    Good morning!
Happy 2017! We had a nice little celebration. Quiet...talking and laughing. Popped a bottle of champaigne at midnight. Roger, I got a bottle of Korbel too...I like the Brut.
Partly sunny this morning. Going to hang out and relax...got a little flare, need to get back to routine.
Have a great day. Here's hoping for a better 2017!

    Hi Vix
We had a quiet evening and went off to bed at 10PM, My Brother was telling me that he was up again at midnight watching the Ball Drop in Times Square.

We split the small bottle of Korbel, It was not that much before retiring.

It was sunny and not too bad out walking this morning.

Good Luck with the flare and getting back on Your routine, and I am hoping for 2017 to be a great year too

    Hi
I was out walking Today for 8,564step. The temperature was 34 degrees this morning and the forecast rain arrived just as I was heading out the door :)
It was not too bad out so I did get ny walking in. I was afraid it might be icy with slippery footing. Luckily for me that is only happening North of where I am. Traffic is very light today, It is even lighter than yesterday morning. It seemed weird to see the lightest traffic day of the Christmas to New Years holiday.

    Have a Good Monday

    Good morning;
Vix-enjoy your swim. I haven't been swimming in a very long time.
Roger-good for you getting your steps in early. I don't think I even made 15,000 for last week.
I will do better once I get back to work.
I found a penny yesterday and a gift car to the hardware store in the parking lot that still had $5.44 cents on it and hubby won $50.00 in a football pool. I hope our luck continues. :)
I will be checking out protein shakes this week.
Irene-i hope you had an enjoyable weekend.
    Have a good day. :)

Congrats on the good luck, Jo! :)
Roger, that sounds like a good walk...it is rainy here today.
The swim was good this morning....I'm kind of achy and couldn't have handled yoga. Off to a massage in a few minutes. That will help too.
    Enjoy your day. :)

    Hi Joanne
This week will be better for steps for You, I'm sure.
I think I overdid it last week, I was over 80K steps for the week and this week I sort of felt it in my knees.

It sounds as if You are on a roll.

I hope You find some shakes You like. The Atkins have been decent in taste, just somewhat high in calories, Not real bad at 160 per, just higher than the old NS especially.

Enjoy the 1st Full Week of the New Year

    Hi Vix
If it had been raining when I looked out the window before gearing up I might not have gone but at that point it was still dry out. Luckily I did wear the Ran Jacket just in case :)

    I hope the Massage Helps

    Good morning!
Raining again this a.m. Off to clay group in a little while.
Looking forward to acupuncture tomorrow. My hands have started swelling up overnight again. She helps a lot with that.
Have a great day, everyone. :)

    Hi
I was out walking Today for 7,965steps. The temperature was 39 degrees this morning and the Overnight rain had moved out leaving light misting in the air when I was heading out the door. There was some moderate gusts of wind too, that made today's walk less comfortable than yesterdays despite the lack of rain and the warmer temperatures :)

I stopped at the Grocery store while walking and bought a head of Lettuce, White Onions and Small Tomatoes for my Brother and 5 Bananas, 2 Smallish Plums and some slices of Swiss Cheese to go with the Ham in the wrap. I only need 1/2 slice for taste so that will be 25 calories of Swiss, 60 calories of Ham and 60 calories of Wrap + a smear of Miracle Whip for taste to make up my SC + PF serving.

The Scale was nice to me this morning for the second day after the New Years Eve Eats. Today I tried some Fresh Blueberries in the Vanilla Turboshake and that did help somewhat :)

    Have a Good Tuesday

I agree not the best looking day out there. I wonder why Your hands are swelling up, Something You ate? I hope the Acupuncture helps with it for You.

    Enjoy the Clay Group

    Good afternoon;
First day back at work after being a slug last week. I am tired and need a nap.
Vix-do your ankles swell or just your hands. I wonder if it was something you are eating?
Roger-I bought a product called Lite Protein( low calorie natural protein. It has 10g of protein, 60 calories and no sugar. I got vanilla cupcake flavor. I will try it tomorrow and see how it tastes. I figured I could doctor vanilla flavor if I didn't care for the taste..

    Hi Joanne
That is what I have been doing with the Vanilla shakes too. In my case until NS changed Protein shakes to Turboshakes I was only doing it for Variety :)
I find that I like adding fruits for flavor, Ripe Bananas, Strawberries and a first today, Blueberries.

Going back to work will do that to You. It does not take much of a break to get a person out of shape for work.

    Have a Nice Day

I think it may be the yogurt....or maybe the medicines. But I want the probiotics in the yogurt at least until I finish up the medicines. I'm finished with the antibiotics tonight, and with the antifungal either Friday or Saturday a.m. I may look for non-dairy yogurt if I get back to a supermarket in the next couple of days. Maybe that would be better. I can't tell if my ankles are swelling or not, they probably are. My hands are obvious. I know I'm just run down and tired all the time.
Jo, it's hard to go back to work after being off! What is the Lite Protein? Is it a shake mix? What type of protein?
Roger, good for you for keeping up with the walking and maintaining your weight!
Have a good night, everyone. :)

    Hi Vix
I hope You find and correct whatever is causing the swelling. It can not be comfortable.

Is it really Yogurt if it is non dairy? :)

I do not think of it as maintaining the weight as maintaining a range that I am comfortable with. Currently I am near the high end of that range due to the Three large Holiday meals in a little over a months time.

That is why I have gone back to the NS weight loss plan vs the NS weight maintenance plan I was using. It is also the reason I am still buying NS foods. They are tasty enough to keep me happy, they work and they are not to expensive. I do wish they would not tinker with some things. Some of the discontinued items I miss and some of the new foods are good, OTOH some of the new additions are a complete miss for me. Example: the Caramel Apple Muffin is only so so. The Strawberry Crepe tastes good, however it is a bit soggy.

