For the first 3 weeks, I couldn't see any changes (shall we say impatient? Lol! I mean everyone else at least loses water weight! )So, I took measurements. Then, this week I measured again.....and I lost some inches! 3 1/4" overall....3/4 inch off my waist & 3/4 inch off my hips! Yay!11

Wore some ripped jeans out dancing Saturday night and my thighs didn't bulge out the holes like sausage when I sat down the way they had in February which was the last time I had tried those jeans on.8

This past week, I dropped into a size 6 jeans. In the last 3 months, I've lost only 6lbs, but almost 10 inches all over. Some of my floppy arm batwings have gone and the sponginess around my middle is going.16

Total weight is what people get wrapped up in. Body composition is my thing now. It has been two years of work
The number on the scale is muscle weight not total weight
Low Carb has been the best plan to add muscle, lower fat, and be in the best shape of my life at 55.

Just had a great NSV today - have a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to get into for about 5 years, but always kept them hoping one day I would achieve the weightloss I really wanted and decided to try them on this morning and they fit comfortably - I still have a long way to go but the fun thing is now, when I lose more weight its going to get expensive, as these were the last size I actually have in my closet so anything from here on downwards will have to be new or from the charity shop - first time in so long that I can say that - am over the moon14

Wonderful accomplishment @Kathrout1973!! Don't forget about thrift stores for "transition" clothing!5

yep will definitely be looking in those (they are called Charity shops in the UK)4 -
Went for a plane ride. For the last 20 years I only took an aisle seat so I could "overflow". This time I got asked to move to a window seat, not only did I fit comfortably, but I was able to slide my way there gracefully.14

I left food on my plate, might not seem much to you, but since a child I have had it instilled in me that I need to finish the food on my plate, that I should think about the starving children in Africa that would love to have my leftovers. So being able to leave food behind and not feeling guilty about it, is a massive step for me.16

I did a 3 mile hike today with a 610 ft incline and barely broke a sweat. A year ago it was a struggle for me to walk around the grocery store.15

This is my new goal! I have just gotten over the hip pain that I believe was caused by statins (which I stopped taking after reading several threads in this forum).
But, back on topic, my NSV (so far) is lower blood sugar and lower grocery bills.6 -
You guys are all awesome.3

Realising today that I'm actually looking forward to my lunch and dinner and a feeling of acceptance and reassurance that I know thats all I'm allowing myself to have. Just a general confidence that I'm in this for life now.3

Loving all the NSV's everyone is sharing. Inspiring!!! WTG ladies and gents!
Recently, I was able to fit into a pair of jeans I could NOT (in any flattering way) fit into four weeks ago. The jeans are not my favorite pair, I still categorize them as my "temporary" clothing. My "temporary" wardrobe is there to get me by until I fall back into my FAVORITE clothes. Mini rewards!9 -
I have been on "vacation" since June 27, first at my grandmother's house, now at my in-laws' lake house. (I say "vacation" because I am a SAHM and one of my favorite sayings is that for SAHMs "this isn't vacation, this is traveling for work!") Anyway, vacation is usually my downfall - that, and social situations. I haven't been tempted to go off plan at all this time, and I'm confident that I can stick to LCHF through the end of July (the end of our trip) and beyond. Happy Dance for permanent change!
Everyone else's NSV's are inspiring too!7 -
Awesome NSVs.
I finally got rid of my fat clothes. The 14 and 16's are gone. Most of the 12s too. My weight has been creeping up on me a bit and I don't want to give myself any excuses to allow that, so once my 8s and 10s are too small... well, they better not get too small.
LOL @redimock My husband doesn't understand why I don't consider camping and travelling as a vacation either. I'm a SAHM, and we homeschool our kids, so they are usually with me. Plus the kids and I must eat gluten free due to celiac so there are very very few restaurants or relatives who can cook safely for us. I have to cook and bake while we travel, plus all the packing and cleaning before we go. A vacation is usually MORE work. LOL6 -
Finally fit into my old favorite jeans again! Officially a 35 waist again7

For me a great NSV has been that I can finally have other goals and priorities than losing weight. This year I even made a new years resolution that was different than losing weight.
It's nice to focus my attention on making other dreams happen, knowing that the weight has been lost. That there is so much more than that. It is very freeing, and can even be so much fun.
