BTW here is an article on Smart TVs that may help You understand why I am not interested in them.

    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/technology/senators-ask-ftc-to-investigate-smart-tvs-for-invading-users-privacy/
Senators Ask FTC to Investigate Smart TVs for Invading Users' Privacy

Many internet-connected smart TVs are equipped with sophisticated technologies that can track the content users are watching and then use that information to tailor and deliver targeted advertisements to consumers. By identifying the broadcast and cable shows, video games, over-the-top content like Netflix, and other applications that users are viewing, smart TVs can compile detailed profiles about users' preferences and characteristics. Recent reports even suggest that smart TVs can identify users' political affiliations based on whether they watch conservative or liberal media outlets.

    Good morning!

I did not get done near what I wanted today. Where does the time go?

Interesting articles! Especially about the smart TV's. Shades of Big Brother...

I have a Remington 6 shot revolver which looks like an old west gun. At the moment I have some hollow point 22 cal bullets in. Just what I had on hand...

I gave my rifles to my son....

The snake is winning 2 to 0. He showed up today again, slithered thru my breezeway to my carport. He was on the cement, so could not fire, obviously.. He slithered off again. May May had alerted me by the way she barked. After checking the yard, I let her out this am, knowing she would bark, and she did. He showed up around the same time, 1 to 3 pm. He is as big around as my wrist. He was coiled twice around yesterday, but today I only saw part of his tail end, so not sure how long he is. At least 4 ft, I am thinking, or more...On the other hand, we are still safe, and I got part of the carport cleaned, so I consider that a win. lol... :#

I need to put the doggie door in for the night. I do not want him in the house!

The humidity is awful here..in the upper 80's with dew points about the same. Miserable!

Your Chinese place has a very wide variety of things! Probably all too tempting!

I need to get serious again myself! Take care all! .. Jan (being careful..)

Oh Jan — that snake incident would terrify me. So glad you and May May are okay. My antenna is the Mohu Leaf. Roger - I’m sure we need at least 300MB: 6 cell phones, 2 iPads, and 5 computers going constantly! Today is my birthday. Em and I got our eye exams. Her eyes are same as last year. My left eye astigmatism is worse but otherwise things are the same.

I have now posted more humor FWIW

    Hi
I'm back from walking and once again no cents. The Temperature out the door was 72 degrees and still not comfortable walking due to humidity. If I said I am tired of all the rain and humidity...
The Skies opened up yesterday morning after I was back home from walking. I thought I had felt a few drops as I walked up the block to house and shortly thereafter, Heavy Rain. Then in the afternoon the sun came out and it was a beautiful if humid day. Likely the humidity was worse due to the rain drying off into the air.

I am undecided whether to mow the lawn today or tomorrow or split the mowing between the days.

Ah, that old standby the 22 caliber, What kid back in the 40s and 50s didn't shoot one ?

    Circuit Judge carbine.

Taurus makes an 18.5in barrelled carbine variant of the Taurus Judge revolver along with its partner company, Rossi. The carbine is known as the Taurus/Rossi Circuit Judge.

I suspect that my brother would have been looking for a long handled rake to use on the snake...

True You have all those devices, OTOH unless they are downloading something or streaming something they should not be using much bandwidth, The most that they should be doing if unused is Downloading OS and Antivirus updates IMO. I could also be wrong.

When I had my eye exam this year one eye was the same and the other needed a slightly stronger lens. The Eye doctor said it was not a major change and if I wanted to I could keep using the old glasses
Despite being cheap I got a new pair since that gives me a spare pair just in case. I was able to get the same frame too. This frame is so comfortable I don't really feel the glasses when I do wear them. Mainly a little weight on the nose.

    Happy Birthday

Because my sprinkler system is down, i was hand-watering the front yard. I noticed a hole...and thought of Jan’s snake. As i watered, out popped a creature! I was beyond relieved to see it was a frog or toad and nit a snake. Then I washed Lucy in the driveway. She’s the 50-pound border collie/german shepherd mix. OMG ...fur, fur, and more fur! She’s dry now ... and im still brushing out her fur with gobs and gobs and gobs of fur still coming off.