    Anyway, Have a Great Evening

    Good morning!
Roger, I guess it's not really yogurt, but a natural product like coconut milk, goes through the same process of adding bacteria and fermenting with the same beneficial result.
I agree with you about the weight range for maintenance....my weight pretty much fluctuates on a daily basis. I am at the top of my current battle range right now. I know I am holding fluids and hope this goes back to normal once I am off the meds. I'm also going to avoid the yogurt today and see if that makes a difference. haha.
Anyway, off to bodyflow class. Also have a dentist appt and acupuncture this afternoon. Still kind of damp here, looks like it may clear up.
    Have a great day, everyone.

good morning, Roger I don't like the cho shakes I have tried it with water and ice and still do not like them. I always liked the strawberry shakes but they did away with them,I will not order these shakes . My knee was hurting a little so I took it easy but I am back walking again so hopefully now I can start loosing again. You would think with all the painting I am doing I would be loosing but at least I am not gaining pretty much just staying the same. Our house in browns mills is just about done I ran out of paint yesterday doing the laundry room so I need to go back today to home depot so then this weekend we will finish the laundry and tv room and then we will be finished then we can relax and do little things like hang pictures and things like that we are really happy how everything is looking. George has just ordered a new treadmill I think it is called the x 9 it goes 40 degrees so it will be a harder work out for him we have one here in trenton but the belt is starting to go I won't get on it because it just stopps don't want to take a chance on hurting myself. Vix are you starting to feel better? Jo has work gotten a little easier now that the holidays are over? Roger so far today I have 9k steps in but didn't find any money yesterday I found 5 cents.

    Hi
I did the Three town walk today where I leave my town and clip the corners of two other towns before returning to my town. While I was out walking Today I did 9,935steps. The temperature was 42 degrees this morning and the overnight rain had stopped, However the ground was still wet and it is just now starting to dry up 2+ hours later.

Traffic was heavy and noisy due to driving on the wet roads. Later on today after a forecast high of 50 or higher a Cold front moves in with overnight lows in the 20s and a wind chill in the Teens :(

    Have a Good Wednesday

    Hi Vix
OTOH if it looks like Yogurt and tastes like Yogurt :)

Lucky me despite a small cheat yesterday the scale was kind to me this morning. OTOH I did try and compensate for it with no afternoon snack or Evening desert and a low calorie NS Dinner Entree, The Beef Stew at 130 calories. What small cheat am I referring to ? My Brother went to a meeting yesterday and brought home some Chicken breast of which I at 1/2 as my Lunch PF and Some tasty Macaroni & Cheese :)
From what the scale indicated this morning it appears I did a decent job of compensating.

I hope that avoiding the Yogurt helps.

Enjoy the Body flow and possibly the Acupuncture, The Dentist I doubt it being enjoyable.

You do seem to be keeping busy.

    Cheers

    Hi Irene
I plan to use other shakes too. These new NS Shakes are not cheap or tasty like the discontinued ones were.

I suspect that Painting does not use all that many calories TBH.

I would not want to get on a treadmill that just stops either, I would be afraid of getting hurt.

Congratulations on getting Your steps in again. So far I have found exactly Zero cents this year. Last year when I totaled up the found money I had put aside once I decided to do that I found it totaled $7.77 :)

    Have a nice Day

Back from the gym. It was hard, couldn't move the way I'd like to, and still swollen. Hoping tomorrow will be better.
Roger, pretty good return for your year of walking...haha...and that's not even including the health benefits.
Irene, wow...you're doing great with the Brown's Mills house almost done. That's a lot of work, but good that it's all coming together.
Jo, hope you got your nap in yesterday!
I made lentil soup for dinner last night, so I am having some of that for lunch today, should be soothing on the tummy.
    Enjoy your day! :)

I hope Tomorrow is better for You too.

FWIW we were out back cleaning up the shed ahead of getting a Disposal service such as 1-800-Got-Junk and that got me more steps and exercise. I am now up to 12,159 steps so far with all that cleaning up :)

    Good Luck

    Good evening;
I am late getting on today. I went to have my hair cut after work today and got home about 5:30.
I tried my vanilla shake today and it tasted just like vanilla cupcake batter. It was pretty good.
Irene-It sounds like your house is coming along nicely. Good luck with the new treadmill.
Roger-I found 5cents today and am at 13,000K+ steps so far.
My NS order should be here in the next couple of days. I am anxious to get back on track.
    Have a good evening. :)

    Hi all!
Jo always nice to get a haircut. I got home about the same time, had a late appt for acupuncture. The shakes sounds yummy. :)
Roger, that looks pretty good, but I'm getting back on my plan....avoiding a lot of things like dairy (whey) and soy, and a lot of the chemicals. And I'm limiting my sweeteners to stevia and xylitol as much as possible. Actually today is the first day I'm back on! Starting No gluten/grains, No sugar, No dairy, No nightshades, and limiting additives, preservatives, and processed foods. Sounds fun, right? It's all worth it if it makes me feel better.
Have a good night, everyone. :)

    Hi
I was out walking Today and I did 7.4K steps. The temperature was 28 degrees this morning a fair decrease from yesterday morning and a somewhat bitter feel to it due to the breeze.

Later on overnight we have snow in the forecast into Friday morning :(

I am taking the Green Hornet files from Yesterday and adjusting the level so they all play back without my having to increase or decrease the volume from episode to episode. Some of them need a increase of over 7 db to keep them from playing back at to low a level. I am also adjusting them to be compatible with the iPod as it seems somewhat finicky regarding Sample rates and the bit rates. That problem or need started cropping up late last year after a iTunes update.

    Have a Good Thursday
