    Good afternoon;
Irene-I am glad you are starting to feel better.
Roger-I wonder if the ‘spamusement park’ will be successful.
Vix-I had two Dr.'s look at me yesterday. They said the rash is probably from sweating, because I have not been wearing any antiperspirant under that arm. I still have a rather large cyst under my arm. I am going on Thursday to see the surgeon. I think I will probably have to have it removed. On a good note I went to the Urologist for my yearly visit and do not have to go back until next year. I feel like since I turned 60, I have been falling apart.

    Hi Joanne
Originally I read it as spam then I realized it was actually Spa Amusement park :)

Interesting, If just sweating would do that I would have had continuous rashes in the past when I was doing physical work outside in the summertime. There must be more at work there IMO. BTW I never bothered with an antiperspirant :)

I turned 69 this month and I do not feel as if I am falling apart, I Know I am not exactly what I was in the past, OTOH losing this weight has rejuvenated me in many ways.

Good Luck with the Rash & the Cyst.
    Congratulations on the urologist.

    Belated happy birthday, Roger! :)
Sometimes I feel like I'm falling apart, other times I feel like I'm doing pretty well.
Jo, hopefully the surgeon will be able to take care of that cyst for you. It really sounds painful and annoying. Congrats on the good news from the Urologist. :)
I'm trying not to worry about all the falling apart, and just take care of things as they come up.
I have dental surgery scheduled for next Monday, and can't wait for it to be over. One less thing to worry about.
    Irene, glad you're feeling better.
Have a good night, everyone. Sleep well.

    Hi
It was showing 54 degrees slightly warmer than yesterday. I walked 7.5K steps so far. I had over 10k steps by the end of the day :)
Yesterday was a little over 2 inches of rain and more forecast for later today, We do need it too.

FWIW It is now over 1.5 hours Since I filled the Yeti Insulated Coffee cup at the 7-Eleven and it is still warm enough to drink despite that I added a little ice when I filled it so I could start drinking right away. Cold Coffee is something I never have been able to drink.
Recipe to use leftover Turkey, a little late I know.

    Good morning.
Went to body flow this morning, acupuncture this afternoon.
Irene, sounds like you're really doing great...it will be wonderful to be back at 100%. :)
Roger, me too....do what I've got to do and then move on. Seriously, my goal is to laugh a lot for the rest of my life. If you give me your birthday, I'll put it on my calendar...that way we can catch you on the day next year.
Jo, good luck tomorrow with the surgeon.
My dental problem is with my implants. The bone has worn away, and I will lose them if they can't replace some of the bone in my jaw. It may or may not work. I figure it's worth a shot to try and save them. I went to the pharmacy yesterday to pick up my prescriptions...haha...I felt like I had bought a bag o'drugs! There were 5 prescriptions. I have to call the dentist on Saturday for further instructions on what to take when.
    Have a good day, everyone!

Roger-Happy belated birthday. If that little boy was really playing the piano, he is really good.
I love watching old movies. All the actors could sing, dance and act.
Irene-You must feel great that you are able to walk again without pain.
Vix-good luck with the dental surgery.
Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I am hoping the dr. can just drain the cyst.
    Have a good night. :)

Hope you get your new gas meter, Irene. Good job on the walking. Finally stopped raining here.
Jo, fingers crossed for you. I love old movies too.
Acupuncture is interesting....I am getting some relief over time. She did some more cupping yesterday to help loosen up some muscles. Seeing the chiropractor today...will see if he notices a change.

I managed to cut back to one drug a day with losing the weight :)

Roger...yeah, I'm not good with drugs. Don't usually take any. The drugs from the dentist are all temporary...antibiotics, pain, and a dental rinse. I can handle it for a few days/a week. Good that you're down to just one. Important to stay healthy. I think diet and exercise are the most important. :) You're doing great with that.

    Hi Irene
Is it time for the water meter to be changed yet? From what I have heard the meter must be changed every so many years. Ten years sticks in my mind. Did You suspect the meter was reading wrong or did PSE&G want to change it?

PSE&G changed the electric meter a while ago to a different type where I am and the Water company put a electronic gizmo on the meter in the house that lets them read it from the curb while driving by on the street. As long as they do not want to put the meter out by the curb since I regard that as a way for them to bill You if the pipe they put between the water main and the house starts to leak :)

    Have a Good Day

    Good afternoon;
After my dr. visit today, I am now on 3 more weeks of antibiotics. Last night after using hot compresses the cyst started to drain. Dr. felt it would be better to let it drain on its own rather than opening it up. Keeping my fingers crossed that this dose of antibiotics works.
Irene-I have an appt. next week for my gas meter and service line to be inspected. I guess it is a federal law. I do remember having this done in the past.
Roger-I only take omeprazole for acid reflex. I have talked to people I work with and some of them take 3 or more medications. My hubby doesn't take anything. I guess we must be doing something right.
Vix-Did the chiropractor notice any change? I am glad the acupuncture is helping you.
    Have a good night.

good morning, I had an awesome walk this morning I already have in almost 9 k steps. I all so took Annie for an afternoon walk yesterday she loved it the weather turned out really nice. I think the reason for the new meter was they are going wifi now so it will be easier for them. I guess they can now just go down the street and read it. As far as meds I not on anything except my inhaler hopefully that ends soon when ever I am on meds I always forget to take them. Vix I agree with you diet and exercise is the key.Today I am going to get my flu shot I always get one I know some people are against them but I get one every year and I have been fine. Today is also food shopping but I get there early and it isn't crowed.

