Haha Anne! Unfortunately our Boris prefers private jets even as he lectures us on environmental issues! It’ll be a nightmare for his protection team if he cycles to parliament on it… talk about sticking out like a sore thumb! Lovely bike though. 😆

Hello, doing chores today. Cleaning the kitchen floor, laundry, gathering up paper and trash for pickup tomorrow, watering houseplants, harvesting the last of my container lettuce (🥺), cutting some zucchini, etc., etc. Cooked a nice package of frozen veggies for lunch.
I have lots more assembly work on my cards which led me to assess how many tape runner refills I have. Oops, running low. Need to search for some that will be available in the next few weeks.
I say that because I found a paper pad that I want for a project and the estimated delivery is near the end of July. I have a bit of that paper but no use to start until I receive the paper and if the order is cancelled, so is the project. Is everything delayed lately? ☺️
Jackie, we were told Boris loves to ride his bike. Not true? And I am glad that plant has your name on it. 🙌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙌🏻 Now to snare it without being seen! Oh George, all dirty again? You are quite the adventurous doggie.
Anne, busy day at your house as well. Are we all knee deep in domestic chores today? I hope you are settling in on your new laptop. No mosquitos?? Wonderful!
Sandy, enjoy your vacation. Always takes some extra effort to get ready to go. Sorry about the sink issue. I hope he fixes it quickly.
Patsy, also doing a multitude of domestic chores. Excellent. Ah Katie, you have met your match in our dear friend Patsy. The pollen here is also in the dreadful range. I am so glad for Kleenex and over the counter eye drops.
Well, back to work.
Be well everyone.

I love Thelwell and the pony cartoons. Someone posted an article that his estate has agreed to a project. I hope we are able to see it someday.

Lin, Boris cycled everywhere in London before he became Prime Minister so I understand why Biden gifted him that fabulous bike.
Perhaps he should also have offered Stars and Stripes boxer shorts to jog in!!
I was given the Thelwell annual every Christmas when I was a kid because I loved his cartoons although I never owned a pony. Coal, milk and daily bread was delivered on horse and cart though so I got to fuss them and run out to offer a sugar lump. I’m sure Anne will agree those were the best days in England!
Spent a couple of hours at the allotment this evening weeding, planting climbing French beans and watering. New walking boots were delivered while I was out so no more wet feet!

Oh Jackie! What a lot of information and great pictures. Although perhaps it is a good thing he did not receive more running shorts. 🤣😂🤣 I see he wore a biking helmet. Good for him. I wonder if he will ride again? He could have security around him on their bikes.
I follow the Thelwell page on Facebook and adore it. I hadn’t heard of him at all as a child in the United States. Now I devour everything I can find. I loved horses as a kid but not fat little ponies and no fancy riding gear or jumping them. Just a plain horse with western gear and I wore cowboy boots.
Good work at the allotment and glad your feet will be dry once again!

Good morning Sneakers. Another beautiful day but plans to walk early went awry when I stepped out of the shower, reached across the wide windowsill to pick something up and knocked over my full mug of coffee. It’s a small area and I was surrounded by coffee and broken China on the floor so best option was to use my bath towel to mop up! That and bath mat now washed and hanging in the sun to dry!
We’re back from a relaxing stroll across the moor where George and Betty were disappointed to find the ponies had got to their muddy pool before them so they decided it was best not to take on those huge dogs!!
Dave and Joe arrived as I put my car away and are now laying the new floor tiles that were the most expensive in the shop, not by choice but the only ones I liked!
Lin, Boris wasn’t always sensible about wearing a helmet when he was mayor of London until one day he was followed and photographed riding through red lights and on sidewalks without one and another time collided with a lady who was on foot and said the most dangerous things on our roads are pedestrians! I think it’s British humour that keeps his popularity high!
What great news a movie is to be made about Penny and Merrylegs if they can find a short fat pony… I’m sure there will be a few out there! 😆
Work next door on their patio has stopped and they are keeping their distance at the moment but I’ve decided I should get some legal advice and will phone a solicitor today. Apart from that I do my best to stay out of the sun which means sitting under the patio umbrella while the builders work but goodness, it’s so difficult as I’m not used to inactivity. I do have some washing up to do so that will be this morning’s excitement!
Bon voyage Sandy! Have a wonderful time with your friends.
Betty is due a thorough brush today but unlike Katie does enjoy the attention. George has to be enjoying a quiet frame of mind which is rare but always rushes about like a puppy after he’s groomed and I take that as pleasure.
Enjoy your day everyone and stay safe.

