Oops, lots of missing letters above, my fault I'm sure but MFP won't let me edit. You will get the drift I'm sure! ๐0

Afraid to use my computer as I have to do a scan. I think it's serious. Will get back when I find out!0

Home. We will see how my leg feels in a couple of days. Definitely caused too much tension and tightening during the multitudes of repeats. I dropped out several times and made extra visits to the ladies room. Lots of discomfort. Never knew how many more times we would repeat! Lovely demonstrations at the end of the day. One by the Master Trainers of Sun 73 and then one really outstanding demonstration of Chen 56 by our head instructor. Totally fabulous!
I have my little attendance certificates and I can now check this off my list as I have seen and studied with a world renowned tai chi master. I cannot see that will ever happen again. Sometimes circumstances are less than perfect but then that is life.
Jackie, I can read what you typed, no need to correct the spelling.
Buzz, I hope whatever is happening is not serious.
I remember we had a Google hangout for a while back in the day.
Hugs my friends. Need to unpack and do a few things in prep for tomorrow morning. Foot soaking is on the horizon.

Trying to catch up with several things this evening. One being getting caught up with the Sneakers again, running a couple of loads of wash and peering occasionally at the Calgary Flames/ San Jose Sharks hockey game. The hockey games I was taught about during my Calgary days back in the early 1970s. Fun to watch on tv occasionally.
Does anyone enjoy burning scented candles ? While in Oregon more recently I discovered Tuscany candles. In particular the Pumpkin Apple scented one. So many times when you get a candle the scent doesn't last long, but this one is a wonderful candle. Perfect for burning in the evening during this fall season.
Buzz...so sorry to hear about the ups and downs with your daughters illness.. This especially hard when you have to get everything second hand and the diagnoses change as well. When we are ill we expect our MDs to have all of the answers; even more so when it is a highly respected hospital. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Hope you are feeling a bit better as well.
It as has been an interesting week in Calif. though it didn't directly affect me. Due to our numerous fires last yr our utility company (PGE) decided to shut off all the power in various counties when the winds were expected to be quite strong drying out the environment even more possibly starting up fires from the power lines etc. It was being done in the whole state for an unknown period of time. Thankfully we don't use PGE for our electricity...just gas, so our utility company wasn't concerned. We have lots of underground utilities. It lasted about 3 days...not everywhere, but occasionally in areas that didn't end up with the strong winds. People were not happy. Shelves in the stores were cleaned out and yes some fires did start during that period. Being we are in a senior community it wasn't a problem for us or our neighbors. Very thankful we bought here because it appears to be an on going problem for the future. Definitely made for a few interesting days. Winds have settled down and it is getting cooler. I so glad to finally have cooler weather.
As for flu shots it seemed when I got them as a kid I always got sick from them. With my mother being an RN and I was one of 4 kids we had to have flu shots. It seems within the past 15 yrs we have had them because of babysitting our grandkids. Not so much now, but being a senior it is highly recommended now. Had mine last week and I woke up with the achies and a fever, but it was gone about 3 hrs later. And for sanitizer our daughter worked in a orthodontist office...sanitizer had to be used by the whole family when around her kids. Other than an occasional casino trip we don't bother anymore. Old school we need to be around some germs/dirt to stay healthy.
Spent the afternoon with our son and his family celebrating our 10 yr old granddaughters birthday. And so the birthdays begin in the family. Two in November. One is our sons. Hard to believe he will be 45 already. Being a premature they didn't expect him to live long. He was a fighter and only lives about 20 minutes away. Time sure flies by.
Before I forget Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends and I think you too Jackie right ? Have a wonderful day tomorrow. Dryer just buzzed so I need to run. Also thinking of the rest of you. Enjoy your evenings...

