Still not where I want to be food wise, but taking baby steps. Just found out some really bad news yesterday but there's always a silver lining from a situation, right? I'm trying not to stress about everything and work on what I actually can.

Everyone else sure looks like they are making really good choices! It's all mind over matter, one day at a time <3

    Today's Menu:

b two hb eggs mashed with avocado and salsa, coffee
l rice (last time for a long while)...chicken salsa
    s olives green drink
d kale salad and veggie burger
    d dark choco tea

    Went shopping for protein yesterday...

sirloin steaks, ground turkey, wild caught salmon, boneless skin less chicken, veggie burgers

Lunch for first week will be taco mason jar salad...breakfast SB quiches. I am so ready to do this. I am also thinking of zip fizz early in the day*...I need a way to get in more veggies...thoughts?

I just can't drink too much...real issues about getting to the bathroom too often with this new job.

*maybe instead of at breakfast have it about 11:30...make it up early, put in water bottle...drink it up and then I have lunch at 12:30...logistics...ugh.

My goal during the work week is to take all decision making out of the equation...I just want to go on auto pilot and and DO IT!

You're so organized. How about snap peas or something as a snack?

I'm thinking eggs and veg, or egg cups for breakfast
snap peas, broccoli, string cheese and nuts for my snacks
salads with sardines or other fish for my lunches
and lean meat/veg for my dinners.
    SF pudding for desserts

Jello makes a pre-made sugar free chocolate pudding. I like that, and sometimes like that with a little peanut butter in it.

Quick question for you guys. How important is portion size for things like homemade soup, hotdishes, homemade dressings, etc.? I know there's some general guidelines, but I was just curious.

There are certain foods that must be measured...or are supposed to be measured...dressings is one of them. Unlimited foods do not have to be measured...as in unlimited veggies.

More later...hitting the bike now. I see you joined us on the P1. YAY!

I'm up but not moving very fast...getting over to the bike ...not feeling it this morning...only thing that keeps me going...knowing it is the weekend and a bit a cardio now will make it much more enjoyable.

    Menu...back later.

I was slow moving this morning too. I ran yesterday, so today was a walk to work day. I managed that. And Pilates at noon. Menu... later.

Last night I made a bet that I could just have my Healthy Choice Fudge Bar for dessert and NO pistachios. I did it. Will do it again tonight. Think it might make a deference.

The back to P1 reboot did it job...no more cheese quesadillas for breakfast. No more jasmine rice. I was eating way too much.

I am not into egg white omelet made in a round kinda dish in the mic for 3 minutes. Turns out perfect. And I make one for work and eat it cold. Tastes fine to me. :o

B egg white omelet with mushrooms, mozza, canadian bacon, salsa and a coffee

    S 3 cuties

L big salad with dark leafy greens, steamed asparagus, sugar snap peas, cherry toms, avocado, chicken apple sausage- grilled and cut into bites and Newman's Own

    S garlic jalapeno olives, apple

D whole wheat pasta, turkey marinara with lots of mushrooms, dark leafy greens, Newman's Own light Italian.

    D HC fudge bar.

It was tough going to sleep with practically no snacking after dinner ...but I did it. Now to do it again.

Hope you are enjoying your REST day...you earned it. <3

    I'm hope from my trip!
Back at it (best I can with jet lag) this morning.

    Today:
    Br: quest bar
    sn string cheese
lu kale and chick pea salad
    di: tofu stir fry
de: NOT wine (after my trip)

As always, I did pretty well on the trip by simply following the SB guidelines. If it wasn't on the foods to eat least, I didn't eat it, with the exception of having a bit more fat (regular sausage etc.) but that's the norm for me.

On phase 3? I don't see that as a problem! I bet on burrito days I get at least that many.
I don't consider SB to be a low carb diet.

    Hope she does well!!

oh, wait, did you mean to say phase 1?
I still would't count carbs, but yeah, that's probably high while eating the phase 1 foods.