What I like about Boris is he isn't a vain man. How can he be wearing those shorts! plus his sense of humour of course. Wouldn't it be fun to see all the leaders in gaily patterned shorts although a few yards of material would be needed for a certain Asian leader.
Jilly doesn't need much in the way of grooming and tolerates brushing with her usual good humour. The next time Mikes over she is getting a bath which she seems to enjoy with much shaking of her ruff afterwards.
We are having a mild spell which would be lovely for gardening if it didn't keep raining. However never look a gift horse in the mouth and the weeds are flourishing and loving it.
Just a shortie from me as the day is barely beginning. Plus I'm doing pretty good but still a little slow on Larry the Lap top.
Cheers, Anne.0 -
Happy Tuesday! Got up early to get ready for our mini trip but wanted to pop in and say good morning.
Will try to check in everyday if just to let you know if I am winning or losing.
Have a great day.

One Day at a Time0 -
Good afternoon. I played with my plants again this morning. More Zucchini. Yum. The few bush green bean plants are producing buds and everything seems to be growing well. Unfortunately, the area has a water shortage. In this suburb, for now, we are not allowed to water anything between the hours of 10am and 5pm. Our neighboring city has it a bit harder, depending on your house number (odd or even) you are allowed to water certain days of the week. Three days in total so there is one day where no one is allowed to water. Now, for people with programmed irrigation systems for their lawn, lots of programming changes will be needed. If that isn’t enough, lawn watering will be allowed and water will be rationed. I am not sure how they will do that. I hope it isn’t necessary! I don’t water my lawn so I trust no one will get upset with my water use for vegetables.
I did make a short trip to the library to pick up my books on hold. A librarian I know brought them out and we had a nice conversation. That was a plus for today.
The 4th of July cards are completed and I have found envelopes for all of them. Just need to start addressing the cards. I found a birthday card with the front finished but nothing inside. I will find a sentiment and stamp it and I will be on the way to having a card to send to the lady with a birthday later this month.
I have a big stack of mail to sort through. I have not been out today but I brought in a few days worth of mail yesterday. I will get to it. One of these days.
Jackie, I am sorry you had a mess to clean up. I drop things and spill a bit of coffee or tea from time to time but haven’t broken much china or earthenware. I do not like cleaning up messes particularly because I am always to blame! Speaking of Thelwell, I think there are lots of chubby ponies but I don’t know if they would be trained well enough for an appearance in a movie. I lost the credits for this photo but it is cute.
Patsy, Anne, Jackie, much doggie grooming this week. Hope it all goes well.
Be safe everyone.

Had one of those sleepless nights. So crazy…nothing bothering me, no pain..just could not turn off my brain. I can see this will be strange day. I will be going around like a zombie. But I will go from one thing to another until the day is through and then I will give bedtime another go!
Katie loves being brushed as long as she doesn’t see scissors. Or nail clippers. Then we go into serious negotiations. I cut her nails every other month. They still grow very long so quickly. Brushing is a very social time and she also gets a hair conditioner rub. It is emu oil lotion. Great for their hair and skin. All told, a weekly brush only takes about 30 minutes, with some nail clipping and a face trim, add another 15 minutes. Zip zip brush brush rub rub Done!
I guess I will jump into my dungeon and do an exercise session. I hope to do this one productive thing before I begin my zombie day. Might skip the weights just for safety. I am not feeling too steady.
It is to be a sunny day. The birds are chirping in the vine maple. I think there is a nest there. Have a great day everyone.
Jackie: I can imagine your excitement as your little home is renewed. You have put in so many wonderful improvements. When completed will you have a housewarming party for friends and family to see in the finished state? I would be tempted to do just that!
Lin: not to worry about finding just the right horse for that movie. Our son Damon is in the business of magic. You would be amazed at the movies and TV he has helped create wonderful creatures and effects.
Off to then dungeon, then coffee…lots of coffee.