Just woken up after a very late and very hilarious thanksgiving at Mark and Mary Jo's, but here's a preview of Hobbes the giant puss taking the Bean for a walk! Anne.
0 -
George just made me jump barking loudly as one of the cats jumped off a bed upstairs so I tapped the wrong key and lost my long post ๐ฅ๐ช
Have to get on but will return later. Must say though Anne, that photo is hilarious. I've a suspicion Jilly Bean might be trying to escape!!
Jackie0 -
Hobbes is massive JACKIE. The photo doesn't show how big. His paws are like a Labradors. For all that he's a gentle giant and he and Jilly rub noses and play chase. I'm trying to get mike to send another photo. Marks holding him and stretched out he is half Marks size. He ended up eating Jillys chicken and rice, whilst Jilly ate our roast beef! Derek and Bev are now thinking of changing his diet to home cooked chicken. Turned his nose up at their canned posh cat food.
About to stuff a poor chicken, dead I hasten to add, with sage and onion stuffing.
Anne.0 -
And here's Hobbes the giant puss and he's not full grown yet. Talk about "tiger, tiger, burning bright"!
1 -
Well, after a meal of roast beef and all the trimmings, followed by apple crumble, Mike produced a bottle of something to finish off. He had been talking to a bunch of Italian guys who were praising this drink to high heaven. Don't ask me what it was called but after one sip I felt Vesuvius had blown up inside me! We tried watering it down with ice cubes to no avail and with watering eyes Mike was later sent home with the remainder in the bottle. He's promised to never buy it again!
This was followed by a hilarious game of something. Derek and Bev have a habit of buying these new games each gathering and having tested them previously, always win leaving us four looking clueless. Much hilarity because who knows if they are cheating or not.
Derek looked very swashbuckling sporting a new haircut. He's a handsome lad and reminds me of that architect nicknamed "the Buccaneer" in the Forsyth Saga.
The pets, full of chicken and roast beef, slept through all this having exhausted themselves from a game of chase and in Hobbes case, being removed from kitchen counter tops.
A good time was had by all, Jill's still snoozing under her blanket and so ended harvest festival of 2019.
Anne. ๐โค๏ธ๐ถโฅ๏ธ๐น
PS. Must add, when Jill came in from a pee break an enormous black and white spotted moth came in with her. Gorgeous thing, but alas, Hobbes decided it was just the thing for dessert! Brady is not alone!0 -
What a wonderful family gathering Anne! Thanks for the photos. Regarding the game, our former library ladies gathered at a ladyโs home a week ago Thursday and the same thing happened. Someone brought a game, the person who brought it knew it well as well as the lady who was with her when she purchased it. The rest of us were clueless. Hummmmm.
The furnace is now serviced and the filter paid for. Yeah. Hope it just keeps chugging along.
I am leaving soon to go to a tour of the totally remodeled senior center I have not visited since I hurt myself. I would like to see the changes they have made.
It is a sunny day. The furnace serviceman said we are to receive snow flurries tomorrow. He didnโt seem to be kidding but I have not heard that forecast. I hope not.
Hugs my friends. So happy to hear from Diane! โค๏ธโค๏ธ Also sorry to hear of another lost post. Hate that.
Be safe, be healthy.

Happy Monday! Busy morning, went to the dermatologist to get a second zap and now I am done with him for a year. Then went to Walmart to see if they could fix my frames on my reading glasses but ending up buying new frames. Lisa in the meantime texted me to see if I wanted to go to a pumpkin farm with her after the kids nap. We will meet there later this afternoon. I sit at 10am tomorrow but not sure if it is for the whole day or not, she has a doctor's appointment. I did tell her I could stay if she wants to go to her meeting, not sure why I did that. lol Wednesday a dental cleaning, maybe bingo, Thursday my meeting and back to sit for kiddos. Busy week which I think is better for me otherwise with this weather I sometimes go on a pity party.
Have a great day.
Sandy

