    Good afternoon;
I got out of work at noon today and do not have to be back until Tues. :)
It was 8 degrees when I went to work this morning. I was so cold at work, I kept my jacket on most of the day. When I was getting ready to go home I realized that I hadn't worn my vest.
I think that would have made a big difference.
Vix-That is a nice idea, starting a painting gallery. My daughter has done something similar with the pictures she had taken.
Irene-sounds like you will have a nice weekend retreat.
Roger-I would rather NS sent me nothing rather than a substitute I did not care for.
I am happy to hear that your heated gloves worked out better today.
Enjoy the rest of your day and stay warm. :)

    Hi
Out the door it was showing 24 degrees with a little breeze, Being crazy I walked in the snow for 6.1K steps. That is 3/4 of my goal step count, however I turned for home when the falling snow started turning to rain. It looks like around 1 inch of snow. I geared up for the walk with Insulated Boots, Rain gear from head to toe.

My latest NS order had changes from what I ordered, All of the Protein Shakes have now been discontinued. They replaced the 2 Protein Shake Classic Combo-28 pack $51.50 I had ordered with TurboShake Chocolate and Vanilla - 28 packs $79.98. Needless to say I will not be reordering them at that price. I need to investigate and see if I got them at the old price vs the new price. Then also replaced the Bean Bolognese with Cheese Tortellini. I also did not get a replacement for the Coffee Protein shake as it was A La Carte and they had no direct substitute, I called and complained about that. It appears that I will be buying ready to drink Protein shakes via CostCo and the grocery store since two flavors from NS and a higher price too :(
Several items are showing Low inventory including the two that they substituted.

I Will be updating more of the new food items here:
    http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/105887-ns-food-reviews
I have reviewed Four items already and more are started with information and no review so I can update them later

    Have a Great Weekend

    Hi Joanne
How nice that You are off until Tuesday :)

I am different in that I would prefer them to call me and let me decide. I would not have chosen the Cheese Tortellini for example and would want to know if the price difference was waived on the Shake's replacement.

Was there any wind with that 8 degrees? That is around where our wind chill was the last two days. Today I was feeling a little bit overdressed for the temperature.

    Have a Good Saturday

    Good morning.
We have a light layer of snow this morning, and the skies are heavy and gray.
Roger, I wouldn't like them to substitute or charge more without letting me know. I remember them substituting a couple of times when I was getting NS, and it was usually something I didn't especially care for. It's good you have found some store-bought equivalents.
Jo, so glad you have a nice long weekend!
Irene, it's nice that you have time to fix up your house.
I'm planning to stay in today, at least til it warms up or clears up. I have packages to wrap, laundry to do, things I can straighten up or clean or put away, books to read, etc.!
Went off plan when I went out last night, so up 3 pounds this morning...it will take a few days to get back to normal.
    Have a wonderful day.

    Hi Vix
It appeared to be around a inch of snow when I was out walking before. I am guesstimating as I did not have a ruler with me however.

I believe my plans going forward are to keep my NS plan for the extra 20% discount off of list price and delay each order for three months and mainly get the NS snacks A La Carte for the entire period. I am dropping their now overpriced Shakes from my Buying as Now they are not a reasonable price compared to to CostCo prices and Protein Shakes from the Grocery store. So that will be 28 days of Entrees, and 84 days of snacks and the rest of the meals from usable alternatives. Oh Well...

I plan to stay in for the rest of the day too now that I have walked outside. I may walk back and forth to reach my step goal. from one corner in the front of the house diagonally to the rear corner :)

I bet that most of that 3 pounds is water weight, The rapid gain indicates that to me.

Have a Nice Day, Stay Warm and comfortable

Oh definitely. I ate things I shouldn't but kept in my calorie goals. It'll still take a few days for it to go away!
We just had enough snow to cover the roofs and streets and sidewalks and spatter the lawns. I thought it would melt by now, but it hasn't. It's only up to 31 at the moment, but supposed to go up to 35 by 2p.m. and 45 by 9p.m., so I'll just wait. Don't have to go anywhere.

    Good evening;
Roger-It was very windy yesterday. Today we have snow. It was enough that we had to get out the snow thrower and shovels. Tomorrow it is expected to get up into the high50's and rain.
My daughter and I made 4 different kinds of cookies today and will be making 3 more tomorrow. I am also going out to brunch with my niece and her family on Sunday.
Vix-Those 3 lbs. will be gone in a few days. Sounds like you had a busy day.
I sent out the last of my christmas gifts today for my son and family. I am now done.
    Have a great evening. :)

    Hi
Out the door it was showing 36 degrees with snow still on the ground and sidewalks in places and of course Fog with visibility of 0.3 miles according to the 6AM News12 Weather report. I walked 8.5K steps and 2 cents as well as stopping at the Grocery Store for 3 Bananas and 3 Pink Lady Apples + 1 Honey Crisp. A little before I hit the Midpoint of my walk it started drizzling and by the midpoint it was raining steady and continued for the balance of my walk.
Tomorrow may be different as it is supposed to be much colder overnight and if things do not dry off they will be ice and I am not crazy enough to walk on ice.

I Will be updating the food reviews group here later

I will be updating the last Two new items that I received in this last delivery.

    Hi Vix
We all eat things we know better than to eat. As an example I am in the mood to go to the dinner today as it is Roast Prime Rib day :) However the car is somewhat parked in as it is in front of my brothers newish F150, new to him anyway and his car is at the street end of the driveway. He plans to run it until the gas in it is nearly used up since he paid for that gas, Then off to the Knackers Yard.
    www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Knacker's%20yard - Cached
As an English colloquial expression, it is used to describe a person or object that is spent beyond all reasonable use, as in "He is only fit for the knacker's yard".