Hello. I am trying to find a large Canadian flag. Why? well for a start Canada day is coming up and whilst unlike others on our street I've never been that patriotic before I'd like to put one up this year for dual reasons. You can probably guess why after 8 weeks of junk description.
Other than that a gorgeous day here. This is short because I need to do some weeding before we sizzle again tomorrow.
Sleepless in Oregon? I know how you feel PATSY because that infliction hits me every so often as well. Nothing on my mind usually but I lay awake staring at the ceiling whilst the Bean lays on her back, legs twitching, as she chases some dream squirrel.
I managed to put in a grocery order on Larry the Laptop and time will tell if I managed this difficult feat which five year olds seem to have no difficulty doing.
so bye for now,
Anne.
PS. Loud crashes from next door as the Lad fills his truck again. Unbelievable!

Started off with a lot of cloud although still hot when the sun peeped through. I walked George and Betty on the moor before driving into town to stock up on George’s raw meat. A few items picked up at the farm shop then home to find Dave and Joe already laying more tiles. Another bridge will be built for me to walk from garden room to stairs although the pooches should be fine if they step on the tiles. One large tile has been placed across the doorway to keep pets out but while they were eating lunch in their van and I was outside there was the loudest crash. I rushed in to discover Brady standing on the tile, now down on the floor, looking extremely bemused! This evening I will put a 2nd coat of paint on the new loo walls but first I must finish cutting the grass because the forecast is for rain in the early hours. My neighbouring farmer had just been cutting sileage so must have seen the forecast too.
The child and pony in that photo would be perfect Lin but it will be interesting to see if someone like Patsy’s Damon creates magic.
Our lockdown restrictions continue Patsy and infection rates increased dramatically in my area after all the visitors during half term so I’m not sure when I’ll be able to enjoy a gathering but one day for sure.
Anne, I had assumed Harry had moved away but my goodness, he’s still moving out. Oh to be able to follow him to see where his possessions are being stashed!
The farmer has had a break and now back to cutting so I’d better do the same.
Don’t think I mentioned my chat with a solicitor. Very interesting and I’m armed for anything that follows!! Will expand on that later.
I thought of Sandy and hope she’s having a ball and winning!
Jackie0 -
Yes. lucky SANDY, and I bet she IS having fun.
Well another loads just gone off down the road. I hope the new neighbours wherever they are bound are as tolerant as I've been for over 30 years but I doubt they will have to endure as long because The Lad is 66. Mike suggests Canadian Tire for a flag and if I can't find a flag maybe a bottle of the strong stuff.
Its funny but many years ago before people stopped calling the town The Lad said to me "I'm going nowhere and I'll outlast you all". Well if I can hang on until July 1st ..... she who laughs last, laughs longest ..... you might say.
In keeping with the times I caught a bit of Judge Judy yesterday. The case before her was a long suffering guy whose fence had fallen down because his neighbour had propped a load of stuff against it, and nowhere near as much as I've had propped against mine. He won the cost of a new fence and installation. The problem for me is I'm English and in my day anyway we didn't go in for sueing folk. Not that I ever wanted to I hasten to add. The Lad was something entirely new to me!
Well hopefully alls well that ends well and I hope they are very happy back in their old area.

Hi, winning a little money. Going fo dinner now.0
-
Good evening. Just chores today. Absolutely nothing of interest to share.
Patsy, I hope you have made it through your zombie day. I also hope you will sleep tonight. ❤️
Sandy, congrats on winning a bit of money. I hope that continues.
Anne, one of these days The Neighbor will finally be gone. I really hope the next one is tidy and pleasant. Good job on getting a grocery order placed on the new laptop.
Jackie, I am glad you have obtained legal advice. It seems a prudent thing to do even if further battles do not ensue. Now hoping everyone stays where they should walk as the new (expensive) tiles are installed.
Apparently we may have temperatures around 105 degrees F tomorrow. Some storms may roll through before that in the early morning but no break in temperature is expected. It has been relatively pleasant this week but that is apparently over. Eeeck. That is really too hot.
Wishing everyone well.