No snake today. I was not home during those magic hours. I kept May inside. Bless her heart, she was in for church, lunch and small group. She did fine though...

Interesting piece on those guns, Roger.

Really bad day eating lunch and small group. Got into chips at home. Always a downfall. I must do much better come Monday.

I love to pet and clean dogs when you get loads of fur off! Clean up is a pain and it sure is messy and endless. That must be one happy dog though, Val!!

    Hi
I'm back from walking and once again no cents. The Temperature out the door was 78 degrees and uncomfortable walking due to humidity.
Last night at 10PM it was still 87 degrees and the temperature never dropped that much IMO.

I decided to mow the lawn Sunday, was out the door to mow at 8AM and ended up soaked with sweat.

    Hi Jan
I was talking to my Brother and he mentioned these which You might find these interesting.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_shot
Snake shot (AKA: bird short, rat shot and dust shot) refers to handgun and rifle cartridges loaded with small lead shot. Snake shot is generally used for shooting at snakes, rodents, birds, and other pest at very close range.

The most common snake shot cartridge is .22 Long Rifle loaded with #12 shot. From a standard rifle these can can produce effective patterns only to a distance of about 3 metres (10 ft) - but in a smoothbore shotgun this can extend as far as 15 metres (50 ft).
    And further on that page
Both Winchester and Federal make star-crimped .22 Long Rifle snake shot loaded with #12 shot. These cartridges resemble traditional crimped blank cartridges.

CCI is by far the largest single manufacturer of snake shot ammunition, making cartridges in .22 Long Rifle, .22 Magnum, .38 Special, 9×19mm Luger, .40 Smith & Wesson, .44 Special, .45 ACP and .45 Colt.

I thought the Carbine was neat looking too.

Chips of all types are a weakness of mine too

No snake yet today. Maybe the neighbors catercorner behind my woods got him yesterday with all their shooting...During my nap time...lol... The first three shots could have been a kill, then pause...then the practice. We are vigilant though.

For all your humidity...you should find change as a reward! :D

People do not understand Europe where many places have no air conditioning at all. In the U.S. most people may run in and out of the A/C, which is very different than never cooling off at all. Some places do not even have fans, as just several years ago it was never that hot for more than an occasional day. The news guys on a local station were laughing as we are that hot, and in triple digits at times. And I am laughing and somewhat peeved that they are in full suits and ties, working in their A/C and will go home in the A/C cars to their A/C apartments, but were ignorant in their remarks... I am hollow reed.....Stress blows straight thru me... :*

Not sure if they make shot for a 22 revolver...

    Hi Jan
I love the regular Potato Chips and slightly more the rippled ones, nice and crunchy.

I have been having a bit of a drought finding change :(

I did not know that the AC use was like that in Europe so expecting someone that reads a teleprompter for a living to think...

The snake shot was just a stray thought, I guess it would depend on whether the revolver is chambered for .22LR ammo.

    Enjoy the humor

    Hi Jan
Yesterday was a lost day, My brother returned from a meeting with Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Rippled Potato Chips and a Ham & Cheese on a roll, Poor me, I suffered through having the sandwich and some of the the three others. I'll likely pay for it today.

I had noticed that the Sun is coming up later and setting earlier too, Oh well.

And yet Wells Fargo is one of the banks that did not a bail out as I remember it...

We had a small shower come through in the afternoon, Other parts of NJ got a lot more rain.
The Heat Indexes for the area I am in were 101 Tuesday also, Not that much better than Yours. I could feel it when I went out the door for the mail.

The walking was slightly better today as their was a little bit of a breeze, still not good however, Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I have drunk black unsweetened coffee for many years, On occasion many, many years ago I also would put enough Cream and Sugar that it was of a liquid Candy Bar than coffee.

I worked from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm (including breaks for driving, chatting w people at office, and meals). I’m still tired. White Sands had sledding but it was too hot for us. My doggos don’t jump on people. Oscar (my big one) eats 3 cups of kibble daily (across two meals). The medium ones (50#) each eat 1.5 cups daily. Spike (8#) eats 1/2 cup daily. I’m so tired.
