    Hi Val

    Hello!

Almost felt human again today. Still a little stiff and sore. The climbing on the table was about as uncomfortable as her pressing that ultrasound wand to reach my heart. I am a little sore from that too, believe :# it or not!

I ate easy to digest thing today. Tomorrow is all clear liquids. Hope I can do that, lol...And the prep.. @ bottles mixed with just 6 oz. each. Much better than that 2 gallon jug.... :)
    Hi Jan
That load of liquids was always the worst part of a Colonoscopy. I'm guessing that @ 6 ounce bottles means 2 of them as the @ is above the two ?

I'm sure You are happy that the Stiffness ans soreness is abating.
Interesting article about the old city in Kansas. There is so much we do not know. You have to just love it when people think they have all the answers...I can sympathize with both sides of the little house issue. I do not think I could live in those smaller ones. That is pretty small. It would be nice if they would buffer the neighborhoods with some parks and forest....

I have to admit I pick pretty fruit and veggies over the ugly. But I would not and do not throw it out...I bet if they offered it next to the pretty and a discount it would sell. Better than waste. Especially if it is cut up, then you can not even tell. ..They may taste more authentic!! :*

Some sprinkles today. And a small less humid front expected. Welcome!!

Take care all. Val, my daughter swears by her neti pot!! ...Jan

I thought that was interesting too.
Agreed I feel for both sides of the small house issue. People do need affordable at the same time I would not want my property values degraded by being next to them. It is a tough issue as I see it. Parks could work, but at the cost of land I can also see where they would hate to loose the square footage to build on.

Ugly Fruit, You might find this article interesting

Why supermarkets want to sell you ugly fruits and vegetables

Americans throw out about $165 billion worth of food every year.

Lucky You less humidity, ours is going back up even as starting Thursday the overnight temperatures are lower.
The overnight temps are the important ones for me as I get out before sunrise most of the time. It is quieter and much less traffic to look out for.

    Have a Nice Day

I didn’t realize i missed a day, sorry. Today has been really rough. Ignis mauled my chihuahua spike. Emergency surgery and $900 later he’s home, and just sits crying. He’ll live in Em’s room until healed AND till Ignis goes home. I’ve always fed Ignis separately, but Spike found a stray piece of kibble and that set him off. While at the e-vet, Em texts that she needs to come home from school because she can’t stop vomiting and crying. I told her she had to wait until Spike was admitted. So, then i got my kid. Then took her for hearing exam. Fortunately same level as previous. Vet isn’t sure that there’s no lung puncture. Didn’t see or hear any, but severe swelling, so, could get worse. I’m so wiped out. AND... I need to work tonight.

    Hi Jan
Sadly I use Amazon too, One reason is the depth of products, another is I prefer not to spread my Credit Card info all over the Internet by avoiding them. Now if my Bank(s) would just offer a One time Credit card such as I have heard of from others. Generate a one use number would be much safer.

IMO that is a somewhat weird breakfast, Chicken Stock ?

Classless is a complete understatement, fortunately some of the men were smart enough to not participate when they saw the setup.

I have done that too, usually I catch it, not always however :(
I am interested in hearing what that is that is so much easier so I can store that information away for the future use.

The weather this morning while walking was great, I could see that there had been some rain, whether it was only from yesterday evenings rain or more overnight I'm not sure. It looks dry outside, OTOH I do see a few drops on the windows have now appeared. I may run to the Grocery Store later, that sort of depends on the weather as nothing is critical so if it does rain I will avoid driving in it.

Less Humid here to for a couple of days at least

Yikes that looks bad with all that bandaging. I'm sorry to hear that happened to Spike.

Company Is Offering ‘Fur-ternity Leave’ for New Pet Owners

A Minneapolis marketing company recently made tweaks to its employee benefits this summer, ranging from conventional to unusual. It gave workers a larger commuter stipend, as well as a reason to avoid the office altogether: “fur-ternity leave,” or the ability to work from home for a week to welcome new dogs or cats.

Em is all better. Spike is doing well but a long road ahead. Vet says 2-8 weeks for full recovery. I spent 4 hours last night lying on the bathroom tile floor so Spike could cuddle with me without my lift him. I’m old and fat with GERD and a hiatal hernia...4 hours was too long. But he appreciated it! Tonight I’ll take Oscar’s bed and Oscar into Spike’s bathroom to sleep. I’m so tired! Everything else is stable. Ignis will go home after their house inspection and appraisal. Hope nothing interferes with the sale of their house! He’s a beautiful dog, but that will make my life easier and i need that.

    Good morning!

So sorry about Spike, Val. I just get a pain in the pit of my stomach thinking of it. I still think of Chester and how some unforeseen incident can happen. So happy you can cuddle and help him heal. I pray all goes well, quickly. What a day you had! Glad Em is better. <3

So glad the colonoscopy is done. I can tell I am 11 years older than last time. It has wiped me out. Not so much the prep, and procedure, but the pro-papal they used. I was weak kneed and sleepy all day, and weirdly sore in my tummy- not colon. Put me out though! :# No twilight for me, lol...Had one polyp removed and to be biopsied, but the Dr said everything looked good. Hope so!

Hi Jan. Glad the colonoscopy is over and hope the biopsy results are good. It was nice to cuddle Spike on the matress. Unfortunately I then had my worst-rver GERD pain. So I’ve been up most of the night again. I’ve regained weight (again)....and my fat belly pushes my hernia up, increading GERD. I wonder about me often. I know i felt so much better without this extra weight...yet, here i am.