Happy Monday, Monday so good to me๐ถ๐ถ the wash is chugging along as well as the dish washer. So the week has started. It is quite cool but sunny out. I hear rain is on the way, of course..this is Oregon after all.
I am enjoying one of my favorite morning treats, mandarin orenges.. a Costco speciality. However, I must comment on Anneโs family thanksgiving. It sounds absolutely Perfect! The meal and wonderful family activities after, my idea of heaven. Hobbes and Jilly are so adorable, I would be obsessed with taking photos of everything they did. How lucky they get along so well. It looks as if Hobbes could cause great damage if so inclined. I wonder if the bottle of liquor was that lemon flavored drink favored by Italian get-togethers. I have had a sip or two and wondered if it was really nitroglycerin...Wooooooh!
Lin: so you are home healing from an arduous session with fellow tai chi followers. That must have been quite an experience. Good for you for signing up for this. It would have been daunting for me even if I had any training at all. Sounds like this was not for the casual tai chi followers.
Diane: so good to hear from you. I confess that I was concerned for you when looking at those terrible photos of the wildfires. It is always one our big worries. We are surrounded by huge tall trees and they are evergreens, we loose power it seems at least once or even more yearly. We are at a loss when that happens. We have all the emergency stuff ready to go but it still brings things to a stop!
Well, I need to get to work. The day is half over I still have a full day of chores. Some of them are even fun.

Hello Sneakers and happy Monday. My day has been sort of constructive. After our walk on the moors this morning I took George into the vet so his stitches could be removed and he was a brave boy but couldn't wait to get out! More emails to be answered then finally out came the pot of paint to freshen up the kitchen walls..... George is wearing a small splash on his side of course! While I painted I listened to a selection of my old vinyl albums on dad's stereo system, everyone from Frank Sinatra and Harry Nilsson to ELO and Gene Pitney.
Just as I sorted out what I would be eating and put the kettle on for my evening cuppa a knock at the kitchen door. It was someone from the allotments I had emailed this morning so as my cuppa got cold I did my best to sort his small problem out. Too late to bother to light the stove so back to cooking when a message came through from the estate agent handling the house sale to tell me our solicitor is holding things up by not answering queries and the buyer wants to exchange this Friday. By the time I sorted that out my meal was cold... I eat it anyway!
So that's me, cold tea, cold cottage and cold supper but I'll make myself a hot drink in a minute.
Happy Thanksgiving Anne. Hobbes is a gorgeous boy and of course cats being what they are he's going to want to eat the same as you humans. ๐
Lovely to hear from Diane again but it does seem you have similar concerns to Patsy about fires. You must both take care. Not Thanksgiving in the UK Patsy but we do have a Harvest Festival.
Another hot soak tonight Lin or are those aches easing? I do hope so.
Sandy, that is a busy week you have planned. Enjoy yourself but give YOU some quality time too.
I do hope Buzz has managed to sort out her computer problems and didn't find a nasty virus. Perhaps we'll hear later.
I'm off to make that hot drink.

Good evening. The tour of the renovated building was nice but I found out my ID will not let me check in. Must call them tomorrow to see if they can get my access restored without a payment for the fitness classes as I do not want them at this time.
I have been working on a wedding card all afternoon. Not going to be terrific but it will have all the brideโs selected colors. Stupid vellum tape didnโt exactly work properly. I can see several bits of it and that is not suppose to happen. Cannot decide on how many embellishments to add to the front. Will sleep on it and hopefully decide tomorrow.
I have laundry to do, cooking needed, a trip to Trader Joeโs, a run to the post office and loads of cards to work on. But as it turns out not only is the usual Tuesday afternoon library puzzle time cancelled but just heard we have flu in the Mah Jongg group so that is cancelled for tomorrow morning as well. So maybe I will spend both Tuesday and Wednesday at home. Wow, that might be nice.
I havenโt decided what to do this evening. I may just go with the dear heating pad and lovely pain relief salve. Soaking my feet is always an option but it puts me to sleep. I soak my tootsies, read and feel my eyes getting heavy. It is usually a struggle to get to bed!
Patsy, yes all the days of seminar were more for current instructors or those studying to become certified. There were only a few Mavericks there, that is people who do not teach and donโt have any intention on working through the certification process. People from a number of Midwestern states drove to Des Moines to train and learn. It was a pretty big (and intimidating) group. And it was physically challenging especially since we were standing on a concrete floor each day.
Okay, no more whining, for now. ๐๐
Jackie, what a day! So will you have to drive to London later this week? Or is that not settled yet? Hugs to George. And may your kitty continue to feel well.
Hugs again. Must get the trash collected and out out. My life is one exciting adventure after another. ๐๐

It's gone midnight here so I can wish Anne the happiest birthday. There's that saying.... "you're not getting older, you're getting better" and that definitely applies to you.
Have a brilliant day.
Hugs..... Jackie, George, Betty, Hebe, Brady and the Chooks xxxxxxx

Just popped in before I think bed. And found the wonderful surprise above. By British time it IS my birthday so thank you JACKIE, George, Betty, Hebe, Brady and the chooks. Lovely surprise!

