    Good morning;
Vix-I am glad you had a nice visit with the in laws and that the traffic wasn't too bad.
Did you have any snow? We had just a coating overnight and now it is raining.
Roger-How many batches of fruit cake do you make? I will be baking cookies with my daughter next Sunday. Most of the cookies will go my work, her work and hubby's work.
We will keep a few for ourselves.
Irene-I don't remember if you said, but are you moving to Browns mills? If so are you selling your current house or renting it out? Good luck with all your cleaning.
Today is my day off from work, but not from home. I have already made chicken soup for hubby ( he woke up with a sore throat this morning), strawberry muffins, wrapped presents, got the trash ready for collection and cleaned the upstairs bathroom.
I will probably go out and shovel the deck and driveway.
    Enjoy your day. :)

    Hi
Out the door it was showing 36 degrees, Starting at some point in the evening there was Snow falling that ended up at some point in the overnight hours becoming a steady rain. The rain appears to have ended now that I have returned :) I have walked 10.6K steps. Yesterday after getting back out to a local farm stand and a Kings supermarket to look around I was over 11K steps by noon.

I have just finished adjusting the overall level on some Old Time Radio Christmas Shows and synchronizing them with my iPod so I have more to listen to tomorrow.

    Have a Great Monday

good morning , shopping was good we got 2 new ones one is 55 inch and the other is a 60 one is for the living room and the other is for the tv room. We also stopped and looked at furniture but we did stop off at browns mills and measured the living room so glad we did because the furniture would of been too big so today we are going back to the furniture store and get it smaller and order it. We walked this morning wearing more clothes now winter coat gloves pull over sweath shirt but I was nice and warm. I did find 26 cents and did 8 k steps so I am doing pretty good . Wow you sure did get a lot done this morning. Roger we did see the curve tv not sure about it I guess if you are sitting right a cross from it ,it would be ok .

    Hi Irene
FWIW I regard the curved TV as somewhat of a Gimmick as I also do the newest 4K HDTVs. I hear they give a really nice picture, however My eyes would most likely not see the difference.

Not to seem nosy however I guess I may be :) What brand and price were they. As an Example: On Amazon I see this one. https://www.amazon.com/Avera-50AER10N-50-Inch-1080p-LED/dp/B013CR0KU2/ref=sr_1_3?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1481555974&sr=1-3&refinements=p_n_size_browse-bin:3578042011 However I have the 40" version and The inexpensive ones like this all have cheap tinny really bad sounding audio. I ended up using some computer speakers that had a sub-woofer with it to be able to listen to it with any enjoyment. I bought it despite the reviews that mentioned the abysmal audio quality as the one I bought had the connectivity I needed. Three HDMI, VGA for computer connections and a set of connectors for either Composite or Component video. The USB for images was not really needed as I can plug them into my DVD player and view them that way. Your needs were probably quite different. For Example I shun features like Roku and Smart TV internet connectivity.

You are doing good with your walking and finding money too.
good morning, well today is going to be a busy day I will be spending the day in browns mills I have stanley steamer coming at 9 to do all the carpets and then I want to start cleaning the bath rooms and start on the kitchen . It looks like I will be cleaning for awhile .I did get a little walk in only 4 k but I am sure I will be burning up calories today. AS I mention yesterday we got our tv's we also got the tv room and living room so I think I am all done with furniture .the nex2 weeks the stuff will be delivered so now all we need to do is paint and clean .

I used Stanley Steamer and found the price to be good and the service to be excellent. If I were keeping carpets that someone else had been using when renting I would want them cleaned too. Are You keeping any of the furniture? We had them clean the three living room chairs too.

    Have a Good Day

Good morning....wow sounds like you all have been busy over the weekend! So industrious!
We had a nice visit with my MIL and SIL. Luckily, the traffic was not bad, which is very unusual. :) We had Chinese food Saturday night which is always awful for me and hubs, but my MIL loves it and apparently waits for us to visit to get it. I guess because we order for her and pick it up! Next time, we'll just order steamed food for us.
I was happy to be home. Will probably go to the gym this morning, but not looking forward to it....haha....one week off and I've gotten lazy!
    Have a good day. :)

    Hi Vix
How nice that the Visit went well and traffic was not to bad too :)
Did You have any Snow where you were or are?

I agree, I always have a weight bump from water retention if nothing else after eating Chinese.

It does not take long to get out of the swing of doing something.

    Enjoy the Day

Hi again. We had a little snow shower while we were there on Saturday. It was pretty, but didn't stick (yay). It's been raining here overnight, and now down to a drizzle.
I did go swimming this morning, not bad once I got in the water.