I did indeed post new humor already, Enjoy

    Hi
I'm back home from walking no cents. The Temperature out the door was 62 degrees and is now down to 60 degrees, it was comfortable while walking due to the the great temperature.

Today's to do list is sort the socks from the other days laundry. The only reason I need to sort is that despite looking the same when worn some pairs are shorter than the others  I thought I had bought all the same ones, Oops :(
What else, Shower, maybe vacuum the living room and of course eat

I did a quick run to the ShopRite yesterday and Picked up some really nice looking Baked Ham Ends at a good price and unusually for the foods in the ends section these are nice looking slices that will work well in a sandwich. Not to mention some real end cuts of Provolone and White American cheese that I may shred into the baked ham Sandwiches when I make them. I was early enough that they had just started to put out the Hot food bar items so I avoided that. Sadly the Siren call of two slices of Carrot Cake got me, Dang it, no won't buy power. I also picked up two 50% of prepared salads, One Chef and one Garden Salad.

When I did the Grocery Store Run yesterday outbound I had to swerve over to the curb to avoid some blind person driving that pulled out of a side street from the oncoming side of the road, I swear they never saw me and a Buick Century is not that small :( Then on the return to the house after studiously avoiding Buying French Fries and or Onion Rings at the Burger King another moronic driver, They must have gotten their drivers licenses from either a box of Cracker Jacks or a online Diploma Mill.

    Good morning!

Boy would my daughter love shopping at the "ends" part of your grocery store!! So would I, for that matter!

All considered, I think you did pretty well avoiding most of the temptations! I hope one piece of carrot cake was for your brother, lol?

The pro-papal is the new sedative they use, you know, the one Michael Jackson was abusing. It is actually a sedative and you no longer go under general anesthesia, so safer. (Do not try this a home!)..They said I might remember some talking or such or seem awake, but I did not. I was out like a light as good as the old stuff! LOL! Jenny drove me and stayed, and treated me to Shoney's breakfast when done. She also reminded me to take a thermos of coffee for when I got out..and I was eternally grateful for that!! :# I was totally wiped out the entire rest of the day and am still feeling like I just got over the flu...but okay. I am doing guest lunch this week end, so taking it easier today and am caffeinated! As I may be all week end, lol...

A friend from my singles group was driving the other night and suffered a heart attack. She is a big well known realtor around here, very nice, but she lived with a lot of stress and long hours. She was given CPR by someone in the car behind, and resuscitated by the paramedics. She may have been too long without O2, even with the intervention as she has not regained consciousness. Tough 24 hours ahead for her and family. I was shocked..and saddened.

We need to savor our life and take care of ourselves. And our loved ones.. <3

Val, I know how you feel. I am sorry sometimes May May does not have a younger person to get down on the floor with her. I wish I had tried harder when I was struggling around the 170 mark. And I wish there was more help out there that really addressed the can not get it off issues. There is not.. MAYBE that New Pill that Roger posted about, I hope!!! You get where you fight too many fronts!! Val, you are amazing and do such meaningful things! You are my hero!! :):):) Take care of you!!! <3

Hang in there!! Each day is new with nothing written on it yet!! o:) ...Jan

Great weather the last couple of days, Sadly the forecast is for another heat wave to see the month out as we head toward labor day.

Yesterday I could feel my fingers were cold believe it or not, today I remembered to wear light gloves when I went out the door. Currently I have the front door onto the porch open to get some nice cool air into the house.

I am switching to 1/2 regular black coffee and 1/2 Decaf
That was a good idea having a driver, Shoney's is a weakness of mine although when I was in them I bought the Breakfast hot food buffet and ate mostly Proteins. I love lots of bacon, OTOH Biscuits and Gravy, Yum Yum. Good Luck on a quick recovery for the Sedative. It does not sound like that much of an improvement over the old general anesthesia.

Each day is new with nothing written on it yet!! o:) ...Jan
That is a bad place to have that happen, The one good thing is that it did not cause a deadly crash too. I hope She recovers, sometimes the brain needs to rest to recover. Real Estate agents are not someone I associate with stress.

I Hope they fast track that pill too, It would make things simpler.

    Have a Good Day
    Roger

Hi. I’m feeling positive today. Time to get back to taking care of me! I love chickpeas cooked in the air frier after sprinking garlic and cumin. Easy!!! Tasty crunchy, and cheap. Before I went on vacation, doc had doubled my dosage of a PPI (for GERD/ulcers). It caused me severe muscle and joint pain within 2 days and rendered me unable to walk by the time we got to the Grand Canyon. So I stopped. I can walk!!! But the notable joint pain effects everything. Not just the obvious joints like knees, but all including each finger joint. Weird. Surgery may fix the hernia and insurance would pay...but having sepsis ince makes me terrified of ANY surgical procedure. I know when i had lost some of this belly fat, my GERD was much improved. So, need to see how well I can make myself before deciding if I need surgery. On my FB hiatal hernia group, many have said that surgerons recommend gastric sleeve at the same time as hernia repair. Again I’m terrified of surgerical “fixes” for infection or side effects. Spike is still doing well. Next hurdle will be Monday when his compression jacket comes off. Ive brought him back to bed with me...abd i clise the bedroom door leaving Ignis loose in the house. I was doing more for Ignis’ happiness than spikes, and I changed that. I’m not neglecting anyone...just ensuring spike and my needs are met too! Good nap. Took Em shopping today...she is really delightful. I enjoy her company. Here’s a pic of spikes smallest wound.