It did rain! Not a lot but enough to give the garden flowers a smile. I’ve shopped at the local supermarket to stock up on fresh veggies and fruit but also bought rubber gloves and a cleaning agent so I am ready to get started whenever. Dave and Joe left me with the bridge to walk on but also a light and their boom boom radio blaring out in the other room! I messaged Dave to ask if it was safe to walk on the tiles in there so when he answered yes I became a contortionist squeezing through a tiny gap while balancing on the bridge!
The Calor gas replacement wasn’t delivered so I heated a pasty before painting the new loo. Quite a disturbed night with one of my recurring vivid dreams that always have me watching a plane in the sky suddenly taking a nosedive while I’m left with a horrible feeling of helplessness as I know everyone on it will die. Perhaps that hot pasty wasn’t wise !!
I’m astonished Anne that the Lad next door managed to sell with so much sitting in there piled high. As a buyer I’d be concerned what’s living under it. 😳 The solicitor I spoke to warned me boundary issues including damage to fences or hedges are notoriously difficult to settle so you were wise not to go down that route when yours was damaged being used to lean old wood against. No mosquitoes this year confirms your theory on that score too. I think you’re being very polite about him when you must feel relieved to be able to soon wave him off with that flag! 🇨🇦
I’ve received advice that because of the aggression aimed at me (loudly!!), avoid conversation with my neighbours but perhaps amicably tell them they need to check their deeds to ensure any new structure keeps to their side of the boundary. I could tell by his tone he knew he was being optimistic on that front so when I told him I’m not someone who wants to get embroiled in a litigation case because it goes against how I was brought up, his advice was don’t spend years and a fortune on it. Let them erect their fence but ensure it’s on their property because they do seem ignorant on property law.
I do so hope things improve next door for you once “the lad” drives away for the last time.
I skipped breakfast apart from a small banana in order to get out early to the supermarket so might try a low calorie fasting day. Shake off that pasty too.
Avoid that heat Lin. Interesting teapot with a Turkish influence. Sandy keep winning and Patsy get some sleep! 🥱
The rain cleared and sun came out for our doggie walk but more clouds appearing and a distinct nip in the air so I’ll sit in my garden room and ponder the Universe!!

Morning. I think the advice you got from the solicitor very good advice JACKIE. I never got involved with the Lad because he is big and burly and well over 6ft tall. Not a good idea for an elderly woman living alone. I didn't want Mark involved either because he is small boned and of a slight build, but no sissy. We weren't aware how bad it was either because the huge lilac shielded most of his antics before being hacked down. Its quite unbelievable the stuff being carted away and he's loading his truck again as I type. He doesn't have a cellar or basement so the shed must have been crammed solid. Also the big double garage. Mike and I think he can only have filled three of the four bedrooms to the ceiling. Not the brightest pebble on the beach and as Mark said he would have saved himself 8 weeks of hard work in the heat if he'd kept it down from the start. I have misgivings about the new folk if they SAW this stuff. but probably they didn't see it because he was bringing stuff out before they actually viewed. Maybe down the stairs and through the garage which COULDN'T have held so much. Remember we named it The Tardis.
Anyway. just a nuisance over the years and I got to see loads of wild life which I thought was normal at the time. The wild life have packed their suitcases and moved on but not the ants which I am sill battling with.
I guess I am very lucky to have seen so much variety in my life.
Anyway love, keep away from your male neighbour. He doesn't seem half as nice as the Lad!
Avoid men with bad tempers {my ex}.***
Anne and Jilly who I caught rolling on the grass yesterday and about to have a bath.
PS: *** Misquoting St. Trinians School Song.
If you want to live another day,
Remember girls its safer to simply run away!0 -
Here’s my neighbour Anne, surveying the digger and me, just as big and burly as yours. When he was yelling at me his face was purple and shoulders and arms rigid so definitely has anger management issues but strangely doesn’t scare me at all.
The whole family is creeping about avoiding me so I continue to enjoy my garden in peace!
My money is on a developer buying The Lad’s house so condition isn’t an issue. Wealthy folk whoever they are who will hopefully appreciate the vandalised Lilac!
My calor gas supplier just phoned to apologise there is apparently a shortage due to cylinders being used for oxygen and pubs burning patio heaters because they could only serve food outside. I’d left a message about needing to cook George’s special diet but if necessary would use my key to go into Debs and Louise kitchen and that’s what I did as the builders headed home. Relief all round that George will eat this evening while I continue on my salad diet!
Only grouting of tiles left to do then downstairs renovations finished. A couple of days next week to install the loo then I get my home back. 😁😆