    Hi
Out the door it was showing 32 degrees, I was just over 13K steps by bedtime yesterday. Colder weather ahead in the weather forecast. They are predicting a overnight low of 9 degrees and a high of 22 degrees for Friday as the arctic air moves in for three days heading into the weekend :(

I set the Yeti cup down with my hot coffee on a Wooden surface that had frost while I was walking. Talk about insulated when I picked it up You could not see any melting.

I am trying to adjust my upcoming order, the one that closes on the 23rd and the NS website is really slow this morning. I just tried a reload worked and that worked better. I have noticed a couple of new items since my last order FWIW. I just pulled 4 Lunch Bars out of the Basement freezer to use, such as the Strawberry Cheese Crepe & the Caramel Apple Muffin Breakfast, the Zesty Pizza Snack-a-Rounds & Pumpkin Loaf snacks + the Garlic Parmesan Snack-A-Rounds, The Fiesta Macaroni and Cheese and the Spicy Garlic Chicken Dinner.
I am changing it to close tonight so I can try these new foods :)

    Have a Great Tuesday

    Hi Vix
The snow we had here did not stick around either, The only trace I saw of it Monday was a little slush on top of one wall that had a portion above the ground where it could get nice an cold.

    Have a Nice Day

Going to play with clay this morning. I should have 2 new flower pots ready to take home from the kiln.

    Hi Vix
I forgot to mention above that I have 8.6K steps so far :) I am thinking about ordering electrically heated Mittens. These Electric had warmers work OK were they can go, however my Thumbs get cold as they do not heat into the thumb :( More expense on my part by not thinking it through when I ordered them.

The Coffee cup works really well, the only part that gets slightly warm is at the top where the stainless steel from the inside loops over top become the outside of the cup.

It was gray however I did just see some sunlight, whee.

Enjoy the Clay and the new Flower Pots

Roger-you are really upping the step count, good for you. Do the mittens run on batteries?
I have seen socks like that, but not mittens.
Vix Enjoy your new flower pots.
Doing laundry today and nothing else. I am going to sit and catch up on some of the shows that I have recorded. I fast forward through the commercials, so I can watch a show in about
    half the time.
    Have a great afternoon. :)

Sounds like a good day, Jo.
I picked up my flower pots, and made another one, and also tried to make a bird feeder...experiment, haha, I'll see how it comes out.
Electric mittens, hmmmmmmm. interesting. Sometimes my hands are freezing, other times they're exceptionally warm....I think my internal thermostat is screwy!
Going to meet a friend from work for dinner later. She's like a sister to me, so I'm really looking forward to it.
Enjoy your afternoon and evening. :)

    Hi
Out the door it was showing 35 degrees and I finished with 9.9K steps and once again no money, I was just over 11.5K steps by bedtime yesterday. Today's walk was OK for the first 2/3rd of it then I started feeling the cold, Tomorrow I may start out and pick up my Coffee and Boomerang back home depending on the Wind Chill, I want to finish my steps tomorrow as I suspect that Friday I may or may not leave the house. Colder weather is ahead in the weather forecast, Tomorrow is a transitional day with colder temperatures, unfortunately the description for Thursday & Friday is breezy with significant wind chills . They are predicting a overnight low of 9 degrees and a high of 22 degrees for Friday as the arctic air moves in for three days heading into the weekend :(

I see that my order processed last night. Hopefully it will ship soon so that I can try the new foods :)

    Have a Great Wednesday

    Hi Joanne
I did order the heated mittens, they are supposed to come with two rechargeable batteries that can be charged at the same time, one for each mitten.

I got back out with the car after breakfast and ran to the bank and stopped at McDonalds for a large Decaf :)
Therefor I am running late, for me, posting this morning.

I pretty much DVR everything I watch on the TV for the same reason. I will admit that every now and then a commercial catches my eye and I watch it, Once :)

The tree is up and between it and the decorations in the Living Room Picture Window They light up the room pretty nicely. I also ordered a set of three Remote control outlet switches as the Tree's plug is buried, so one is on the lamp, one on the tree and one used for the window decorations. Now all that is left to do is put the balls on the tree to complete it.

    Have a Good Day

    Hi Vix
My neighbor has a Ceramic Bird House that sits on the fence. I see the mittens are out for delivery via UPS today so I should be able to charge them for tomorrow.

I have been using the hand warmers for a while :) The Good, they help, the bad I still get cold Thumbs even with the Mittens. If I had my hands free then I could put the Thumbs with the Fingers and they would all be warm, however since I have things in both hands until I finish the coffee and free up one hand I just stop at a convenient perch and sit for a minute warming my fingers. Thus the electric mittens were ordered.

I find that how I feel is dependent on diet. As an example if I am on a strict NS diet for a couple of days I will feel cold compared to feeling warm if I have a lot of carbs for the exact same room temperature.

