    Good morning,

Today I went to lunch with a friend for her investment dinner. It turned out to be a good thing as legally there are still some things I need to do I may not have thought about. So at least it was not a waste of time, especially as I could not eat the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, fried chicken apple pie, ice cream and pecan pie. Dodged a bullet there. (unhappily!). I did have salad, pork roast and turnips. (nice buffet!) o:)
    Hi Jan
What a surprise with all the High carb foods, Not really, they are quick and easy to prepare.

Is the unhappily part the Turnips or did You use salad dressing ?

Nothing wrong with free foods and learning something at the same time. The first thing that popped into my mind when You said Investment Dinner was that she was being invested into a position or something like the VFW or Knights of Columbus.
We are expecting some storms during the nite. Hopefully not as bad as La., Miss., and Tenn are being hit. They look kind of wicked anyway on our new limited radar.

I am supposed to meet a friend for lunch Tuesday if the weather has passed. That is about 20 miles away, so do not want to be driving in bad weather. Hopefully it will just be wet by then..

I got phone calls from everyone I knew, so accomplished absolutely nothing at the house. It is kind of piling up a little. Just can not win. I am sure I would be missing these people and their various stories, but also love some peace and quiet! :#

Interesting articles once again. You sure do find them!!

Still trying to catch up on the humor!! Some real gems in there and got some good chuckles!!

    Have a great day!! ...Jan
I miss hearing some of the stories Dad and his brothers used to tell from when they growing up :(

As long as the house does not look like a hoarder lives there so what a little clutter is normal IMO.

I may have mentioned that many of the news I link are things my brothers finds, I filter out the Political Stuff since most forums Politics are forbidden.

    Enjoy the latest humor

Update on that school situation. Multiple witnesses stepped forward...it was not an assault. She consented, but lied to try to avoid getting in trouble with parents and school. The boy was expelled...his second time getting caught having sex during school. I hope she gets expelled for false police report!

    Hi
I'm home and did not walking as I decided to take a day off. The Temperature outside the door was 48 degrees. The rain forecast for yesterday arrived a little early, today is supposed to be better.

I suspect that there will a deadlock in Washington due to the election results, I hope I am wrong and the the Democrat House and the Republican Senate find a way to work together.

    That is so sad.

    Hi Val
Thanks for the offer, You remember correctly, I use a iPod Nano. I am not familiar with the shuffle, a little research is needed. If it plays everything shuffled around that would work for music, not so well with audiobooks. You offered it to Em ?

I will be restarting the computer shortly, Norton wants a restart to apply a update.

That is just sad for both of them. There should be some punishment for the false report I agree. Not to smart for the boy either, Does he end up as a registered sex offender now ?
The Teenage Boy was lucky that witnesses came forward, it is easier to sit on the sidelines and do nothing.

I would think something should have been done the 1st time that happened.

Em plays music on her iPhone, so doesn’t want thie Shuffle. The boy will not be prosecuted, so no legal issues. I’m livid that the girl would make a false accusation to save herself. The boy’s first known offense was last year, with a freshman...that girl has hated Em since 4th grade...we had hoped they’d get expelled then, but they didn’t. That encounter was caught on security cameras! I don’t know if this one is on tape or not.

    Hello!!

We got about 1 inch of rain today. I moved in all my plants I could to prepare for some low 40's Sat. and a freeze next week. They are much happier outside, so I hope they do okay.

I was good at the sports bar we went to for lunch. Skipped the breads and sandwiches and ordered a Mediterranean salad which was really good, lettuce, olives, feta cheese, cucumbers, tomato and onion. It did hit the spot. My veggies taste extra good, I guess due to no sugar for me. It allows the natural sugar of the veggie to really taste good!

I think I am actually home Thursday and Friday, at least during the day. Looking forward to that!!

That keto recipe looked good. I have seen him somewhere before. Probably from facebook and a keto site.