We still have some snow on the lawns and sidewalks where they were not cleaned or the streets where there was no traffic. The Slush :) was somewhat crunchy underfoot if I had to walk on it as the ground was bitter cold from a couple of days of 10 to 20 degree overnights.Looking out the window it appears that the rain has ceased.

    Have fun running around

We did shovel the sidewalks and some of the driveway as well as clean off on of the cars yesterday so that that in case of need one car was ready to go and so that the Mailman could safely deliver the mail.

All those Cookies must have kept You busy.

Congratulations on getting everything shipped early enough.

    All the snow is gone.
I had a great time yesterday with my niece and her family. They will be going to Florida over Christmas, so it was nice to get together with them.
Today I am stuck in the house, between 8-12, waiting for the gas company to come and do a safety inspection. It is a federal law and has to be done every few years. I hope they come early as I have a few errands to run and I like to get it done early before the crowds come out.
    Enjoy your day! :)

Jo, glad you saw your niece and family for the holidays. Not fun to be stuck in the house.
    Hi Irene and Roger. :)
I'm going to swim at the gym this morning, and I have a massage scheduled for this afternoon.
I started using my prescription eyedrops yesterday. I get a bad tasting lump in the back of my throat from them so far. I'll see how it goes.
It's still dark here, and supposed to be cold today...so bundle up and stay warm.
    Have a great day! :)

    Hi
Out the door it was showing 26 degrees with a little ice still on the ground and sidewalks in places where it melted Yesterday during the warmup where parts of NJ got up to 60 degrees. I walked 8.6K steps and 1 cent so far, yesterday I reached 11K steps by the end of the day.

I have finished updating the food reviews group yesterday with the last of the new NS foods
    http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/105887-ns-food-reviews

Fast… and furious: Car owner fails in desperate bid to stop his £270,000 Lamborghini being smashed to pieces in Taiwan because it was fitted with fake plates
The Lamborghini Murciélago is thought to be a custom LP 670–4 SuperVeloce
Its owner was pulled over back in 2013 at a routine police checkpoint by officers
Supercar was found to have the registration plates of an £18,000 Ford Sedan
Authorities decided to completely destroy it to avoid illegal parts being sold on
The custom Murciélago - though to be an LP 670–4 SuperVeloce - had been impounded because it was being driven on a public road without a valid registration number in 2013.

After three years of appeals, the government decided to demolish the luxury car in front of horrified onlookers.

Interesting state law. I do not think NJ has such a law as I do not remember ever having them come out for a safety inspection.

    Hi Vix
What I did on Saturday & Sunday when I was short steps was X walk in the house, Or to put it another way from the right front room to the left rear room and then the left front room to the right rear room crossing the two two paths in the center of the house. That was I was over 10 K steps. Today without doing that I am at 10K steps as I walked further since it was dry outside and dry footing :)

From the way I read it he lost 3 years of appeals. So it was not a fast process.

Sometimes it does not pay to be cheap.
I am sure it was well publicized and did send their intended message. How do You spend all that money and then go cheap on the plates, Wow!

BTW I believe in this country they seize vehicles used in the drug trade too.

    Have a Nice Evening

The gifts Bill Gates has given to Redditors as a secret Santa for the last four years
How does it feel when the world’s richest man is your secret Santa?

“Flabbergasted” is how Aerrix, a Reddit user who got a gigantic box of gifts from Bill Gates last week described it.

Since 2009, Reddit’s gift exchange has brought holiday cheer to strangers’ doorsteps. Last year, over 120,000 people from 150 countries joined in the world’s largest secret Santa exchange, which matches participants through a “giant daisy chain.” Each Santa is given a person’s username so they can scour through the profile to find the perfect gift. There is no fee to take part, but the guidelines recommend spending at least $20 on your gift.

I hope I like them better than You did. I did not order them they were a substitution for the Protein shakes I did order. I will be Going to CostCo tomorrow or Thursday and I will be adding a box or two of different flavor shakes to add variety.

The box does say to use 1/2 cup of ice as well as the water. I may have to change my routine to use these and add more cold water as we do not have ice in the house.

Congratulations on not needing to shovel

    Hello...I've been busy today.
Went for my first appointment with a functional doctor. I think this is what I've been looking for. They look for the triggers for your ailments, rather than just treat the symptoms. I have lab tests to do, webcasts to view, some basic instructions, and a book I can read to get started. I have another appt in a month and will be meeting with a Health Coach (after they get some of the lab results back). We talked today, for over an hour. This will be interesting.
Then I went to my clay group for a little while...I was very late getting there.
Hope everyone is having a good day!

Hi all. Had a very busy day.
Went to the gym in the a.m., then had an appt to get my hair colored...I keep getting it lighter, and with highlights. :) Went shopping for a few things and then went for acupuncture. Got home just after 5 and put up a pot of lentil soup.
Jo, there are a couple of things that are new. Integrative medicine combines regular medical practices with alternative medicine (like yoga, acupuncture, etc) Functional medicine looks for the triggers for your symptoms that you may be able to control with diet/environment/exercise. Integrative medicine is normally covered by insurance, at least for the regular medical part. A lot of the functional medicine is not covered by insurance. Some of my lab tests will be covered, others will not. And the health coaching/nutritional guidance is not covered, so it's kind of an expensive deal, but I think it's what I need.
Anyway, I've decided not to use the prescription eyedrops, because I'm having wierd side effects, like light headedness, an awful tasting lump in the back of my throat, some queasiness, and a headache. I was bleeding from the acupuncture today, which I normally don't and she said it may have thinned my blood!
I do not deal well with medicine.
Have a good night everyone. :)
