic even though it didn't come through. It's the thought that counts.
Phoebe- What's the status on you and Jim going back to work? Are you retiring?
Well have to get groceries and trip to Walmart.

Stopping by as I eat my lunch. Sorry I didn't explain it well. My dad has been on an anti-anxiety med since his stroke 6+ years ago. His anxiety has increased and the dose is not working. They have increased it---he is taking the same dose but TWICE a day. If they give him too much he will never be awake. Initially when they put him on this they tinkered through working out the proper dose and with just a little increase he was falling over asleep in his lunch plate............! So they are going very slowly with increases which is good but also bad. If it's not enough he won't be getting any relief.
Laundry finished. Almost done cutting up veggies. Some cooking to do. Waiting for phone calls. Packing things to take with me tomorrow. I guess since the phone rang when I was going to leave today that the errands will have to wait until another day!
I plan on 2 and a half hours for a one-way trip Sandy. I don't pay much attention but it is somewhere around 130 miles one way.
Back to work!!

Jake left at noon today for a long weekend trip to see friends in California. I missed him five minutes after he left but there are a lot of things I can do when I have the house to myself so I'm looking forward to that rather than thinking about missing him. The dogs bark and rush to the door every time they hear a sound that might be him coming home.
Phyllis, your clock is wonderful...you are so creative.

Oh me Barbie Jake will be out ot town on my birthday, you wont be able to sing a duet with Jake on my birthday. I will miss that. So sweet and cute of you two. do hope he has a safe and wonderful trip. and you enjoy some free alone time.. Looking forward to more post from you.

And I shall always be friends with you. yesterday I spent mostly doing research on free embroidery designs on the computer Lots of fun. and found a couple I think I might like. one is to make a Christmas ornament and the other is fall leaves. I still get confuse on how to download them but these just fine. Usually I have to wait for Alice to find them for me.
For there is no telling where I save them. every site is difference and I et confuse.

Happy Thursday!! My busy day with my meeting and errands. I won the $500 jackpot at bingo last night, so exciting. It will come in handy for Christmas so I am happy.
Still working with Bryanna to get her license straightened out, I won't go into detail but she messed things up something awful. We are slowly getting things done so hopefully when she goes back to court on the 19th she will get her license back. I told her I am done enabling her and that she has to take take responsibility for her actions because this is too hard on me, I get to stressed. So once this is taken care of she is on her own although I will always love her and support her in her good decisions.
I better eat and get ready, have a good day.

I am a very lucky Sneakers got a nice birthday card from Lin
and just received a box from Phoebe. Assortment of Items. That I can used one was a insulated lunch bag that I was thinking about buying.. Some fancy looking coffee some chia seeds Have to see how I can used them 2 grocer shopping bags which I dearly love.and other things. Pilgrim salt and pepper shaker for thanksgiving. Thank you Phoebe, I am a very lucky old woman to have friends like this. Birthday not till tomorrow but feel like it was today. Yes I agree with Jackie they are additives I ate one and quickly hid them in the freezer I may have to lot it and get Jerry to hide the keys. The name is Digestive. sounds like some medicine but did not taste like medicine. Thanks you dear. both of you. oh and a pair of pink socks to keep my feet warm. I sleep in socks at night. Will come in handy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAY MARIE!!
I hope I didn't miss it.
I am waiting for my daughter and husband to come so we can go back to the funeral home. I was there this afternoon to support and see how the family were doing and will go back tonight. The funeral is tomorrow at 11:00am
They have a picture of Elli and myself in a beautiful frame with a lovely saying on it.
I can't remember it right now but I will look at it again tonight and let you know what it says.