Val, just unreal about that kid. They do tend to not take care of a problem till it becomes a too much bigger problem, sometimes. I am amazed at people. Em does not look the kind of person someone should be hating for so many years..what is wrong with people?

Take care! Unusual for you to take a day off, Roger!! Hope you are not coming down with something!!

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 35. Wednesday and Thursday were both dry days, now we appear to be having two wet days with a possibility of Thunderstorms in the Evening. and raining Saturday Morning :(

Yesterday I took advantage of the nice warm day and went to the ShopRite grocery store and redeemed our $400 over a period of time for the free ShopRite Turkey up to 22 pounds. Since I found one that was 22.10 pounds I did have to pay the tiny extra for the .10 pound
We saved $32.78 plus the 15 cents I paid if I am reading the receipt right. We both figured get the biggest we could get in the free 18 to 22 pound turkey to have plenty of leftovers.
It now resides in the basement Freezer alongside my NS foods and other items. Next Item to be purchased for Thanksgiving will be my Brother Buying Fresh Cranberries for Homemade Cranberry Sauce, Bread Stuffing Mix, Potatoes, Celery, Black Olives, Sweet Gherkins and Carrots to go on a relish Dish. To be followed by Whipping Cream and Pumpkin Pie ingredients.

    Hi Jan
It is mostly cloudy outside and I expect it to get worse as the day progresses due to the weather forecast.
Wednesday and Thursday were really nice, Today and tomorrow since since today's rain extends into the daytime morning hours not so much. Yesterday I actually had the front door onto the closed in porch open getting some fresh air through the jalousie window or louvre window used in the porch.

I hope they taste good, Mine arrive today, If they taste OK I may spring for these to try too.

Miracle Noodle Gluten Free Ready to Eat Meals, Variety Pack, 4

    About the product
Contains 4 pack of Pad Thai, Japanese Curry, Vegan Spaghetti Bolognese and Thai Tom Yum

This recipe is in that link above
Vietnamese Chicken Soup - a Miracle Noodle family favorite
    Preparation:

    1. In a 3 quart saucepan, bring chicken stock to a boil over medium-high heat. Add garlic, ginger and cardamom and let simmer for 10 minutes.

    2. Drain the water out of the package, rinse the noodles in cool water for 10-15 seconds (the konjac plant aroma is normal and will go away fully in the next step). Put in boiling water for 2 minutes. Then dry the noodles by placing in a non-oiled pan on medium heat until dry. Divide noodles into two bowls.

    3. Add chicken to stock and let cook for 5 minutes (until completely cooked).

    4. Pour soup into bowls over the noodles. Divide bean sprouts between two soup bowls then top each serving with half the scallions and chili sauce.

    5. Garnish bowls with a slice of lime and chopped cilantro.

    Ingredients
3 cups organic reduced sodium chicken stock
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 tsp minced ginger
    1/4 tsp cardamom
    (1) 7oz bag of Miracle Noodle Angel Hair Noodles
1 boneless, skinless chicken breast sliced crosswise into 1/8 slices
    1 cup bean sprouts
2 scallions, sliced into 1/4 inch pieces
    1 tsp chili sauce (optional)
    1/2 lime, cut in half
    1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1/3 cup of mushrooms-any variety (optional)
1 thinly slice chili pepper with seeds removed (optional)

I fell like I can experiment now that I have essentially reduced my credit cards down to where I can pay them off every month and all that I need to pay is some recurring charges and whatever I try to see if I like it

Sneaky Calories is a understatement, I hope putting the meal in first works.

Forgot to answer why that girl who had sex at school has hated my kid since 4th grade...that girl is a manipulative drama queen and my kid called her out on it, and doesn’t play into it. That scenario her been consistent for 6 years so far! Lol.
Those are two things that are on my dislike list also. I doubt that girl will ever change, I pity anyone who she dates or marries.

    Thank You for the Answer