Hello golden sneakers! I did get some sleep but I did not over do time spend lying about in bed. Must get to a few tasks in order to feel justified for a few hours in the dungeon. It must be my catholic upbringing. Built in guilt on virtually everything. Hahaha seriously!
John helped me out by picking out his own Father’s Day gift. A new razor. It is a guy thing, I guess. It is a power tool to use on his face! I have been trying to find an acceptable Father’s Day gift, something that wasn’t another doodad that is never used, worn, or looked at. Now for a menu that will please him. Hummmmmm salmon and some veggies or a salad. Or both or……
Jackie: Holy Cow! That digger thing has completely obliterated any sort of privacy or pease in your area. I am amazed at your restraint. I would be contacting my lawyer to send a letter of complaint and demand a property survey And advise him of my plan to erect a privacy fence. Along with a demand that he stay on his side of the property line. To show him you mean business! It is just horrible that you have to endure this especially sine you have been under such stress during the cottage refurbishment. My friend I hope you can enjoy your home in pease and goodwill very soon. You have been through a lot lately.
Anne: it appears you have had your own neighbor issues. Your neighbor must have suffered from that mental condition I have heard about. Extreme hoarding. To live next door to that must have been annoying and at times dangerous. Ants and other insects, not to mention mice and maybe rats and squirrels love to nest in piles of “stuff.” That can really cause problems for everyone near by. You have also been extremely tolerant and a good neighbor. I hate it when nice people are taken advantage of, I don’t think many people would try to be so kind to him.
Lin: you must protect yourself during these very hot days. Water! Stay inside, air conditioner on, also a fan if needed. Let us know you are safe and how you are feeling. All of us care about you and we know this heat is dangerous!
Sandy: hope you are having a wonderful and relaxing good time…also winning. Come back and tell us all about it. I understand you can’t take photos in the casinos.

Thanks for the photo JACKIE which gives us an idea what you are going through!
When the truck isn't on the drive next door you should see the grass and weeds growing through the pebbles that the Lad and the Missus had dropped on top of the full weed patch of a month ago.
The "little' lad next door took off with his daily load of treasures and Mark and Mary Jo turned up. The three of us spent two and a half hours cutting back all the trees and saplings down Marias side. Mark with his back last year and me with mine [sciatica} meant everything was terribly neglected. All shipshape now and it looks super. One tree cut down revealed the beautiful rambling rose planted by MJ and her mum when she was a little girl. The tree branches had hidden a profusion of deep red roses. Still a bit to do at the back but slowly we are getting there. The midday heat finally drove us into the air conditioning. Jilly sat and watched this in the shade and is now snoozing after her exertions!
.
Glad you had a good nights sleep PATSY. Thanks for the kind comments. It wasn't easy for either Jackie or myself living next door to these two idiots, and in the past in my case I was noted as house proud. one of my faults apparently stated by my ex
Water under the bridge and a new chapter about to unfold.
A very happy Anne.0 -
Hello! Yes indeed, it is over 100 degrees F today. We had a tiny bit of rain this morning and apparently this heat may stir up storms tonight. Fingers crossed that none are severe. I haven’t been outdoors since fairly early this morning. I did some more laundry and spoke on the phone with several friends. Nice long conversations.
Jackie, I understand what your solicitor said but keeping someone from encroaching on your property with a fence isn’t easy. Around here it would mean a surveyor would need to be called in to mark the property line. What a mess they were making with that digger. I might have exploded. Now the good news is, wahoo, they are relatively close to finished with your home project. I am sorry seemingly everything is in short supply. I never thought getting a canister of gas would be a problem. But when I needed that washer part, I had no idea it would take a month to arrive.
Anne, what a lot accomplished today. And a terrific find in that lovely rose. I think I agree with Jackie, the property may have been purchased by someone who will redevelop so were not concerned with any mess. Have you been hearing the stories of home sales in some areas of the United States where sales prices have been $1 million in excess of the asking price? My goodness! I cannot think of my hovel ever being worth anywhere near that much. (And it won’t be I am sure.)
Patsy, glad you got some rest and very happy that John picked out his own gift. Cannot beat that! And I have been safe today as I haven’t worked outside and the air conditioning has been working. Yes!
Sandy, I hope you are having a very good time.
Back to my card mess. I did finish the birthday card for my friend. I am now considering an anniversary card but am not certain I want to start that project. It would have to be mailed quickly. We will see.
Be safe everyone.

