I got my hair done today and my stylist kept gushing about how long and healthy it has grown in such a short amount of time. I got comments from random, new stylists at the salon who were walking by, and a couple of them mentioned how it's so hard to achieve "lustrous, healthy-looking blonde hair."
Winner winner! Keto is the best11 -
A pair of brand new slacks and new bra that sat in my drawer of clothes that I bought too small now fit! if this keeps up I'll have a whole new wardrobe in a couple of months. (I was in denial of my true size for a long time lol)10

I tried on some of my dress pants today (I normally wear skirts/dresses to work in the summer) and they are all too big. Looks like I'll have to buy some new pants for this fall/winter for work! And I think I'll need a new bra soon as well! Woohoo!11

I started a keto diet 3 months ago as a tight size 24 (I think I really was an in denial size 26). After loosing 53.4 lbs and 40 inches, I am now wearing a size 20/2x outfit to work today!26

I have a few!!!
I didn't buy any carb filled foods at the store. Aside from the healthy fruits and veggies of course.
Soda has been a huge weakness for me. I've been battling for months!! Tea isn't enough of a deterrent especially cause I end up drinking more than is healthy (I think I'm suffering consequences now).
Diet sodas have been a challenge cause I don't much like the aftertaste (I've bought smaller bottles of a few kinds to try). Now the victory part! I tried diet cherry Pepsi and fell in love. I don't even miss normal soda.
Lastly, my eating was extremely well done today. My macros were close to goal! Carbs nice and low, even though I splurged on some cocktail sauce with my shrimp heh.
None of these are body wise, but the kinds of foods I eat and the balance has been my more recent struggle.9 -
Awesome!! Congrats to you all.
@MyriiStorm Those numbers are going the right directio now!...

Have you tried carboanted water? I find carbonated water with some lime and a dash of salt helps with the pop cravings.... Somewhat.4 -
Total NSV: I am apparently fully "indoctrinated" to this WOE. Even my "cheat meal" yesterday ended up low carb: I had half a sweet potato with butter alongside dinner last night (Uncle Chris prepared his famous barbecued chicken thighs). Even with the non-LC barbecue sauce AND the sweet potato, I came in under my carb goal for the day! I hadn't even planned ahead, as I'd not known in advance what dinner was planned to be! I wanted the sweet potato and decided that it was worth it, and to not be rude I did not pull out my phone and enter it to check prior to eating it - I just ate it and enjoyed it, and when I entered it later (even being generous in my guess of the serving size I had) my dinner still came in at only 37g carbs. Higher than 90% of my dinners, for sure, but since my daily goal is 65g at the moment and my day's total came in at 61, I call it a win. Plus I slept better last night than I have in many, many, many nights.9

@Phrick That's one of the things I've read lately about carb management - that if you're going to do a higher carb meal (like yours, for us) to do it at night when you'll have the most intelligent insulin response AND it will help sleep quality!!!6 -
They had this jalapeño cheddar popcorn that I love on sale at the store I was at yesterday. Guess who didn't buy any.... That's right THIS GIRL12

Try finding a jalapeno cheddar popcorn seasoning and sprinkling it onto microwave cheese crisps or pork rinds! Bet you'll be in heaven, @TishaGettinFit !5

My NSV this week is that I am on vacation in Florida... My kids have had ice cream, cake for my son's birthday, fried, breaded fish and not only have I had zero problem passing on those things (honestly it's not even an effort after over a year of this) but my husband passed too! He did eat French fries and bread on his burger though... Lol
Anyway, my only indiscretions have been alcohol, which I haven't ever eliminated but usually limit.
In other NSV news, my daughter (T1D) had a check up at the Endo and her A1c was 6.9. Down from 7 a couple months ago even though she's been a big cheater ever since getting that good report last time! As a Type 1 diabetic, that's a pretty awesome number! I know it would've been even lower if she stayed consistently on plan, but she's 21 and honestly, after how sick she was for the last few years, I'm thrilled that she still eats low carb even half the time and getting those results! I'll take it!
I don't ever want to see her weighing 98 pounds at 5'6" and an A1c of "greater than 14"!!!
I had to edit to add this photo.
On the right she was sick and underweight with out of control blood sugars.
You can see that bottle of Bai in her back pocket is about half the size as one of her thighs!
On the left, though you can't see much, her eyes aren't sunken and her cheeks are full and she's back to health and about 30 pounds heavier!25 -
My NSV this week is my shorts are loose!! Lol.6

LOL Teens eating GF who normally don't... That will be fun.
Have a good trip.

Another small NSV today! The family went to yogurty's this afternoon and it wasn't even hard to not have any. I just had a Coke Zero while they all enjoyed their excessively candy topped frozen yogurt... It's all about the little victories right now!12