I hope Your dinner went well.

    hi all.
Roger, I have 3 ceramic bird houses outside. There are bluebirds using one of them. I'm not sure about the other 2. I love the bluebirds, they are so pretty and cute.
Hubby's new car has a heated steering wheel....that would be nice. Hope your electric mittens work well. :)
Back from body flow class, have acupuncture later today.
The sun came out here, but still cold and windy.
    Stay warm. :)

There were repairmen on the roof and they had the door propped open, so all the cold air was dropping down into our area.

    Hi
Out the door it was showing 30 degrees, I have walked 7,951 steps. I was out the door ahead of most of the breeze. It started picking up and I started feeling cold so I stopped at the Supermarket for a couple of Apples, more to warm up however :) Then on to home and when the wind was behind me I could feel it pushing me along. The direction of the wind is why I changed my usual route home from where I walked today.

The wind chills are forecast to hit sub zero in the upcoming overnight :(
I may go out for coffee tomorrow and then Boomerang back home if it is to bad out there.

It appears from checking the tracking that both the frozen and the ready to go NS orders are on the truck for delivery. I hope the frozen does not melt with today's heat wave. The frozen has been in transit since the overnight hours, 12:00 am Picked up, Bethlehem, PA :) and the ready to go was picked up at 4:02 pm, Picked up, Hagerstown, MD

I should be giving taste reports on the new food items starting tomorrow :)

    Have a Great Wednesday

Wow, Heated Steering wheel, I could see where that would be a nice feature in cold weather, not that any of us get that :) Is the seat heated too?

I will say that yesterday I thought it was cold, then today it was worse.

Enjoy the painting class and Whee, stitches being removed.

    Hi Joanne
They did not work as well as I had hoped :( Whether it was the wind or what I do not know. They had decent user reviews on Amazon so I plan to try them inside of my mittens when I head out the door tomorrow. I ended up using the high heat setting too, They have three settings. I could feel that they had warmth to them compared to not using them when I put my hands back into them from using my hands without them, just not as much heat as I had hoped. I think (Hope) that putting them inside of the mittens works and that I can still hold my coffee cup that way.

I want to get out at least a little bit Friday as there is bad weather in the forecast for Friday evening into Saturday.

The cashier at the grocery store when I stopped to warm up was bundled up at the register. I suspect that was from the cold breeze coming in as customers left.

Have a Nice Day & Stay Warm

I hope You stay warm driving there. Do You also do what I do with the car? I keep a Spare Blanket in it just in case.

Also as a stray thought, does the place in Browns Mills have a system to alert you in case the heat goes out?

    Hi all.
The perio just wanted to check on me...I won't be getting the stitches out til next week...it will be nice to get back to my regular dental routine. Also I have to stop using the rinse because it's staining my teeth!
Jo, glad your lump is going down...hopefully it will disappear before your next appt.
Roger, sorry the gloves were not all you hoped, but probably better than regular old gloves.
It was so cold here, I wore a hat...I hardly ever wear a hat!
Irene, funny you asked...I am making mostly flower pots in clay group now. I have a lot of plants that are growing and need to be rooted/repotted, and I will give them away in my pot creations. :) As far as all the paintings...there are a few hanging at the Sr. Center and I have about 6 hanging on my walls at home and some just on top of my desk or looking for a wall to hang on right now. I have a small portfolio, I may just take some of them out of the frames and store them away. The paintings on canvas are bulkier, so I may start a gallery in my basement!
    Have a good night, everyone.

    Hi
Out the door it was showing 19 degrees with a little breeze, Being crazy I walked 8.5K steps.

My latest NS orders were delivered yesterday. Between Wednesday & Thursday all the deliveries were weird. Wednesday UPS dropped packages on the unused side porch despite the label saying place inside front porch and on the front porch was a package via FedEx for the neighbor across the street and then on Thursday I saw the FedEx driver heading up to the neighbor across the street with my NS order. I am guessing that the cause is the Christmas Rush :)

I Will be updating the food reviews group here later
    http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/105887-ns-food-reviews
I have reviewed Four items already and more are started with information and no review so I can update them later

On the order delivered yesterday they substituted Chicken Tortellini for the Bean Bolognese :( I had ordered that as it could be used for Lunch or dinner so I;m not real happy about that.
Also I know I had ordered the Coffee Protein Shake, No Shake or substitutions. I suspect it has been Discontinued and as it was A La Carte they did not substitute for it. I will be calling later to check on that guess.

    Have a Great Friday

    Hi Joanne
The heated gloves worked better today even with the colder weather as I decided to put them inside the mittens I had been wearing. I was guessing that doing that, that the mittens would help keep the heat from dissipating and the keep the cold from seeping in :)
