I hope you all are having FAB_U_LOSS days my friends!
I had an awesome workout at the gym with my daughter tonight! I am feeling more energized every day! And I am sooo excited to be DOING THIS!
aaliceinw~That would be awesome! The more support we have the better off we are!

Megan~ I had somebody send me a msg saying they couldn't find our group. So I sent them a invite. When I asked the admins...they said you just have to scroll through but the ability to search by group name was supposed to be coming soon. For now you have to scroll but some people don't want to scroll and scroll.

No that's ok...we just want to give anyone that wants the support and wants to be supportive with us a chance to join in case they can't find us! The more of us there are the more chance at success we all have!!!

I've got a job now and my day last longer now! How weird this is!
I like my job so far, today i've discovered a man that sells sandwiches and salads, so if i won't be able to prepare something for myself i can always buy a salad
My resolution was not to eat after 9 P.M. and it's going quite well.
    I'm eating every 3 hours ( if it's possible, if not, then it's 4 h. )
And my NEW resolution it to be more active on MFP, because i feel that You deserve more attention! Last few days i was absolutely absent

@FindingCindy721‌ Thank You so much for your message, It felt great to know that someone cares about you! I hope You're doing GREAT!

Thank You all for being here for me! <3

Congratulations on your job! How nice that you were able to find healthy food out if you don't have the time to pack your lunch. You are doing awesome on your goals. Way to go!

Hi all just checking in on baby steps. Last week I tried two new things. I ate a larger breakfast, and I changed my activity level from sedentary to lightly active, which increased my calorie allowance.

It certainly helped me manage my hunger levels but sadly I gained back a couple of pounds this week.

So... Back to the drawing board! The next couple of weeks I'm traveling for work and so my baby step for this week is to just make healthy choices on the road and maintain my current weight.

Thanks everyone! Slow and steady wins the race!

Barlovo. Well done for your baby steps. You may have gained because of muscle mass increase. Increasing calorie intake is necessary if you are exercising more but the ratio of carbs/protein/fat will need to be different. If you eat less, it is discouraging and tiring and harder to sustain than if you eat right for yourself.

Your new baby steps to continue make healthy choices is perfect to help you understand what is working and what is not working for you. If you can afford it, have at least one session with a dietician. Also check out TDEE. This is what is working for me. I increased my daily calorie intake, try to reach my calorie goals everyday and eat much healthier than I have eaten since I left France 15 years ago.

I agree with Alice, dietician or nutritionist can set a perfect calorie level for you based on your actual activity, body composition and nutritional needs. I know subsisting on 1200 calories a day at this point is not realistic for me. This way I get to ease down as I lose weight & I don't feel like I'm starving all the time, so it's actually obtainable.

I did my weekly weigh in this morning and I am down to 246. I have lost 45 pounds since Oct. 1. My baby step for this week is to learn the correct form for the dumbbell workout I am just starting. I would love to lose 5 pounds this week. But I know slow and steady wins the race so I will just do what I have been doing.

One of the fitness instructors at my gym has a great motto for you, mysticlizard: "you didn't put it on in a day & you're not going to take it off in a day!" As much as this statement grates on my nerves, she's not wrong. Anything worth having is worth waiting (and working!) for!

Is there a difference between a dietician and a nutritionist? If so...which do any of you use?
Last year my hubby was diagnosed as pre diabetic. They sent us to one...can't remember her title but she was USELESS. Had us sit and read a nutritional pamphlet. Suggested some foods to give up...very generically with out asking us what we usually used or ate and dismissed us. Went back one more time...the appointment was just as useless so we stopped going. They are considered a "specialist" so the copayment is higher and it was a colossal waste of money! We got NOTHING from it. I did some research on the internet on my own and we embarked on the healthier life style. He lost 65 lbs in 5 mos and I lost 40! Then life happened and we both gained MOST of it back! :\ This time it needs to be a PERMANENT change!!! I AM DETERMINED!!!

The lady I work with is a RDN (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist) and a CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator). I love her, she is really a great health care provider. I would say that you probably got a dud when you went Cindy. Every HCP is different, I've had tons of patients tell me that if I had been cleaning their teeth the whole time they'd have had it done 2X a year their whole lives instead of dreading going to the dentist and waiting until it got really bad. I'd look again at your list of providers and then go on a review site like Yelp or healthgrades.com and find someone who has great reviews of being really in touch with and listening to their patients. We have 2 providers at my work & one is really great & the other is meh. I've made sure to schedule all of my appointments with the really great one because she really listens & makes great suggestions and knows what's realistic & what isn't. I don't need someone to tell me to eat smaller portions, I know I need to do that. I need someone who is basically going to baby step me through this process & give me good ideas on how to keep going when I just want to say "screw it!" & eat a dozen cupcakes. Don't give up just because you had one crappy provider, these people have all the tools to help you succeed, you just have to find the right one for you! :D