Well done SANDY.
Quickie from me JACKIE, just as LIN comments we paid for a surveyor when our fence was installed and all these years later the orange markers still exist! Interesting comments from you and Lin about a developer. I guess we will find out in two weeks time. It hasn't a basement as you know so the heating furnace is in a cupboard in the hall. Not exactly convenient. Apart from seeing the Lad from my side window the two are keeping a low profile it seems. No one came out for instance to say hello or goodbye when we worked in the garden yesterday. Maybe they DO know something, re developer, that we don't!
The house prices here are increasing at an alarming rate and its starting to cause concern.
Thunderstorm outside so all for now. More this afternoon are in the forecast.
Anne.0 -
A beautiful day with enough of a breeze to keep us from becoming frazzled, in fact on the top moor where I walked George and Betty it was blowing a Hollie so I wore my blue cotton hat to keep my unruly hair under control. My hairdresser is still trying to catch up after lockdown so appointments are rare. Lots of other dog walkers to chat to while my pooches sat patiently waiting.
My tiled floor is being grouted and after that just a couple of small jobs to finish downstairs then I’m sure utter relief will set in! Later this afternoon I’ll visit the allotment to weed and plant celery and probably share a bottle of wine with Debs and Louise… maybe go mad and indulge in a packet of crisps!!
As for my neighbours, they were certainly aware from my angry reaction to the digger destroying the hedge that I’m furious and once matey yelled lies and nonsense in my direction I was determined a lawyer’s letter be sent. The solicitor has no doubt seen it all before so was a calming influence advising me not to spend years wrangling with them but instead watch what they do next, try to ascertain if they carried out a survey (I know without asking although he’d say yes they did) and let them pay for fencing on their side of the boundary. I’m already planning to attach trellis to my side of it to grow wild roses and Clematis; maybe smelly Jasmine!
Well Patsy, wouldn’t you imagine a razor is a razor… apparently not! As you say, a guy tool so I’m sure John will be happy.
One of those years for me but I’ve come through the cancer surgery and 3 months living with builders who continually left the toilet seat up and confiscated any patch of floor space I thought I’d keep to myself so feel emboldened to deal with the controlling bully next door because I know I’m someone who bends and bends in order to keep the peace but snap in the end and will take no prisoners! 😉
Anne, perhaps your neighbours aren’t expecting fond farewells. I’m sure your flag waving will be enough to let them know how you feel! Hard work in your garden that must be so satisfying, especially uncovering the rambling rose. I love finding such treasures which reminds me I must pop to my wild bottom to see how the magical Passion flower is doing.
Welcome home Sandy and we’ll done on bringing your money with you! Will love to hear all about your trip when you’ve recovered.
Lin, it’s amazing just how many shortages there are and such a variety of things. My calor gas was finally delivered while I was out walking and when we got back Dave told me about the large number of builders supplies they struggle to source. Apparently bags of £6 plaster were recently being offered on eBay for £45. Goodness, doesn’t that bring back the horrors of finding hand gel and face masks plus of course toilet rolls!!
Jackie ( on her Passion flower search 🌺)0 -
Happy Friday! Meeting Lisa and the kiddos at a waterpark so again no time. They leave tomorrow so spending time with them before they go for a month. I will try to get back later but these days I am so busy my head is spinning.

One Day at a Time0 -
Hello everyone! It is a sunny day, I hope the heat doesn’t build up but right now it is blissfully cool. How can we complain? We are now Oregonians…we don’t like it when it is rainy but too much sunny and warm temps and we start wringing our hands and worrying about wildfires and drought. It is what we do!
Both John and I got our reports back from our twice yearly blood work. We did great. Good cholesterol and good blood sugar for me. It was a mini report but comforting just the same. We both need to buckle down on more exercises. Light Weights and more cardio. BLECK!
I am trying to make a couple of Father’s Day cards for John. Damon will not be coming until after July 4th. Andrea is still marooned at home. She has difficulty getting down the front steps out of her house.
I try not to think about that. It is terrifying. What if an emergency happens? Anyway, back to the cards, as Lin will attest, this is more difficult that you would imagine. They need to send the message and either be funny or sentimental…that’s why I need two cards.
Sandy: if you walked away with most of your money you are indeed a winner. Congratulations! I understand you are still sunny and hot. Do you buy sun block by the gallon jug?
Jackie: at last! Your little home is yours again. I am sure you will be planting some green leafy screening to keep out the sight of your neighbor. The leaves will also help absorb his ugly sounds. I understand your nature to try to accommodate difficult people. I am a champion at that. But John will you that I do fume and fuss a lot. One thing about dog ownership, it teaches everyone to keep the toilet lid down. A lesson learned early on. You can almost tell if a guy owns a pet by his habits.
Anne: it has been an interesting activity for you to watch the unfolding drama next door. Guessing what comes next is almost like a real life Agatha Christy novel. Mysteriously intriguing.
Off to the dungeon for card making. Wish me luck. Celebrations are quite small here but heartfelt!

