Hi, guys. Afraid I've been AWOL for a couple of days, at least in my reporting. I've stayed on the SB program, though, and I think I'm doing well, thanks to you two.

    Today:

B--V8 juice, Bran Buds, banana, skim milk
    L--spinach salad
D--small green salad, chicken in tomato sauce, cauliflower "mashed potatoes," pear
    Snack--cantaloupe and cottage cheese

    Today:
Bone broth, then some eggs (really off breakfast right now, not sure why)
    sn: string cheese
    lu: same ole burrito!
    sn: apple
di: it's friday, so probably out, and probably a caesar salad with salmon or chicken. and wine.

I'm being very good about cutting out weekday wine!

    Sabine,

Congrats on cutting out the weekday wine. I guess that comes back in Phase 3, huh?

    Today for me:

B--V8 juice, Bran Buds, banana, skim milk
    L--spinach salad
D--small green salad, chicken in tomato sauce with shredded, melted skim mozzarella, pear
Snacks--cantaloupe and cottage cheese, pistachio nuts

Some repetition, but less time in the kitchen :D

I finally started doing the exercise part of SB this week. I found the walking part easy, but with the core exercises, it was much more difficult to master the instructions (not so much to do the exercises). It took me a long time, and I didn't get through all of them on my first day. I would do part of an exercise, then have to pick up my Kindle to read the next part, then put it down to do the exercise--very time consuming. Do you record the instructions? I'm thinking if I create an audio, the process would be easier.

Didn't post for a couple of days, but I've been staying on the program, which I'm finding relatively easy. Here's today's menu:

B--V8 juice, Bran Buds, banana, skim milk
L--Provencal White Bean soup, low carb whole wheat wrap with roast turkey, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, roasted peppers
D--large salad with romaine lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, Laughing Cow cheese wedge, hardboiled egg, and pear for dessert
    Snacks--apple/mozzarella stick, pistachio nuts

Question--have you made the Provencal White Bean soup from the Supercharged book? Last time I tried it, it tasted good but came out too thin. This time, I used less chicken broth but came out with less soup (duh!). Any suggestions for thickening it in a SB-appropriate way?

Hmm, I haven't made that soup, I'll look at what's in it.

We make SB friendly soups all the time.

    You're really doing great!

Been a while for me, but I've been pretty faithful to the program.

    Today:

B--V8 juice, Bran Buds, banana, skim milk
L--Large kale & mixed lettuce salad with carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, Laughing Cow cheese wedge, hardboiled egg, radishes, cucumber
D--salad, shrimp and scallop saute, barley, cauliflower and broccoli, pistachio nuts, pear
Snacks--apple/mozzarella stick, plain yogurt with a clementine

PS I don't like raw kale, no matter how good for me it is supposed to be. I'll finish the rest off tomorrow.

I tried something new this morning--I ran out of my usual Bran Buds. I made oatmeal, which I hadn't tried in several decades. It was awful. I know it's healthy. I put in a banana and sprinkled some cinnamon on it. That made it barely edible. Any suggestions to make it more palatable?

You won't agree, probably, but peanut butter is my favorite addition to oatmeal.

Thanks. I'm not a big peanut butter fan, but I will try walnuts next.

Nuts are great! I also sometimes use sugar free pancake syrup.

Thanks ladies. So today is day four since I made them. Hoping they hold up. The big reveal will be at lunch. I do prefer the bolthouse blue cheese to honey mustard. I bring the avocado separate in a tiny container doused in fresh lemon to keep it bright Yesterday's was completely fresh and crisp!

I am using some help from trader joes. It's their pizza bambino formaggio. Maybe one day I will be organized enough to make my own. For now. These work

    S. One fruit leather
    L mason jar salad
    S. Fresh carrot orange juice that I make
    D. Pizza trader joes. Bambino formaggio
    D. Sweet freedom ice cream

Not completely SB compliant ...just trying for progress not perfection at this time

Today will be a challenge for me. We're going to my favorite Italian restaurant for lunch. Haven't been there in a couple of years, but I think I will be able to handle it (fingers crossed). As Magic said, "just trying for progress, not perfection" today.
