I decided to start a new thread, for the easy stroll that is phase 2!

I'm back at it today. Obviously I took yesterday, my 50th birthday off.

Today:
B: whole grain toast with peanut butter
S: olives

Haven't figured out the rest yet! Must go to the market.
I want to make a 3-4 bean soup like this:

    In the end I made a version of a five bean soup and grilled some chicken sausages. Enough soup for lunch all week!

    Yesterday looked like this:

    B: scrambled eggs, Ezekiel toast, butter, V8
    S: green smnoothie
    L: refried beans with salsa verde and light baby bel melted in...veggie burger wrap
    D: baked code, brown rice, grilled asparagus and sweet mini peppers
    D: tea, pistachios, fresh strawberries and ff reddi whip

    So far 50 is great!
    Today's plan:
    B: yogurt/PB/chia
    S: string cheese
    L: beans, chicken sausage, spinach
    S: hard boiled egg
    D: a bit warm salad hubs is making
    D: small green smoothie

    My menu for today is not that great:

    B: grilled cheese using Ezekiel bread and low fat swiss, v8
    L: Amy's light and lean bean and cheese burrito, small honey crisp apple
    S: yogurt and strawberries
    D: no idea
    D: pistachios, tea, and not sure what else

    Apparently I need to get to the store...AGAIN! :(

    At work...did much better today...got some sleep.

    B: 3 eggs one yolk, toast and butter...love that ezekiel toast and butter...love love love...and v8
    S: green smoothie...sleep and a green smoothie is the ticket...
    L: homemade bean burrito ...cheese and apple
    S: nothing
    D: veggie burger wrap
    D: pistachios, tea, strawberries and FAGE.

    L: big salad with chicken, no dressing
    S: nearly naked popcorn
    D: a slice and a half of Whole Foods pizza (whole grain!) in my meeting

    Today's plan:
    B: yogurt with gogi berries
    S: string cheese
    L: rye crackers, peanut butter, apple
    S: string cheese
    D: mapo tofu

    Instead of just calling it a wash when things get a bit wonky, making the best choices possible is super duper wonderful. I love it. Cuz things happen.

    L: veggie burger wrap beans and salsa
    S: yogurt strawberries
    D asparagus peppers salmon
    D: strawberries and ff reddi whip and pistachios and tea

    Yum! Hubs made a delicious casserole this morning with cauliflower, broccoli, barley and a nice light sauce. Lunch was yum!

    D: spicy tofu with 1/2 cup brown rice
    D: 2 glasses chardonnay

    Exercise was one hour on my bike. New record for me.

    Not finished with menu...but pretty standard stuff from me...I just love it so much, hard to get away...I mean, I really look forward to my toast and butter in the morning...I eat the eggs first and then for "dessert" have my toast...so so good.

    Yesterday was my actual birthday party. I didn't really consider what I was eating. Didn't do too badly though!

    L: left over grilled salmon and baby sweet peppers, cuppa tomato soup, small honey crisp
    S: yogurt, almonds, jam
    D: tacos made with Ezekiel corn tortillas and extra lean ground turkey
    D: pistachios, tea, yogurt bar

    I have lost 7 1/2 pounds thanks to you, Sabine...and me...thanks to both of us. <3<3 I have a ways to go...but I am getting there.

    My sweet mom loved sardines, too. Hmmm, maybe there is something to them.

    It sees it as an emoticon, suddenly.

    I changed mine to Di and De since it sees the D and a colon (:) as a sad face.