Rough search but I had stupidly downloaded not 1 but 2 Trojans (severe viruses) along with an intended newer upgrade to Messenger! When my PC Security, Windows Defender, put out an alert that 2 of the intrusions had been "remedially incomplete", I was terrified and started a search for the files where the downloads of something had been hidden, and THAT involved finding the name of the download that had slipped in along side Messenger. After 2 days search, I finally located and eliminated both Trojans and believe my computer is now clean as a whistle again! 3 scans showed everything is fine.
It has been a tough few days. Yesterday my new hearing aids sounded as if they were exploding when I used the remote adjustment device to make them more comfortable in the noisy dining room and it sounded like an explosion, followed by silence! Later , I found a recharge brought them back to functioning for today.
Our Director's meeting today brought jeers when we learned a new group had reported our Current Events speaker was a trouble maker who doesn't support our President! Thus, announcement that the Community could no longer pay her fee or it would jeopardize our non-profit status! No discussion
And tonight our bus to a theater where I had been given a ticket came and left 20 minutes early so we missed the show. C'est la vie. Tomorrow may return to normal, I surely hope!
ANNE, dear friend,
Buzz

Another morning of emails as we are now faced with a delay in the house sale but I must eat some lunch and hopefully get outside as the sun is shining after a foggy start. I will return later, no doubt with a cuppa and another long list of emails to attend to.
What's today? Oh yes, Tuesday! Have a good one Sneakers!
Jackie1 -
Yes it's Tuesday, I was born on a Tuesday. Full of grace.....what! Now that proves old sayings aren't always to be trusted! Good luck today JACKIE and goodbye to all these annoying setbacks.

Happy Tuesday! Did you notice the English Accents Anne? Happy Birthday! Love you!
Have to get ready to leave to sit so have a wonderful day.

Yes, I noticed and was very touched by your thoughtfulness SANDY. Can't wait to play it to the family.
Anne. ๐โค๏ธ0 -
Here I am the last one of us to send birthday wishes to our dearest Anne! ๐๐๐๐I want you to know how extremely important you are to the sneakers and those who know and love you. Your energy and intellect cannot be ignored or contained. I hope you know you are a special person. That is why an upside down birthday wish is totally appropriate. YOU are that birthday gift to all who are lucky enough to be in your world. Happy birthday dear friend. ๐

I think PATSY that I'm the lucky one to have found such a group of very nice ladies in this wide, wide world. You've all made this old gals day!
Anne ๐0 -
Good evening Sneakers. I've achieved most of what was needed but house sale one step forward and two back. My brother leaves the country tomorrow in search of sunshine while 2nd brother already lives abroad so muggins here doi g my best alone!
Are you having a wonderful birthday Anne? ๐๐๐๐๐พ I loved Sandy's happy birthday video. Brilliant!
Buzz, I so admire your ability to delve into your computer and search for Trojan viruses. AND you found them and removed. Hopefully all is safe again. Judy sent me a lovely long email that I hope to be able to respond to in the morning. It seems they have recovered from their travels!
A busy day for you Sandy although full of fun with the kids I'm guessing.
Lin, hello, do take care of those aches and pains. A quiet day at home?
Oh dear, I'm yawning so perhaps an early night is in order.
Take care friends. ๐๐
Jackie0 -
Goodness, I fell asleep here and see it's almost time for ou Birthday Night Dinner. Love you all and sorry I can't make individual comments SSSHHHHhhhhhh! But I think I'm beginning to feel better with the breathing and moving and fatigue. I have been a bit discouraged but am doing better.