Out the door today it was showing 40 degrees a significant cooling off from yesterday. I walked 7K steps so far.

Yesterday I found a few more ripe Raspberries. They just keep ripening from the fruit that set before it got colder :)

    Congratulations on the 9K steps.

I hope they do not decide to change the meter for that reason, However I suspect that based on Your report they will do it sooner or later. Hopefully in the the Summertime :)

FWIW I have not had a Flu shot in years and even working retail I managed to avoid catching the Flu. I hope that not meeting nearly as many people that streak continues. I am not against Flu shots Per Se, It is more that I am against having holes poked in my skin :)

My Brother is doing the ShopRite run later. I try and stay out of temptation city. All I really need is Bananas and they could wait until Sunday.

    Good afternoon;
I have been getting flu shots for a few years now. This year I am eligible for a shingles shot.
I talked to the pharmacist yesterday and she said I should wait until I finish my antibiotics.
Vix-I am glad the acupuncture is helping. May I ask, is it covered by insurance?
Irene-great job on the step count. :)
Roger-who would have thought that you would still be getting raspberries in December. :)
After work today I went grocery shopping, came home and made muffins for hubby and am now doing laundry and contemplating on writing out some Christmas cards.
    Have a great evening.

I get the flu shots every year for the past few years. I also got the shingles shot last year and the 2 pneumonia shots. Would rather be protected. I think they want you to be totally healthy when you take any of the shots.
Jo, you may have to look around, and I guess it may depend on what type of insurance you have, but I found an acupuncture practitioner that is covered by my insurance. Very lucky. :)

    Hi Joanne
I am surprised too, it is only 4 to 6 every few days but still ripening if slower due to the temperature.

I just ordered a $6.99 Instant read thermometer, this one. At the price and better reviews than some of the more expensive ones I decided to take a chance :)
    https://www.amazon.com/Anpro-DT-10-Instant-Digital-Thermometer/dp/B01HV5AL9G/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1480715403&sr=1-1&keywords=Anpro

I am feeling so much better I still have a little cough which just gets on my nerves.I didn't get to walk yet but it is early George wanted to get on the treadmill first which is fine with me. Today our plans are to go to browns mills need to close out the renters account where we have there deposit. Maybe we can walk around the lake it looks like it is going to be a nice day.

    Hi
Out the door today it was showing 42 degrees a slight warmup from yesterday. I walked 7.5K steps so far. I will be going back out in a while walking up to the bank when they open.
While walking today one of the Old Time Radio Shows I have been Listening to is the December 25, 1943 episode of command performance from here, it is the #2 show on that list with Bob Hope, Kay Kyser, Andrews Sisters, Jimmy Durante, Fibber McGee & Molly, Duffys Tavern and more :)
    https://archive.org/details/CommandPerformanceChristmas#

I need to adjust the audio level on some more of the Christmas 1943 radio shows since I only have one more left to listen too after I finish with the Command Performance I am currently listening to. I use a free program called Audacity to adjust the level so that they all play at the same volume. Otherwise I end up having to stop, pull out the iPod and adjust the level up for low volume shows or down for loud shows.

    Have a Great Weekend

    Hi Irene
It does seem nice enough until a gust a wind comes along :)

I find that getting out in the cold weather makes my nose run etc. Not real bad, however annoying as I have to keep clearing it.

Good Luck with the trip and other shots

    Hi Vix
Two pounds sounds like water weight mainly in which case I would not be worrying about it as once You get rid of the excess sodium that restaurant foods generally have You will be back down to normal.

I also find that starches and sugars cause me to retain water too. Example would be after eating the Pad Thai last weekend I jumped up over the next two days. Then lost it over the rest of the week again.

    Have a Nice Day

    Good evening;
Vix-Have a nice night out. I agree with Roger on your 2 lbs. being water weight. I am always
up a few after eating out.
Roger-good that you found a free program to adjust the volume. It would be a pain to have to keep raising and lowering the volume.
Irene-I hope you got your walk around the lake. It was cold and windy here today.
I got the christmas tree out of the attic, now all we have to do is decorate it. My daughter is coming over tomorrow to bake, so maybe she will help me.
    Have a good evening. :)

    Hi
Out the door today it was showing 41 degrees 1 degree cooler than yesterday, however the breeze has dies down so it was more comfortable. I have walked 7.8K steps so far. After walking up to the bank yesterday and some light yard work, I ended the day at 12,943 steps so I walked back and forth in the bedroom before retiring to be over 13,000 steps :)

While walking today one I finished one of Old Time Radio Shows I have been listening to the remainder of, the December 25, 1943 episode of command performance as linked yesterday and listened to Dinah Shore, Bob Hope, Jack Benny , Fred Allen and more. Then I listened to the Christmas shows from Nick Carter & Henry Morgan.

    Have a Great Sunday