NEWS. READ ALL ABOUT IT!
My neighbours leave on the 6th July. They have bought a small house "up north". The new neighbours are a young couple. Also the people next to Darren are leaving in July and have sold to a young couple. This leaves me as before the oldest resident on the street living in the oldest house because.......drum roll.......
the other side of Harry has been bought by an East Indian, the agent is an East Indian and the architect is an East Indian. They have applied to tear down the dear little bungalow and build bigger and upwards at which point I guess it will be sold for an enormous amount of cash.
All this was told to me by Maria because I am so clueless to what is going on! but explains why I keep getting phone calls from East Indians wanting to buy my place.
Trying to catch JACKIE with this news before she goes to bed.
Annsie0 -
Well, what news Anne! Thanks for letting us know and glad you were able to get so much information from Maria. She is really tuned in to the neighborhood. Wow.
Patsy, congratulations on your good news from the lab. Well done. Oh my, 2 cards that have to be just the right image and the right tone and must be ready for Father’s Day. You will be busy. Or maybe you’ve finished them already? Decided to give up on the anniversary card project for just that reason, I wasn’t confident that I would hit the proper tone for these people.
Jackie, glad to hear that you had lovely weather today. I watched Max, Harry, Paddy and Kerry go for morning and evening walks in the Lake District. I love to see the dogs frolicking about. Such good boys. I do enjoy the videos.
Sandy, still running! See you sometime this weekend.
We did not get rain overnight or this morning. By late this afternoon, a number of plants on my containers looked half (or more) dead. I guess I will need to water at least once every 24 hours given our weather conditions.
I spoke with several friends today which was nice. I signed up for some additional farmland seminars in July and August) and am considering other educational opportunities that are springing up.
Hoping everyone is safe. See you tomorrow.

Wonderful news Anne that you’ll have new young neighbours. You’re so young at heart I know you’ll get on. Having a property between you and the new development will hopefully shield you from noise and dust but anyway, so exciting to have so much about to go on around you!
I did laugh that Maria mentioned a “small house” that Harry and spouse are moving into. We’ll probably never know where his rubbish ended up. 😆
I love that gorgeous teapot Lin. It would match my newly covered chairs and planned colour scheme in my dining room perfectly.
A slow start as I begin to wind down, not that the building work is quite complete but oh joy, I can walk into my cottage using normal routes and not clamber over clutter.
Must walk the pooches before what looks like rain clouds do their worst.
Back later but had to congratulate Anne on her marvellous news.

Thank you Thank you! and I'm back to my benevolent self! I do honestly wish my "old" neighbours all the very best in their retirement.
Its going to be HOT today but I hope Bean and I can get out to weed the gap between my house and fence on Harrys side and make us shipshape. It rained all day yesterday but despite quite a downpour all the small trunks. leaves, weeds. twigs etc disappeared in the garbage truck. Getting back to normalcy and you might say a big plus!
Lets see what today brings, and so happy for JACKIE and well done PATSY and John. That teapot would be perfect for Jackies brand new dining room LIN!
Bye for now,

Happy Saturday! Another rushed morning as I am trying to get to Ewok as soon as possible. They left early this morning, I think around 5am and he wouldn't come inside so they left him out. It is still nice out right now but going to get hot so I don't want him in the heat. I have to throw a bag together for items until Monday afternoon when I donate blood. Bryanna will take over from then and I will help if she needs to go somewhere besides school.
The waterpark was great, I had never been there and the kids had a great time. There was so much for them to do so we stayed for a few hours before coming back here and eating dinner and watching a movie. It was a great movie on Disney+ called Luca, so cute.
Anne I agree, great news with young neighbors, I get along with young people so well, especially if they have respect for their elders. Jackie glad things are almost done and you can maneuver better through your house.Lin It is very hot here also, in fact I am bringing my swimsuit and lounge chair to sit in their yard, I might even fill the little pool. lol Patsy great job with the blood tests keep up the good work.
Haven't seen anything from Bob, did I miss him posting? Have a wonderful day and will be back tomorrow.
Stay cool and stay safe.
