Before low carbing it, I was always thinking about food, thinking about my next meal, overeating in case I had to go too long between meals, sneaking food because I was embarrassed, etc. It's amazing how free I feel now. I can actually leave food on my plate now. I can go hours and hours without thinking about food. I feel alive and free and in control and it's wonderful.
This was totally me before finding LCHF. Yay, us.3 -
I have two consecutive off days tomorrow and Friday, I think I'm gonna go see if I can run an 8 minute mile on Friday. I think I can. When I was in high school, even running every day in wrestling practice, I never got sub-8 minutes. Now, at 41 years old, I'm pretty certain I can do it.

My H hasgone to see his sister, who is currently unwell. While she was preparing to go to a clinical appointment, my H took a walk down the street, and chanced by a Charity shop. In he went. And bought a pair of designer jeans for a pittance, but more importantly, they were 3 sizes smaller than any other trousers he currently owns, and they fitted perfectly. I'm so proud of him, guys, I can't tell you; I never thought I'd see this day....19

NSV today I was able to fast for over 24 hrs.15

This morning I did another 20km ride on the (currently indoor) bicycle, then followed that up with a 2.8km walk outside through the park and along the bike paths.
Most of all though -- I feel fantastic.
Don't remember the last time I could say that without being ironic or sarcastic.10 -
The seats at church are a little more comfortable today. They're theater seats, rather than pews.8

I wore my "some day I'll fit into those again" jeans yesterday...and they fit comfortably...with no muffin top while standing at all. These were my mother's Calvin Klein's. Size 12. I know that's not small, but seeing as how I was stretching out size 18's six months ago, this is huge.
I called my mom and cried.
I'm not even close to done yet, but this is something I just can't even grasp yet...I feel like it wasn't real.18 -
Yesterday - Nothing sweet, no chocolate, no stevia . . . on a SUNDAY. First day down, 29 to go. . .10

When you make it 30 days, you will be amazed at how much better everything tastes. I remember how strange it was when I realized celery is actually sweet. When you aren't bombarding your taste buds with things that have been artificially sweetened, real food really tastes so much better.6 -
Someone in the gym today said, "Hi Skinny". Had to look around to see who he was talking to and then realized it was me11
-
I didn't steal any french fries off of my BFs plate!! Further more, I had absolutely no desire to steal any12

Had to wear my warmer jacket yesterday for the first time in a couple weeks and I noticed the sleeves were baggy. I had to keep hiking them up.6

I went to the store yesterday to replace my size 12 shorts that were seeming too baggy. I fully intended to buy 10's, but it turned out I needed 8's instead!15

A HUGE NSV for me I'm almost to my half way mark! I looked at my ticker this morning and it's almost in the middle! I'm so excited about this! I've never weighed this much, or should I say LITTLE in my entire adult life...

Congrats everybody. These are great! This thread is always a great motivator for me.cstehansen wrote: »Yesterday - Nothing sweet, no chocolate, no stevia . . . on a SUNDAY. First day down, 29 to go. . .

So true! The veggies that are actually fruits, like peppers, cucumbers, squash, and tomato, taste much sweeter to me now. I can see how they are fruits.2 -
A friend who I haven't seen since the winter holiday season stopped by today. She immediately commented on "how thin you are getting." Not in a negative way either. She ask what I am doing I told her low carb, healthy fats, eating steaks and bacon without guilt. She laughed and said "I could never give up pasta and bread, but good for you." This is one of the reasons why we are friends.8

Had physical therapy today, and my PT was showing me her new kayak she bought. We were chatting about it and she mentioned that they come in weight limits. I must have looked disappointed, because she said, "trust me, you'd have NO issues fitting in the standard size!" Was nice to hear. :-)10

My vegetarian wife, who really used to be more of a pasta-tarian, has really come to love spaghetti squash. There was a time when pasta was a part of 5-6 meals a week for her. Now, between zuddles and spaghetti squash and other foods I have introduced to her, I think she has had pasta 2-3 times in the last month. Those were at restaurants where options for her were limited, otherwise that would have been zero. She is by no means low carb, but she has gone from about 75-80% carb down to 40-50%. More importantly, the QUALITY of those carbs is drastically improved.13 -
All the ladies in my office just had a discussion about how they wish they 1/10th the will power that I do as one of our associates just sent us a giant box of different kinds of popcorn (cheese, caramel, caramel and chocolate) and it has just been sitting out all afternoon.
I of course have not touched a bite and they can't keep their hands off of it. They are very jealous!10 -
Instead of rolling over and going back to sleep this morning I did a Leslie Sansone mile. The fun part is I did it naturally and didn't have to force it.9

One of my female officers told me today I was "looking banging," and a couple of my male officers have been flirting with me more. :-)8

My school gave us a cookout for teacher appreciation week and I only ate the hot dog, burger, and some strawberries without struggle to not get other stuff12
